Chapter 5: flashbacks

Sandra's POV "We are done here. Your leg will be completely healed in 2 days maximum." Doctor Peter said wrapping my leg. "Thank you." I murmured getting up. Kevin helped me back to my 'room'. I sighed as he put me on the bed. Now it's impossible to run away. I have to wait for my leg to heal, and be smarter. I mean who in their right mind kicks down a huge door? Yep, that's me. Definitely my dumb wolf's idea. 'Hey! Don't blame me bïtch.' Cali groaned, but I ignored her. I am so tired, I didn't sleep since I found my 'wonderful' mate. I closed my eyes, and for the first time today, I let a sob break through my body. Tears fell from my eyes. I tried to act strong, but I guess this is my breaking point. I promised my parents I will save myself, and I found myself now in the clutches of a psÿcho alpha. I turned around on the bed, on the good leg, and tried to sleep. Ever since my parents died, I had nightmares about seeing them being killed, while I was held back by my pack members. Such cowards. I hate them all. 'Mom stop! Wait for the alpha to come!' I snapped at her. She saw rogues in the forest and she wants to kill them, before anyone gets harmed. 'I will go with her princess, stay here.' Dad kissed my forehead. 'Please be careful. I can come if you want, I am not weak and I finished my training.' I begged my father but he smiled. 'I know you are a very strong girl, Sandra. But let your old parents handle this.' With that, my dad went to the forest with my mom and I heard screams. Rogues knew that the pack warriors were being picked out to go to the training in the Blue Moon pack. The borders weren't guarded and all the members were in the center of the territory. 'Sandra!' Alpha Christian and Luna Adaline joined me. 'Alpha, Luna, my parents just went to the forest. There are rogues in there!' I stated and they nodded. The alpha and luna were followed by pack members. We all followed my parent's path. I stopped abruptly when I saw my dad's neck being snapped. My mom screamed. 'Sandra, take care and stay safe. Save yourself from here. Promise me you will.' Mom smiled sadly as she was torn to pieces. I screamed by was held by my friends stopped me with horror on their faces. 'Let me go!' I kept screaming. The rogues fled in the blink of an eye. The alpha followed them with the pack members. I ran to my parent's bodies and screamed more. 'I promise!' I woke up breathing heavily. I was sweating and my voice was hoarse from all the screaming. Caroline was standing in the corner of the room watching me with wide eyes. I saw a cup of water on the stand next to the bed and gulped it. I wiped my tears and stood up. I limped towards the bathroom and closed the door behind me, locking it. "Luna if you need anything I can help you." Caroline said. "I want to get out of here, can you help me with that?" I snapped. I didn't hear her anymore, until my room door closed softly. Figured. I washed my face with cold water and evened my breathing. I wasn't okay, and I needed to get the hell out of here. I can't stay in this prison and wait for my prisoner to come and get what he wants. "Where is she?" I heard that rough voice, that I love yet hate so much. How can I love a monster's voice? I should loath him! I hate this mate bond. I hate that the moon goddess would have the liberty to choose our mates, without asking us if we want to be with them. "Go away." I snapped. "Come out of this fücking bathroom. I am not playing little mate." I could hear the smirk in his words. "And I don't care what you want! I want to stay here! You kept me prisoner in this room, now you want to control where I stay too?" I screamed at him. My throat hurts. Seconds later, the door was crashed down. I gasped when I saw Serafino's red eyes. He was breathing heavily. He grabbed my hand and pulled me outside the bathroom. I yelped when I stepped on my injured leg. He froze when he noticed. "I don't have the time to play with you, little mate. You either do as I say, or I will kill you. Mate or not. I don't care, do you hear me?" He growled in my ear and pulled back. His eyes were pitch black, long gone the blue in them. His jaw was clenching. His lips were parted a bit. His hair was neatly pulled back. Unlike when I first saw him. I ignored him and focused on his looks. He was gorgeous, I am not going to lie. Oh shït! I am thinking about my crazy mate. I shouldn't. I have to be strong and stop thinking about him. "You deserve a medal for being the perfect mate of the year." I wanted to punch him so much, that my hands twitched. "I don't joke with you little mate, in fact, I prefer not to see you, but Caroline here thought you were 'dying'. Her words. She thought I would give a fück if you were dying or not." He laughed without any trace of humor. "Then get out! I don't want to see you neither." I said calmly. "Or better, let me leave, I promise you will never see me again." He growled loudly and slammed me on the bed. I yelped. He just surprised me. He climbed on top of me and neared his face to mine, our noses were touching. His minty breath, and his pine and wood scent was all around me. "You fücking stay here little mate, and if you escape I will hunt you down." His voice was low and raspy, it made my stomach flip. "Go to hëll." I whispered. "Oh I am going just there darling." With that he was out the door in seconds, leaving me in a mess of breathing and beating heart.
