Chapter 10: Day Ten

“The seaside?” Mason asked as they stood on the asphalt right before the sand.
“Yes, you probably haven’t been here in a while, right?” Edward asked as he looked at the author.
“No, I’ve been too busy with work to come…” Mason seemed to be in a bit of a daze as he stared at the ocean and the way the waves crashed onto the shore.
“Then let’s go. Take your shoes off.” Edward said as he took his own shoes and socks off and held them in his left hand.
“Guess it doesn’t hurt to take a walk…” Mason said as he also took his shoes off and held them in his right hand.
“Come on.” Edward said as he took the author by the hand and led him to the beach.
