Chapter 12
Francis stood over Cameron’s body checking on her and looked over at the clock. She had noted to herself that it had only been a couple of hours since she had passed out on them and was not sure what was happening. Francis tried to think back as to what had happened, but her mind was blank. She remembered there was a calamity, but what it was and what happened, why Cameron had to go… Francis did not know and was extremely frustrated. She wanted to be with her.
“I’m a clever dog, you can throw me a bone Cameron!” she said to Cameron’s body. She wiped a tear from her eye and kissed Cameron’s cheek and walked out.
“How’s Cameron, Francis?” Bri asked as Gabrielle walked in from the garage.
“She seems fine, breathing at least. Do any of you know what happened? I don’t.”
