Isabel knew Patrick had continually avoided the topic of marriage, even though he was engaged to Willow, and she had seen the photos and videos of their engagement. She wondered, "What went wrong between them?"
She wanted to ask Patrick about it over the phone, but knowing how stubborn her younger brother was, she didn’t want to anger him further or bring it up. As for Loveth, she had only sent her there to take care of their mother but was surprised to hear from their mother that Patrick had actually carried their new maid in his arms when she got injured.
Isabel sighed and returned to the kitchen to continue cooking in her home downstairs. She loved cooking for her husband; even though they were rich, they had no maid.
