Never Not Married

The sacred ties.

The carriage finally stops in front of a tall but shabby looking house.Helena watches from the space created as the window for the carriage.She sees the carriage man about to open the door for her and Alice.

After he opened it,he bowed a little so he could lead her outside of the carriage.

Helena steps foot on the snow which surrounded the whole village.She stares unto the sky,feeling the smashing of the coldness on her little exposed skin.

She heard Alice giggles after she comes down from the carriage.She is more than excited to witness her Miss getting married,though improperly.

Helena didn’t take anymore steps after thoroughly studying of the environment.The carriage man made a look for her to keep moving but he saw the she wouldn’t answer him.

“His Lordship is in there and he has been waiting for your presence in the courtroom”The carriage man spoke up.His accent sounds rather Scottish,he’s far American.

Helena wonders what they were going to do in the court to make them married or perhaps the little civilization made them realize big ceremonies for weddings are completely a waste of time.

She wouldn’t want to question the man anymore,she wanted to see for herself what her random suitor had prepared for her.

Edward frowns at his pocket watch as he paces around the room.He wasn’t alone,there is a man with him,dressed in a priest attire and then another man stands behind a counter at the right hand side of where Edward has been pacing to.Richard also stands in front of the man who had hidden his large body behind the counter except his plump face with a large round nose pointing at Edward.Richard crossed his arms,staring at his impatient friend.He looks down at the dusty ground and then up at his friend again.

“But you had told me you are not eager in anyway to meet her,if I would known you cannot breath in her absence,I would have brought her myself,just within a wink of an eye”Just then,the door opens.Richard who had wanted to start another round of jokes he makes to his friend cursed the moment the door opened.

Edward looks up and then found his wife already staring at him.He looks her up and down,examining if his wife was not switched cause he can’t find himself trusting that old cunning father of Helena.

Rather than keep staring at her,he makes his way in front of the man who had dressed in a priest dressing.

Helena stares at the only man she recognized in the room.She watches him move in front of a man who looks like a priest and then throws her a scary look.

“Good day Miss”A man says and Helena turns to face a godlike look.Richard was smiling at her with a smile she finds so charming.Rather than the scary dark feeling she had felt around Edward,she found Richard’s presence rather securing.It makes her feel a warmth she thinks she had been searching for her whole life,it’s love at first sight.

“Am Lord Bastian but you can call me Richard”he takes her hand and drops her warm kiss on it.Helena didn’t know when she started blushing until she received a look of surprise from the stranger who had introduced himself as Richard.She quickly adjusts herself and clears her throat.

Meanwhile this was happening,Edward watches as his wife melts in front of Richard.He found it disturbing for him to witness this kind of scene with his friend and he’s about to be wife.

“You have kept us waiting for too long and the least you could do right now is to flirt with a complete stranger”Edward’s voice holds respect,it shaken Helena to realize she had completely forgotten about the real reason she was there at the first place but she wouldn’t think Edward could say it loud and clear she was flirting with someone she had never met.She looks at Edward who was still staring at her with a totally complete look of anger.Helena looks down when their eyes collided.At the moment,she feels like she had offended a Lion who would surely revenge on her it’s either by eating her whole or cutting her into pieces to feed his Lioness and cub.

“Lord Edward..please be appeased”Richard faked a bow and then breaks into a roar of laughter.

At that moment,Helena knew her first ‘love at the first sight’ is going to be her husband’s friend.If only she can stop this dreadful nightmare of hers that’s about to happen but that’s if wishes were horses nor does she believe horses were wishes.

“Thou giveth man and women to earth to create a never ending lineage and the existence of true love___we are here today to tie this young lovers into one and to be whole in the later future..Do you Edward Pollock agree to be Helena Bridge’s lawful husband,from this day upward,for better for worse,for richer,and poorer,in sickness and in health until death do you apart”

“Yes I do”Edward didn’t hesitate a bit before giving his answer,he had been impatient to put it to an end anyways.

“And do you,Helena Bridge agree to be Edward Pollock lawful bride,for better for worse,for richer,for poorer,in sickness and in health till death do you apart”The priest stares at Helena who can’t find herself saying the expected word.

She looks at Edward who kept the scary gaze all the while.

She kept wondering if she could say no and she could probably be free.She knew she couldn’t but she’s more scared of the life she’s already imagining to be with the Demi god staring at her.

“Yes I do”The word slipped out and her heart begins to go in a faster pace when she knows what happens next.

“You are therefore tied as wife and man..you may kiss the bride”Helena couldn’t breath.She had never kissed anyone in her life and her first experience is going to be with the man she doesn’t love.She knew her imaginations are in fairytales anyways,it can never come through.

Edward bends a little to meet the height of his new bride.He brings his mouth closer to hers and gives her a peck on the lips.

He withdraws and then stares at her surprised look.He knew right then,he is getting slowly seduced.
