That night, Jake noticed a sudden change in Emily. There was something wrong with her skin. It had turned darker than before and her arms had developed some kind of rash. He thought it might be some sort of skin infection and decided to talk to her the next day.
The following morning Jake and the others were woken up by Emily’s shrill screams. When Jake opened his eyes, he found that every inch of her skin had turned reddish black. Her anguished cries sent a cold shudder down their spines as they watched her pluck at her orange tresses which came off at the slightest touch. She had lost so much hair in the past couple of hours that her head had developed large bald patches.
