Emily's Pov
I stand still in front of the office door, not giving Nina any opportunity to leave the room. The professor looks at me with widened eyes. My claws are still exposed, and I can feel my fangs on the tip of my tongue. Lily is on alert, sharpening all my senses.
I can clearly hear the accelerated heartbeat of Nina and the professor. They both look at each other with apprehension.
"Emily, you seem confused. Your father's death shook all of us, but I believe you felt it even more..." the professor suggests with compassion in his voice, trying to approach, but I growl at him.
"Don't pretend to care, professor," I spit out the words with a grunt. "I know you're from the Wolf MoonShade pack. I know Nina has been working with Alpha Frank Frost," I accuse.
