Mia’s POV
I hear Amara’s voice and try to open my eyes but the light is so bright. When I finally focus, I am so happy to see her and Hunter. Where am I? Why am I in pain?
I blink as I remember what happened and I reach down to my stomach. I remember Sandra stabbing me in my stomach before I lost consciousness.
“The baby…” I whisper. Hunter looks at me with a pained expression and cups my cheeks. “The baby didn’t make it. I am so sorry love.” No, not my pup. My baby… I let out a scream and a howl and collapse onto the bed and darkness finds me again.
I open my eyes and I am in a meadow, the same meadow I always meet the Moon Goddess. This time I don’t wish to see her so I close my eyes again. I feel a warmth touch my cheek and I open my eyes.
“Athena?” I say as I look into the silver
