Two twins and One damaged mate

Chapter 3: Waking up

-Skylar P.O.V.-

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP….

I groan from the sound I am hearing. What the hell? I then shoot up from where I am laying only to fall back down because the light hurts my eyes. I blink them a few times before my eyes finally adjust and I can see that I am in a hospital bed hooked up to a bunch of machines. I feel my anxiety rise as I have no idea where I am or what is going on…. until two women walk into my room. I feel myself calm down upon looking at one of them.

She looks to be an older woman and there is something about her that calms me down. She has jet black hair that reaches just above her shoulders, and she is short. Shorter than most female wolves, and the other woman with her meets some of her facial features, but she is taller than her. She also has long brown hair that is in a nice bun, and the women are both skinny, but not too skinny. You can tell that they have “healthy weight” as some people call it. I am pulled out of my thoughts when the taller woman speaks to me.

“Hello, my name is Hannah, and I am your doctor. This is my mother, Lilith, and she is the Alpha of this pack.” My eyes light up from the mention of her name and I look at her to which she smiles. She then lays her hand on Hannah’s shoulder.

“This is my daughter, that is why we look similar, but she gets her height from her father. Now, I am guessing from the way you just looked at me, that you know me? Or have you heard of me?” She asks calmly. Something about her voice makes me trust her and I don’t know if that is a good thing or not.

“Yes…” I say just barely above a whisper. She then nods and then looks over to her daughter. Their eyes glaze over and then Hannah leaves. Lilith pulls up a chair and sits by my hospital bed.

“How did you find out about my pack or about me?” She asks calmly again.

“I have heard of things about you, but I found you through the help of Alpha Xander.” I tell her while I stare at my hands. She hums which causes me to look at her.

“You are not from Xander’s pack though?” She asks.

I nod my head no. “I was from a different pack.” I trail off.

“What pack are you from? Why did you leave?”

I look around everywhere but her. I don’t know if I am ready to tell her why because I do not want to cause trouble here. She clears her throat making me look at her.

“If you cannot tell me then let me hold you hand. I am not only the Alpha of this pack, but I am also the Demon Queen. I am a special type of wolf, so I will be able to see through your memories why you ran and what pack you came from. After I see what happened, I will ask you what you would like to do and then I will respect those wishes. Now you are welcome to stay in the pack for as long as you want, okay?” I take in everything she says and then I hold my hand up. I honestly don’t know what it is, but something draws me to her. As in, I trust her. I can feel it. She takes hold of my hand and she only holds for maybe a minute before she pulls away.

I look up at her and gasp because her eyes are blood red, but I feel no fear from seeing her like this. Her eyes glaze over and then there is a man standing at the opening of my door. I freeze until he looks at Lilith and I hear him say “My Queen.” I then put two and two together that he is indeed her mate. He must be the Demon King. He then turns his attention to me and calls me by my name making me look at him.

“Skylar, I know this is asking a lot of you, but I need to come in to hold my wife. Seeing through your memories has angered her and she doesn’t want to scare you, so she called me here. May I come in?”

I don’t really know what to say, but I just nod. He comes in slowly and walks straight to Lilith. He then pulls her up and takes her seat as he pulls her into his lap. He then wraps his arms around her waist, and I see her eyes go back to their normal color and then she looks at me and sighs.

“I am sorry you had to see me like that, but seeing your memories made me so mad that I almost portaled there and killed that man. I did not want you to fear me, so I had to call for my husband to come. I am also sorry if having him in the room is making you scared or fearful, but I promise we will not hurt you. Now what has happened to you will stay between us, is that what you want?” I nod while she sighs. “I also need to tell you something, okay?”

I wait for a second and then answer her “Okay...”

“You passed out a few feet away from our border and my two sons, who are twins, found you and brought you here. Now, if it were anyone else that was found, I would have been called to come and speak with you. But my two sons are your mates.” I start to breath heavily while the room starts to spin from the information that she just told me and just before I go into a panic attack, I feel her grab my hand. I instantly calm down, so she continues. “It is rare to have two mates, but I think since they are twins that is the reason why you are mated to both of them. Now, I know this a lot to take in, but they need to see you. I will stay right here with you while they come in, but they just need to lay their eyes on you to make sure you are okay. Is that okay?”

I think about it for a moment and come to a decision. “As long as you are in the room. I don’t know what it is about you, but for some reason you calm me, and my mind is telling me to trust you.” I tell her softly. She smiles then stands for her husband to go get her sons. Once he leaves, she turns to me.

“That is Asmodeus, my mate. Also known as the Demon King. Now your mate’s names, plus my sons, are Elijah and Aiden. They will still introduce themselves to you, but they will keep their distance. They just need to calm their wolves by letting them know that you are okay now. Also, I will ask one of our witches to make you something to bring your wolf back. I know since you have been dosed with wolfsbane for so many years that it has caused your wolf to be very weak, but I can feel her. She just needs some strength and one of our witches can make something to give you that power, okay?” I nod and smile at her.

I want to ask her why I feel so safe and calm around her, but before I can ask my two mates come to the door. Good Moon Goddess…...they are so handsome. I just stare at them, but then I cower in fear once they step into my room. I see hurt flash before their eyes and I feel a ping of hurt pierce my heart. It must be the mate bond. They only step inside the room and then they just stand there.

The one on the right speaks first. He has brown hair, but he looks just like his brother. “Hello, my name is Aiden.” He looks over to his twin. He looks up and meets my eyes making me suck in a breath. “Hello, my name is Elijah. As you have probably been told or have guessed, we are twin brothers.”

I just nod. Then Lilith speaks for me. “This is Skylar. She has been through a lot because of her old Alpha and it is going to take time before she feels comfortable around you, so I may be around for the most part, okay?” My mates then nod towards her. Then the named Elijah takes one step forward and looks me in the eyes.

“I don’t know what you have been through, but I know it caused you a lot of pain. Just know that my brother and I will never do anything to harm you or to make you uncomfortable. We will respect whatever wishes that you ask of us, and I know you probably don’t want to be around just yet, but would it be okay if you saw you or kept a close eye on you? Our wolves are going crazy because they want to comfort you and be there for you, but we know that you need time.”

My heart swells from hearing him say that they will keep their distance and not harm me, and when I look over at Aiden, I can tell that he feels the same. The only reason I am calm right now is because of Lilith, so I find the courage to speak. “Thank you, Elijah and Aiden.”

Their eyes snap to me and they smile with so much pride that I actually spoke to them and that I said their names. Before I could feel overwhelmed, Lilith kicked them out. She then turned her attention back to me as Asmodeus stepped back in my room, but he stayed near the door.

“You will be staying with me, in my house, instead of the pack house. Now my sons live with me, but they will keep their distance, plus I know you feel safe/calm around me, so it is better for you to be around me/live under the same roof as me, okay?”

I nod at what she says, but I need to know why I feel this way. “Why do I feel safe/calm around you as if I have known you for years?” I ask her quietly.

 Asmodeus then chuckles. “She is a powerful wolf with certain powers, but her aura/energy gives off a safe feeling. That is the reason a lot of people join our pack or live here. Another reason why a lot of my demons left hell to come here. Once she became the Demon Queen, she can project that feeling onto someone to calm them down because she can feel your energy. Once you get your wolf back, she will tell you. But let me formally introduce myself, I am Asmodeus, Demon King/Ruler of Hell. I promise the name makes me seem like a monster, but I am not. Lilith is also my mate, as you call them, and she has brought a whole new meaning of life to me. Now enough with me rambling on. I will take my leave now. I hope you can grow to trust me one day. Goodbye Skylar.” He then walks over to his wife and places a soft kiss on her head making her smile.

He then walks out of the room, and not too long after he left a lady comes to my hospital room. She knocks on the door frame making Lilith and I look up at her, and Lilith stands up and takes a mason jar from her hands. I wonder what that is. Lilith then takes the lady, and the lady bows then leaves. Lilith then walks back over to me.

“This is a potion that will help bring your wolf back. Your wolf will not be 100%, but it will help her surface. You will get stronger as the days go by since you will no longer be drugged, but this is the first step. Now drink up.” She then hands me this mason jar.

I take it from her, and I sip on it, but it doesn’t taste bad so I down it. I want my wolf. I miss her. I only got to know her for about a week before she fell too weak to come forward. I was sure that she was dead, but after hearing that she is still there gives me hope to one day feel normal again. I downed the potion and then I handed the jar back to Lilith who took it from me with a smile on her face. Then I laid my head down to sleep.
