Alexa felt awkward to Zacchaeus’ mother but she showed respect to her. Nagulat pa siya ng ngitian siya ng ina ni Zacchaeus bago ang mga ito umalis.
“O-okay. That was new.” Sabi ni Alexa sa sarili.
Napatingin si Alexa kay Zacchaeus nang akbayan siya nito. “What’s new?”
“Your mother smiled at me. She was not like that when we first met, the second and the third time. And until last time, I think she changed the way she interacts towards me.”
Ngumiti si Zacchaeus. “Ayaw mo nun? My mother started to like you.”
“It feels weird.”
“Pareho lang kayo.” Bulong ni Zacchaeus pero narinig ito ni Alexa.
“May sinasabi ka?” tinignan niya ng masama si Zacchaeus.
