Chapter 11
The ground came suddenly, and I hit it with a hard-thudding sound. My back arched and my legs went numb for some time and I felt like I could not move on. Soon I began wiggling my toes and fingers, soon thereafter life began to appear into my body, and I was back on my feet.
God it felt like it was taking forever to get somewhere after I got my footing back, but I never moved one inch. The darkness that surrounded me fascinated my mind and made me think something was watching me. I was not sure what it could be, but I imagined a great beast of some sort with snarling fangs and fire breath.
