Recovery at the hospital

FEW MINS BEFORE THE INCIDENT

AT CHRISTIAN'S POW:

I was doing my morning routine when I started to feel pain in my neck. I gasped for air and felt confused, not understanding what is going on. I never felt that kind of pain before, and it was weird.

-I think that you feel your mate pain.-My wolf said to me.

-For some reason, I think that you are right! -I said and ran off my room.

I started to look for her and what I saw was horrible.

Ana was holding Madlena by her neck, and suddenly she threw her on the floor. I saw how Ana grabbed a hot pan and poured oil on Madlena. I could almost feel pain, and I rushed to them and pushed Ana away from her.

-Chrisitan?!-Ana looked at me, shocked and surprised.

-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?-I growled at her.

-I teaching her a lesson. She is telling me that she is your mate!-Ana growled back.

-BECAUSE SHE IS MY MATE.-I said to her.

-BUT I AM ONE.-Ana growled at me even louder.

-YOU ARE MY SECOND CHOICE MATE, SHE WAS FIRST ONE, AND YES I MARKED HER. NOW.GET.OUT.-I growled and pushed out Ana of the kitchen.

-You just told her everything.-My wolf said to me.

-I know, but since Madlena is my mate, I HAVE to take care of her.-I said to my wolf.

I do not know why I suddenly got so mad. I said to myself that I am never going to care for her, but I do. That is probably happening because of our bond. I touched her gently and felt small sparkles. That made me sure that she is alive.

-C-christian.-I heard how she whimpered my name weakly.

-Shh. Don't talk.-I said. I knew that her throat might be damaged because of what Ana just did to her.

I leaned closer to her and picked her softly up by bridal style. She feels so light. I never thought that wolf girl could be this light. She was not eating or something? I started to walk out of the kitchen and saw how she started to lose consciousness.

-Alex! Tell the pack doctor that I am coming!- I mind linked to him.

-Yes, Alpha!- Alex said.

I started to walk faster until I reached my pack doctor. She was quite old, but she knew what she was doing, and that was enough for me.

-What happened, Alpha? -She asked me.

-My mate is injured. Ana tried to choke her. Also, I saw how she poured hot oil on her.-I said with a worried tone in my voice.

-Lay her down.-She said, and I did that.

I watched how she started to check her up. I noticed how she removed her shirt, and I saw that oil burned some of her chest skin. That did not look pretty. I am sure that Ana did that to make her turn into an ugly girl. I watched how the pack doctor applied a cream on her wounds. She looked at me.

-These are some serious burn marks Alpha. It is not deadly but pretty serious. She must take care, or she might have an infection, and that can be deadly.-She said.

-I understand.-I said.

I watched how she checked her neck and frowned. I watched how she placed a breathing mask on Madlena's face and sighed.

-What is wrong?-I asked her.

-She was badly injured, and her body suffered from a lack of oxygen. I can feel that her wolf is trying to help her, and right now is in control. When she wakes up, her wolf might still be in control. I bandaged her wounds, and I can do other stuff only when she wakes up.-Pack doctor said to me.

- I understand.-I said and smiled.

-She might wake up in a few hours.-Pack doctor said and left her room.

I sat down close to her. She looks so peaceful when she is sleeping. I fell mad for Ana, who was not supposed to act like this on the first day here. I know that she is my second choice mate, and she is gorgeous and everything, but that does not make her able to do everything she wants.

-You look worried kid.-My wolf said, and I sighed.

-I do feel worried about her health.-I said.

-Seems your second choice mate got a terrible temper.-My wolf said, and I had nothing to agree with him. He was right at some point.

-I know that. I will explain everything to Ana after I meet her.-I said to him.

- I glad that you at least smart enough to think something like this.-My wolf said, and I frowned.

I kept watching Madlena, while she was still asleep. I feel sad, that I was not able to help her earlier. She is my mate after all, and I did a bad job by protecting her. Maybe I still do not accept her as my mate, but I still want her to be safe. I kept sitting close to her until I heard someone walking inside the room. I turned around and saw Ana.

-What are you doing here?-I asked her with a mad tone.

- I came to apologize. I did not know that you found one more mate before me.-She said and gave me a fake smile.

-I do not care about that at this moment.-I said.

-But C-christian...-She said with a sad voice.

-Just leave Ana. -I said and watched how she left Madlena's hospital room pretty mad.

-She is trying to mess with you kid. She just pretending to be nice so you could forgive her. -My wolf said.

-I know that.-I said to him.

I heard a slight whimper, and I took a peek in Madlena's direction. She was starting to wake up. I smiled a bit.

-You awake.-I said to her.

-C-Christian. -She quietly whispered my name.

-Yes, it's me. Don't talk much .-I said.

She looked at me confused. She probably does not understand what is going on.

-You are at pack hospital. I took you here after you passed out.-I said.

She nodded and gave me a small smile.

I saw how the pack doctor walked inside the room. She looked at Madlena and smiled.

- How do you feel ?-Pack doctor asked Madlena.

-I f-feel good.- She said.

-Can she write on the paper?-I asked her pack doctor.

-Sure.-She said and handed them to Madlena a small piece of paper and pen. -So why you so light Madlena.

'I just do not feel hungry' - Madlena wrote down.

-Madlena, you have to eat more. -Pack doctor said.

'Some people keep telling me that I am ugly to be Christian's mate'-Madlena wrote on paper, and I frowned.

-Who are telling you that?-I asked her.

'Some people from your pack. They think that you took me as a mate because you had no other choice. At some point, this is right Christian.' -Madlena wrote down and, I sighed.

-Madlena they can not tell you things like that.- I said.

I heard how she sighed and looked away.

-Madlena, you have to eat, or your body will be hard to recover from what just happened. -Pack doctor said and smiled.

'I understand. I will eat more'- I saw Madlena wrote down and smiled.

-I will make sure of it. I noticed that I feel worse when you feel like this. This is one of the reasons why I want you fee alright.-I said and saw how she smiled slightly.

-You can take her home, but she must take care of her hand.-Pack doctor said and left the room.

I smiled and picked her up. I saw how she grabbed the same paper and wrote down something.

'I can walk. I got harmed, but I am not that weak'-Madlena wrote down.

-I do not care. I picked you up, so that means I am the one who gets you home.-I said and walked off.

After some time I went inside our pack house. I walked inside her room and placed her down on the bed. I mid linked some of the servants to bring her something to eat. After a few mins, one maid walked inside the room and placed a plate with the food on the table.

-I got you some food. Now be good, and eat.-I said.

I watched how she placed food closer to herself and started to eat. I smiled and kept watching until she finished her meal.

-Was that so hard?- I looked at her and smiled a bit.

I saw how she gave me a small smile and laid down. I kept watching her until she fell asleep and then left her room.

-You do care about her a bit.-My wolf said.

-Maybe you are right. I don't like, when my pack people getting harmed with no reason.-I said to him.

-You know, I think that Ana was jealous of you getting mate before her.-My wolf said.

-I think you  right.-I said.

I left for my room and fell asleep too. I wonder what the next day is going to give me. Maybe not another boring day sometimes, so boring to do the same thing over and over again. I also need to think about what I am going to tell Ana after I meet her tomorrow. I can not be too nice, or she will start to act like a brat again. Time to go to sleep. After a few more mins, I fell asleep.
