The raven flapped its wings and let out an eerie shriek. A wave of awe spread across the gnome warren as the bird transformed into the shadowy silhouette of a female figure with wings.
"It seems that you missed me, my dear human." The shadow spoke in a familiar voice.
"Is that you, Goddess Vaari?" asked Jake.
His doubts were soon cleared as the shadow took on the appearance of the Goddess of the Night. The gnomes fell to the ground with their outstretched hands pointed in her direction as a mark of submission. Balen and Melos froze in fear as Goddess Vaari spread her enormous wings and blocked the light from the bonfire.
