Chapter 6: Kidnapped

1749 Words
Alpha Laven’s POV: I wandered around the pack houses, looking at the security of the pack. It wasn't as nearly as strong or stable as the Blood Moon Pack, but my pack is wealthy, has a high education rate and only breeds the strongest pups. For example: my mother and father never found their mates, so they both found the strongest of each gender and had me, the strongest pup that they could bear. I found a gym across from the houses and decided to enter, seeing a couple she-wolves doing ground tumbling and the males were watching intently, learning from them on the tumbling floor. A heavenly scent hit my nose and I knew Chayse was one of them tumbling. She did a double front flip with a turnover and her blonde friend copied, stumbling slightly on the front turnover. From my mind, they did some things pretty impressively by the impressed stares from the others. I had no idea what each flip Chayse did was called, but Eliza looked like she was trying to copy the teacher. I smirked and they stopped and moved over to the mat, Chayse probably noticing me by ignoring me to appear stronger like she always has. They put on heavily padded gloves to decrease the initial impact of the punch. Eliza looked sweaty, her hair tied back and her chest heaving from the tumbling. Chayse looked normal, like it was something she performed daily, which it probably was. Eliza striked first, aiming for Chayse's face. Chayse easily dodged. "Find where I might go and punch there instead of trying to aim directly for my face." Eliza nodded and punched again, but Chayse caught her fist easily, looking like no effort was being put into it. "Take off the glove and fight me. I'll keep the gloves on for James's sake. He would kill me if I bruised you." Eliza nodded and took off the gloves hesitantly. Chayse nodded again before punching at her stomach. Eliza took the impact, grunting as she was hit. She punched back at Chayse's neck but Chayse leaned backwards, dodging. Eliza grunted and tried romping upwards, but actually flung out her leg. Chayse jumped and tackled Eliza down, Chayse holding Eliza's hands at her side and one knee at her abdomen then shins holding down her legs. Eliza went limp and gasped for breath. "Okay, we'll go again another time. You look like you're burning up," Chayse muttered, lifting off of her and facing the crowd. She found me as she was taking off her gloves and her eyes widened. "There goes my helpless act." I shrugged. "Well, now you can't pretend to be defenseless," I shrugged. "But I knew you weren't completely helpless if you were a she-wolf Delta that was famous among the packs for kicking serious ass." I growled at the rest of the males and they left to their own activities, trying to impress Chayse. "Xander, I was the trainer here after I did my daily workouts with my father. They definitely aren't trying to impress me for that reason," she snapped, grabbing a towel and wiping her face. She then threw it in a basket and walked out, neglecting me. She was so much like me around her trainees. Stern and hard faced. I grunted and walked out back into the streets and moved inside of the pack house where the top ranks were awaiting for the meeting. I walked towards them and they smiled. "Welcome, Alpha Laven, to the Amber Sky Pack. I see you were watching my daughter train?" the Beta said, bowing his head in the slightest. I nodded. "She learned everything from the best anyway." I narrowed my eyes. "I am not here to speak of your daughter, Beta. I have come to know of the threats, Alpha Cardinal. Let's get to business." I snap, a growl forming at the base of my throat. Chayse’s POV: I jogged back to the pack house, taking a quick shower before jumping into bed with runner's leggings and a long shirt, curling up with the pillows. Like they were my life source. I was worn off from the tumbling and teaching Eliza, so I fell asleep quickly. But, I didn't get to sleep for long. Someone's hand pressed against my mouth, sending me into a panicked frenzy. "Inhale," someone growled. I held my breath, kicking and squirming, but more people came and held me down. I growled inwardly, my eyes widening when I noticed what I had done. I had inhaled whatever was on this cloth the person was holding against my mouth and nose. I was dizzy for a few moments before everything went completely black, my body going limp. Alpha Laven's POV: I ran my hand through my hair and opened the door, smelling mixed scents. Some male, some female. I assumed it was from the previous guests. I pulled my shirt off, tossing it to the side as I moved into the bedroom, wanting to see Chayse. She was here at least ten minutes ago, I could smell her scent clearly. "Chayse!" I called. No response. The guest house wasn't very big. Only a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom inside the bedroom. I moved to the connected living room and kitchen and found her scent not here. I went into the bathroom, but her scent was old and washed away. I growled, smelling the other scents. Chloroform. These wolves were kidnappers. That was the threat that Alpha Cardinal warned me about. I threw my shirt back on and roared loudly, anger and fury consuming me at the thought of Chayse being taken in her former pack without anyone to protect her. I wasn't there to protect her. I took a deep breath and bolted to the Beta house and frantically knocked on the door, my mate's bond heightening by the second. The Beta himself opened the door, his son behind him and looking at me curiously. "Chayse has been taken by the kidnappers." The Beta's face reddens as he charges over to the Alpha house and goes inside, coming back out with the Alpha on the phone, ordering troops around. "Alpha Laven, could you lead a few troops? Chayse is your mate after all." I nodded. "Shift and your troops will be waiting for you on the eastern border. Don't be late." I took off, shifting quickly then finding the large group of wolves that had gathered. I saw a deep brown wolf with the brightest green eyes at the front, waiting for me. He nodded respectfully at me and I nodded back like Chayse would've done. I mind linked them. 'Left side of the troop, go with this wolf behind me to the western areas of the eastern borders. Middle go straight forward and you,' I pointed with my muzzle towards a gray wolf with age, but experience. 'Will lead them there. The right side, follow me. If anything occurs, mind link me.' All the wolves stood taller, not in a strengthening position like my pack was trained to do, but in a position that made them look bigger. I ran off to my side, letting the others direct their sides. The right group followed me into the night, past ten trees, tracing for an undefined scent. Chayse’s POV: I took a gasp of air as I woke up, a concrete room surrounding me with only one light above my head. I blinked at the blinding light flashing in my eyes and my wolf vision focused at the dark spots of the room, where I found beings standing, watching me. They all stood taller when someone came down the stairs, larger than all the rest. His eyes were gleaming with orange, his hands folded as he came closer to me. He had the same hair color as Xander, but he let it grow out slightly and didn't have any facial hair. I only felt hatred for this man. "So, how is my brother nowadays?" he asked, his lips playing in a smirk only I could top. I mocked his face and growled, my lips then turning into a snarl. "Okay, Little Wolf, if you won't talk, then we have some punishments for you." He slapped me across the face. My head jerked sideways, my jaws moving in an uncomfortable position. I looked back at him, glaring. "Now, who are you to Xander, huh? Another toy? Another fling?" I growled again and he punched me in the stomach, making me writhe I pain while tied to a stupid chair. "His motherfucking mate," I snarl. The man chuckles. "You are just too cute. What is your strength number? 2/10? 1/10?" he teased. "What rank were you before you became Luna of my former pack?" "I am not cute, I am a sexy ass woman, excuse me. My strength is 11/10 and I was about to become the next Beta of the Amber Sky Pack," I reply. His shocked expression makes me think he doesn't know the first thing about k********g. Do some research, douchebag! "I'm not so cute now, huh?" I kicked my leg loose and kicked right in his groin. His legs buckled so I kicked him across the face, a sickening c***k emerging from his nose. The men in the corners engaged, coming to grab me. I slammed my body against the wall, the wooden chair breaking and the ropes sliding right off. I punched the nearest enemy and threw himself at another before putting one in a chokehold before using him as a launchpad to kick the other in the neck. They both collapse on the ground and I move to the man questioning me. I kneed him in the chest before making my way towards the stairs. Well, until I was stopped by the reinforcements. Even though I kicked another one in the family jewels, they still piled on top of me, heaps of two hundred pound men adding to the pile to keep me down. The man questioning me kicked my face, making me whimper and blood spread across my cheek. "Okay, Luna, it's time for a punishment." The guards picked me up and held me still while the man took his belt from his jeans and cracked it once, testing it out just to scare me. The men turned me around so my back was facing the armed man. Then the first strike hit my back in stinging pain.
