Henry, on the flip side was looking perplexed as his eyes raked from Eric to Pase, while muttering out a small, "What the hell is up with these two..?". But it was ignored, as Pase raised the silver-wrought wand of his, not by much to shoot anything, but enough to elicite a gasp from the knight who ought to protect his prince.

"Is it because you thought I would steal your love?" sneered the mage, his greesy hair falling over the cockled lines of his forehead, which was trimmed with scales, "Did you think I would ruin the chance you had with him? Is that it?"

Avianthan neighed from behind, almost ready to charge at the mage, but the prince raised his hand to ask the mare to stay right where she stood.

He turned to Pase, "What are you talking about? Who is whose love? I'm kinda lost here," he uttered, glancing at his knight who was frozen to the ground. But realising the other two were ignoring him for the umpteenth time, he couldn't help but sigh.

The wizard didn't bother explaining, instead he let out a laugh of irony while the knight's head spun like a literal cartwheel. But then Eric remembered that he should be protecting his prince from whatever harm's way, and at the moment he was doing anything but that, as the prince was much closer to their enemy than him.

The knight strode towards his prince, simultaneously drawing his sword from the scabbard hanging against his hip with a sharp chime. But before he could come anywhere near, the mage pointed his wand at the prince's heart while the royal teenager looked at him in utter turmoil.

"If his love is what you want, then I'll give it to you, Eric." and with that, a spear of pure whiteness shot into the prince's chest, exploding against his shirt and making the blond hiss out. Like electricity flowing in a closed circuit, the magic leapt through every inch of his body as Eric yelled, "My prince!"

The knight swung his sword in one swift motion when he had come close enough to the mage, and the blade ripped across Pase's puckered green skin, making a long deep cut ripe in his arm as he fell back with a loud cry. Eric's sword fell down alongside a snarky ring, and the knight quickly ran up to his prince who stayed passive without budging, like a statue carved of shiny gold.

"Are you okay? Please, look at me!" a sob ripped out of Eric while shaking his prince by his shoulders. He saw how a line of pink drew a pattern of a heart over the prince's pupils before disappearing, it was instantaneous, but Eric saw it clearly and correctly. Then he saw how the blond blinked few times, snapping out of whatever daze he was trapped in.

On the other hand, the sounds of Avianthan trying to kill Pase, the mage screaming for his dear life while also crying about the fresh wound in his arm, and the neighs of the gelding who was trying to calm his girlfriend down, rocked in the background.

"My prince, can you hear me?" Eric asked, quickly snatching his rough hands away from the prince's stainless ones. The Prince's thin lips curved up, slowly leaning his face towards the knight, who backed off immediately.

"Your highness? Is something wrong?" the red head asked in absolute confusion, feeling his throat suddenly disarraying into a hotchpotch of rugged knots. He saw the way prince charming grinned at him so endearingly that he almost lost his breath, the already buckled up knees of his going extremely weak at how the blond got on one knee in front of him.

"Eric, I love you so much." Henry whispered slowly, taking the knight's hand in his own before pressing a chaste kiss on top of his knuckle. At this point, the ginger was in the brink of fainting, as the man of his dreams looked up at him, staring straight into his eyes before muttering out the words he had never expected to hear, not even in his wildest dreams.

"Will you marry me?"

For some reason, the Knight just knew. This had to be magic.
