I leaned on the window of Dean's car and no one was inside. I went inside the house and I could hear mom and Dean talking making me frown. First, why was mom home early and second, why was Dean talking to my mom?
I went inside the kitchen and saw mom cooking while Dean was trying to help.
"My son's home." She said and I frowned at Dean who just smiled at me.
"What's going on?" I asked in confusion. "Why are you here?"
Mom pointed the ladle she was holding. "Is that the way you talk to your friend?"
Friend?
"Sorry I came over without notice." He said.
How did he knew where I live? This is insane.
"I let him in because he was waiting outside." Mom said. "Now change your clothes for dinner I'm almost done and your dad will be home after half an hour." She turned to Dean. "And you're having dinner here too, young man."
I frowned in confusion. I didn't know what was going on at all. Everything happened so fast. It was like from zero to a hundred making my head ache.
"This is impossible." I said as I went to my room and changed. "Who's his friend?" I sarcastically said and went downstairs because I couldn't leave mom alone with him, he might be a murderer in disguise.
Dean was already sitting on the couch and reading some magazines. I hurriedly went to the kitchen where mom was.
"Mom, what was that?" I asked and she raised me a brow. "We're not friends."
"Well, he said you went to the camp together." She said.
"Yes, but we're not close friends. He's just an acquaintance."
Mom looked at me. "He wanted to be friends with you and I am glad and thankful that someone came over other than your volleyball team because I was starting to think that you don't have friends in your school."
I groaned. "I have friends. He's a weirdo, I swear."
"A weirdo doesn't know how to cook and not as good looking as him." She said and she was taking Dean's side making me feel a little pissed.
I walked out of the kitchen and went to where Dean was.
"What are you really doing here?" I asked and he was smirking.
"Sorry, I couldn't help it." He said. "I mean, smiling. I know you're getting annoyed by it."
"Yeah. Glad you know."
I was in alert mode when he stood up, placing the magazine back on the center table and he took a few steps towards me making me took a step back and there he goes with his smirk that he was trying to hide but failed.
"Are you afraid?" He asked.
I was wondering how I got in this situation when Dean wasn't even my friend. I could only count the conversations that we had with a hand and now, he was acting like we were so close. How arrogant.
"I'm not. It's because you're a—"
"Weirdo?" He continued and I was about to say the same. "That I went here even though we're not friends nor an acquaintance."
I frowned. "And an eavesdropper."
"I could clearly hear your voice from there." He said and I knew I made sure to lower my voice that time so he couldn't hear me.
"What do you want Dean?"
"I just want to tease you."
"What?"
"Your father will arrive in ten seconds." He said making me frown because he was starting to sound like a breakout from the mental. Something was wrong with his brain but I was counting down for no reason. I was on the last two second of the countdown when I heard the door knob clicked and dad went inside groaning in relief and I was surprised.
"Psychic." Dean said while tapping his head with his forefinger.
"More like a psycho." I said and he chuckled catching my dad's attention. "Welcome home, dad." I said and he turned back after hanging his coat on the hook and looked at Dean.
"You brought a friend with you." He said. "A new face. Is he new in your team?"
"No. He's just an acquaintance." I said and Dean stepped forward. He held his hand to dad for a handshake.
"I'm Dean, sir. Ned's friend." He introduced and dad took his hand for a handshake.
"Don't call me sir." Dad said.

Jameson went home ten minutes after dad went home and Dean didn't have his dinner there which was great because his mom called and looking for him and mom was blaming me when dad asked why Dean didn't stay for dinner.
"You shooed him away." Mom said.
"I didn't."
I went to my room after dinner and scanned my notes for the exam tomorrow but nothing was going inside my head because I was already sleepy. I crawled on my bed instead of studying and went to sleep. I would only study tomorrow.

Practice finished late and I decided to walk home despite it was already dark outside. A lot of people used to walk outside by the street but that night was different. It felt eerie but I still continued to walk increasing my pace.
I jumped in surprise when something passed in front of me so fast. It went to the road and I saw a huge animal in the middle just standing there and looking at me. It was just a shadow but his eyes were the only thing that was shinning. It only have one eye and I could see that it was looking intent at me.
I should be scared seeing something so unusual in the middle of the street but it felt something familiar.
I could hear a horn blaring making me shout at the dog to run because the truck was about to hit it but it stayed no matter how I shouted.
When the truck hit it, it was like I was also hit not physically but emotionally. It felt like I lost everything and it hurts so much.
I gasped as I opened my eyes and realized that it was just a dream. I sat up, wiping the cold sweat on my forehead and I was surprised because my cheeks were wet. I was crying and I didn't know why it felt so heavy even though it was just a dream and it was just an animal.
