Chapter 007

HANNAH The triplets and I continued talking, and I found myself relaxing with them as time progressed. Then, I began to notice their features. While they looked similar, they had noticeable differences that made them stand apart. Cade was the tallest, with long brown hair up in a bun. His dark grey eyes complimented his pale, handsome face. He was quite muscular and had the typical bad-boy demeanour. It would be hard for any girl not to fall for his appearance. Jace, on the other hand, had blond silky hair, and it was obvious he cared a lot about his looks. His greyish-brown eyes shone with mischief, and while he had an easy-going smile, it was obvious that he wasn't one to be messed with. Chase seemed to be the one who talked the least. He was more observant than the two, with his dark greyish-green eyes taking in every detail. His dark curly hair had been cut off, but he had more facial hair than the other two. He also smiled the least, and I sensed people steered clear of him more than Cade and Jace. My attraction to them was obvious, and even if they hadn't been my mates, I would have had a crush on all of them at the same time. They looked too handsome to be real. "Anything you want to tell us? Secrets? Hobbies?" Cade asked, jerking me from my thoughts. I blushed and blinked rapidly, trying to come up with something. But there was only one thing on my mind. "I can't shift." I blurted out. For some reason, I also told them about my insecurities, like my wolf being weak and how I got picked on by others for being different. I didn't know how to filter what to tell them and what not to. For many reasons, I was scared they would leave me if they found out I was lying about anything. They were the only boys that had managed to spare me their attention, and I didn't want to mess it up. Surprisingly, Cade laughed and shook his head. "Our sister, Willa, did not shift till she was eighteen. There are several other wolves who shifted quite late. You're not a loser because of that. Put your mind at ease." I stared at him for a long time, unsure of what to say. It wasn't just that he made me feel better about myself, but he did it with sincerity. He wasn't patronizing me. He actually meant every one of his words. "Are you this kind and charming to everyone you meet?" I chuckled. "Or is it just me?" "Just you." Jace smiled. I could feel their Alpha Aura flowing through me as we continued to speak, but I also sensed that they were holding back most of it because of me. Omegas could not handle so much of it as it could drain us and sometimes even kill a very weak one. The little they were giving out was nearly overwhelming. "Can I meet your sister someday?" I asked, returning my focus to the conversation. "Someday?" Cade smirked. "We can take you right now." That was quick. Whatever happened to school rules? "Are you serious?" "Tell us when you're ready." I pretended to think for a second, but I was nearly bursting out of excitement. "We can go after school." "Perfect." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After school, the triplets walked me to their car, a fancy Chevrolet Silverado. I could see the looks of jealousy from other girls and it made me blush that I was finally envied by someone. Anyone. "She probably thinks this will last." "They will get bored of her." "They should be with pretty girls like us. Ugh." Everyone had something to say, but I wasn't surprised. I was used to it already. And I would be jealous too if I was one of them. Asher used to be the 'King' of school but he was nowhere as gorgeous as my mates. For many reasons, I knew I was going to be the topic of gossip for a long time but I didn't care. This time, I had supportive people around me. 'At least for now,' Mace whispered and growled. I didn't blame her. As my wolf, she was supposed to protect me. And our last experience with Asher left her scarred. But everything was happening so fast and my life was changing so much in less than a day. I nearly could not believe it but I just had to look around me to see that it was actually true. I prayed to the moon goddess, and she answered me. I believed so. The drive to Ice Stone Pack was quick and lively. When we arrived, I was in awe. I could immediately see that things were very different than in our pack. Everything I saw up to the point where the car pulled into their large estate was mind blowing. "Welcome to Ice Stone Pack," Jace announced immediately after we exited the car. 'Hannah, don't overreact. Don't overreact.' But I couldn't help it. This was more than I imagined. "Beautiful…" I whispered as my eyes danced around. Everything was beautiful, from the sculptures down to the grain of sand on the ground. "I told you she would love it here," I heard Jace tell Chase. "You owe me 20 bucks." I chuckled and shook my head. Soon, my gaze fell on a young girl, maybe older than me by a year or two, walking toward us. I didn't need to ask questions before I knew this had to be their sister, Willa. They introduced her to me and she gave me a big hug, promising to speak with me soon since she had some urgent work to finish. She also informed us that their parents weren't home and she hoped I would meet them some other time. Somehow, I was relieved they weren't home. I didn't want to meet them just yet, especially with the way I looked. What if they were not as loving as their sons? Or they wanted princesses for them? "Hannah, let me show you around. There's a lot for you to see." Cade offered and I agreed since there wasn't much to be done. We hadn't walked very far when I saw a scene that made me run towards it. It was a training ground, but that wasn't what shocked me. Amongst the men training were also women and girls. Women were actually training with the men, and it didn't look like it was their first time either. At that moment, I realized what the triplets meant when they said everyone had power in their pack. In my pack, men trained differently, and women were only allowed to join if they were excellent shifters. By excellent, they clearly meant children of royalties and important pack leaders. As I watched them, I imagined joining them. If only I had trained, I would have been able to stand up to bullies like Asher and Julia. No one would have looked down on me for being weak and feeble. Cade must have noticed my particular fascination with the women's training because he came up to me. "You are staring. Do you want to join them?" He asked, following my gaze to the training ground. "Can I?" He nodded. "You can do anything you want. Just say the words." I thought about it long and hard before I replied to him. "I want to learn how to fight."
