GRIFFITH
.
"Why would you let her stay here Griffith? Why on earth would you allow her back into this pack? Isn't it enough that I had to deal with the trauma of what her father did to me years ago? How did you think I would feel seeing the face of that r****t's daughter after all these years?!" Audrey ranted continuously and not knowing what to say, I let her continue with a hand placed firmly on my chin as I watched as pace around my chambers angrily.
"Don't you care about me at all?" She went further to ask. "I am your sister. Your family. Your own flesh and blood Griffith! Doesn't my well-being matter to you at all huh? Or is there another reason why you let her stay here?" Her eyes pinned me down. Angry, blazing eyes shimmering in fury. She was mad at me I could tell but I have my reasons which she doesn't want to listen to so how on earth am I supposed to convince her that it was for our good that Blyna stays here under our supervision?
"I know what you have been through Audrey. Believe me, no one understands you better than I do." I went on, in a bid to pacify her anger. "But I have my reasons and you have to trust that."
Her eyes widened at my response which was followed by an amused laugh. "Humour me then Griffith. Tell me those reasons that you had and why you approved of them without consulting any of us. Don't tell me you're still in love with that wrench. Is that the reason why you let her stay in our mansion?"
I rolled my eyes and went back to the papers on my desk. "You're being unreasonable Audrey. Come back later when you're a bit levelheaded then we can talk about it. You just got back from your trip so it'd be best you take soms time off and rest. I have a lot of work to do and I definitely do not have time for this."
She scoffed. "You're chasing me away? Because of her?"
I slammed my pen on the desk, irritated that I had to go through all of this again. "No. I'm sending you away because I don't have the time and energy for all this bickering. It's not as if—" The rest of my words were caught short when the door creaked open and Blyna walked in with her head bowed down.
"You sent for me Alpha K—" She paused when her eyes caught sight of Audrey at the other side of the room fuming angrily at her with her chest rising and falling angrily with each breath she took.
"Welcome back—"
"Oh save me the useless greetings!" Audrey snapped at Blyna who went mute almost immediately.
"So the rumours were true?" She stalked towards her, chin raised defiantly in anger. Her voice a mixture of anger and rage. "You really have returned to this pack." She said, glaring at Blyna like the vermin on the loose.
"I'm summoning all of you to a meeting right this very instant!" She pointed towards the ground, her eyes darted to me who was completely tired of this situation. It's been days already. Why won't she just let it go.
"Audrey I do not—"
"And I don't care about anything you have to say about it." She screamed back at me. "It's either you make yourself available in the courtroom with your runaway girlfriend right now or watch me make a mess out of myself in the presence of every member of this pack. Your choice, alpha Griffith." And with that being said, she pushed past Blyna and made her way out of my chambers. I ran my hands through my hair in distress.
"Well you heard her. I'm sure that you're familiar with your way to the courtroom so go." I gestured towards the door and after giving me one last look, she turned and left. I followed shortly after and when I arrived, I was surprised to see that everyone was gathered and already seated, including Barrett waiting for me. I haven't set my eyes on him for a while so I'm shocked to see that he was present for this meeting. Blyna on the other hand, stood by the side, her head bowed down like a prisoner awaiting judgement.
I took my seat on the throne like chair at the head of the table. The one reserved for me after my father's passing whilst waiting patiently for whatever Audrey had to say. To be honest, I was quite curious to see how things would play out.
"Why on earth are we gathered here for a worthless piece of tramp?" Collins was the first to speak up. "I have a lot of things to do you know and my time is very precious to me." He added but neither of us said anything, especially Barrett who looked like he didn't want to be here at all in the first place.
"We wouldn't be gathered here if your brother had not let his ex-girlfriend move in here to live with us." Audrey said in response to Collins outburst.
Collins chuckled in amusement. "If it makes you feel any better, I wasn't in support of it from the very beginning but what can I say? He's the Alpha after all."
"Her father r***d me. He stole my future and ruined my life." She screamed out in fury. "She needs to be be thrown out on the streets where she truly belongs. All in favor of my decision?" Audrey growled, pointing at Blyna who remained quiet taking all the insults and backlash from my siblings. I could see that she was very upset and almost on the verge of lashing out but still forced herself to remain quiet.
"Tell that to him and not me." Collins answered raising up in hands in support of Audrey's notion.
"I'm really getting sick and tired of this." Barrett mumbled to himself but loud enough for us to hear. He stood up to leave and I suddenly felt rage building up inside me. The fact that they were disrespecting me had my wolf in ruins.
"I will not and cannot accept her staying here." Audrey argued visibly. Screaming at the top of her lungs as though she had gone insane. "She needs to be thrown out of this pack. She is not welcomed here. I will not stand for this and neither will I accept it."
"Griffith, you have to do what Audrey said. I mean why would you even let her stay here in the first place?" Collins questioned.
"Enough!" I slammed my hands on the table in anger and the room fell silent. Barrett took to his seat almost immediately. My hands curled tightly into fists in anger and annoyance like I was ready to kill someone, I have never felt more furious than I was at that particular moment.
"I've had enough of this conversation. I am the Alpha of this pack and I have made my decision. Blyna will stay here. Anyone who has a problem with it should maybe search for another alternative."
"Brother—" Audrey trailed off but I whipped my head towards her direction and she looked away, snapping her mouth shut. I felt guilty and remorseful for yelling at Audrey but I had to, she needed to learn to respect me and not question my orders. I looked at Collins, one filled with that of anger and bitterness.
"Her father r***d you." I reminded her. "Blyna had nothing to do with that decision. She wasn't even aware of it when it happened so why should she be punished for a mistake her father committed?"
"She will stay here and no one should ever question my orders ever again, understood?" I asked but no one said a word. It's not like they could challenge me even if they tried to.
The decision I made wasn't because i wanted her to stay in this pack, but somehow, i felt it was for the better that she’d stay put, it meant that we could keep an eye on her and prevent her from carrying out any stupid plans she thought she had.
"Fine by me. Now if you all will excuse me." Barrett nodded before exiting the room.
I didn't care about his issues anyway. He was always quiet when it came down to matters like this. Sometimes I even wonder if he was one of us. He never gets involved and was always the first to leave as well. I had grown accustomed to his behavior by now so nothing about him surprises me anymore.
"You're all dismissed and this matter is over." I said and Collins angrily left the room after Barrett. Audrey stood up from her chair and approached Blyna who had no said a word since she stepped into this room.
"I don't know what spell you have casted on my brother to make him do this and I don't care to know either." She started. "You may think that you have won but I just want you to know that I will make your life miserable." She swore under her breath but loud enough for me to hear.
"I will pay back everything that your father did to me in spades and you can be rest assured that your life will only get worse from here onwards. That I promise you." She threatened before leaving the room and slamming the door behind her in anger.
