Chapter 15 Song For You

1145 Words
Her long curled eyelashes hid her dark eyes; Her curly hair fell from her shoulders to just half her face; Her looming chest rose and fell regularly with even breathing; Her little mouth was open in fatal temptation. It drove Norman crazy. What a little mischievous darling! Norman fought back the fire of desire in his heart and carried Emma, who was sleeping on the table, across his arms, and into the bedroom. He laid Emma gently on his bed and tucked her in. He kissed her on the forehead and at once turned away. Norman walked out of the bedroom and went into the bathroom. He needed water to quench the fire, and he bathed in cold water. It was autumn in October, but he did not feel cold at all. After that, he felt much better, and he began to write down on a piece of paper the song he would sing the next day, using the memories of his past life.      "Honey I'd walk through fire for you Just let me adore you Oh, honey I'd walk through fire for you Just let me adore you Like it's the only thing I'll ever do Like it's the only thing I'll ever do" The song was called "Adore You," and the lyrics were the words he wanted to say to Emma. He felt an obligation to apologize to the man who wrote this song and to the men who wrote all the songs he would use later. For his own sake, for the sake of his family and loved ones, he had to borrow it for a while. It was late at night when Norman finished writing. He lay down on the sofa and fell asleep. Tonight, he had a dream. In the dream, his live set was full of fans. He became famous by singing one song after another in his memory. He became a superstar and stood on the podium for Song Artist of the Year. He was laughing happily in his dream. By the time Emma woke up, it was the next morning. When she opened her eyes, it was broad daylight. "Norman?" She cried excitedly. She ran out excitedly with bare feet. No one answered her. Norman wasn't in the room. He didn't get cold feet, did he? Emma thought wildly. It wasn't long before Norman returned with sandwiches, doughnuts, and coffee. He couldn't cook, so it was out of the question to cook breakfast for her by hand. He also had no idea what Emma liked to eat, so he could only buy whatever he saw and bought several more. When he came back, Emma was going to complain. At the sight of breakfast, she forgot her preconceived complaint. The man changed and began to care about her. He also bought her breakfast. For the first time, she had the privilege of eating the breakfast he had bought! Emma's eyes brimmed with tears. She lingered silently in Norman's arms. She was touched, too touched to speak. It was also the first time Norman had done it for someone else, and he thought the experience was good. Finally, after the two had breakfast and were all ready, it was time for the live streaming. When Norman entered the Live Set, he saw that the fans had entered the live set at about the same time as him yesterday, as if they had a deal.      Sink or swim depended on this action. If things went well today, these would be the first loyal fans he had developed since he started live streaming.  They were as important as the first pot of money a businessman made in starting a business. "What are you going to sing today? " "I guess it's The Way I Am." "Is that so? It's really good." "Come one, I can't wait." The comment section is getting lively again. "Hello everyone, today I want to sing a love song for you, I hope you like it." His simple lead-in set the comments section ablaze. "What? Love song? Did I hear you right?" "A love song?" "Great! I can learn it and sing it to my girlfriend." Norman looked at Emma not far away. "Here I go!" Emma nodded.     "Walk in your rainbow paradise Strawberry lipstick state of mind I get so lost inside your eyes Would you believe it? You don't have to say you love me You don't have to say anything You don't have to say you're mine Honey I'd walk through fire for you Just let me adore you Oh, honey I'd walk through fire for you Just let me adore you Like it's the only thing I'll ever do Like it's the only thing I'll ever do " Emma had never seen a love song so beautiful. Watching Norman sing with his heart, she thought this was the best thing in the world. In the time of one song, the number of people in Live Set tripled.    His audience grew to more than three hundred. The number of fans for his singing broke 100. Everyone was immersed in his deep, husky voice. Nice! When someone asked Norman about the name of the song. "I didn't know what to call it until the last second," Norman said. "Now, I think I'll just call it ‘Emma’." Upon hearing this, Emma couldn't be happier. It was a song named after her, a song written for her. She felt more and more that she had been right to pursue Norman so persistently. "Hey, take off your mask!" Some began to make trouble again. The fact that he wore a mask had been forgotten for two days. Now it was brought up again.   "We're your fans, so we gotta see what you look like!" Soon, quite a few people came out to echo. "You're not on the police's most-wanted list. Do you have to do that?" Norman looked at the comments and he suffered a great deal. He was the subject of a ban by Regal Entertainment Group. He was coerced. But sooner or later, he would uncover the true face of Regal Entertainment Group. Norman was so confused that he made up an excuse to quit the live set. "This song sounds good." Emma circled him. "I'm glad you like it. There will be better ones in the future!" "I don't think it's a good idea to run away from it." "Why don't you arrange the time you take off your mask in a live set to give your fans something to look forward to?" Emma then began to worry about the negative effects of the mask storm. "That's one way. But let me think." Norman thought about it, but he couldn't think of the right time. Thinking that entering the Live Set would trigger a barrage of questions from fans, he felt frustrated.
