CH:3 Two Days

Michael was reading the file. It was sent to him by Jake.

Jake is the beta of this very arrogant Alpha.

But, he is also Michael’s best friend.

Jake knows Michael for twelve years. He is so familiar with his moods. He understands him, and they are like brothers.

Jake and Taylor both were present in his office. They both were sitting on the chairs opposite him.

Michael told Taylor to go, and prepare. They are going to Laine City. They need to get ready before leaving the pack. So, Taylor left twenty minutes ago...

"We will leave in two days. I want to make sure when I show up. The man doesn't have any chance to run or hide from me. I haven't slept after hearing this news." Michael said.

"Yeah, AND you didn't let us sleep," Jake said. He was hearing him for hours. Jake was deep in thought, Michael cleared his throat to grab his attention.

Jake raised an eyebrow. Michael starts looking directly into his eyes. He has something to say, but Jake is a bit hesitant.

"Anything wrong, Jake? You want to tell me something?" Michael asked him. He can sense his hesitation and nervousness.

"Michael, yes! There is something I want to tell you. I haven't added it to the file. But I wanted to tell you by myself." Jake said. Michael nodded.

"He has a daughter. The girl's name is Emelia Rose Jasper. She is 20 years old. He is her only family." Jake told him.

Emelia Rose! He did remember little things, but hearing her name, Michael felt something strange but powerful. His wolf wants to come in view. It wants to talk to Michael.

But he blocked his wolf from the back of his head. He wants to listen to his beta. Jake further said.

"Alpha, the girl is in college. It's her graduation ceremony in two days.

The girl doesn't look like any kind of threat. Our men are watching them closely. They never lost sight of both them. They are informing me about their whereabouts from time to time." Jake told him some more details.

Michael smirked. An idea pops up on the surface of his mind. A devilish grin appeared on his face. Jake was looking at his face in disbelief as he knows what is running in his head.

"No, don't do that, the man may be your enemy. But the girl didn't do anything wrong." Jake said. Michael smirked.

"Don't worry! I am not a monster." He said.

"Okay, listen to me. Jake, I will leave in two days. I am leaving you here because I want you to take charge and protect the pack. Jake, make sure to patrol the pack boundaries once by yourself. I will be back in two days." He instructed his beta about the pack security.

"Okay, Alpha, I will do that, I will take my charge." He said.

"Okay, you can go and take some rest. I will see you soon..." Michael said.

“Finally, okay. Goodnight!" Jake got up from the chair.

"Goodnight!" Michael said.

Jake bows a little to him.

He turned around and went towards the door.

He opened it and went out of the room.

People talk! They say he is a monster.

He is not the one to forget his enemy, nor did he forgive them. He clutched his hands in fists thinking about that man.

"I will rip his heart from his chest. I will sherd his body to pieces. I will take revenge for my father's death. AND that Moon Stone. He stole it from my pack. He took it from my father's crown. The Moon Stone belongs to me." He thought and heaved a sigh!

"It will give me the power to be unstoppable. It will also increase my packs strength. I will destroy that man and his close ones. Everyone close to him will pay. Every single person he loves will end with him. I will take revenge for his betrayal." His eyes were glowing.

As the thoughts of that man come to his mind. It always boils his blood. He clenched his jaw and his hands into a fist. Michael punched the nearby wall that made a c***k into the wall.

"What are you doing? What is wrong with you?"

A voice echoed in his head.

Michael’s wolf stopped him. THUNDER growled.

"Control your anger. We need it when we face our enemy. I want you to be calm. You are near your pack. I don't want you to lose control."

Thunder growled at him.

Michael can feel it bearing its teeth at him. It is a warning to back away and control.

He heard his wolf. But he didn't want to talk with Thunder.

"I am not in a mood to involve in any conversation," Michael said. Thunder growled one last time then went back.

Michael got up from his seat then went and lay on the couch placed in his office. He was so tired the fairy of sleep engulfed him.

Michael woke up when he felt someone's presence in his office. He opened his eyes to see who disturbed him. He saw Lilly was standing at the door of his office. She was staring at his sleepy face, but when he stared into her eyes.

Lilly diverted her gaze.

He woke up and sat on the couch. Lilly came inside the office. She went towards him and sat beside him on the couch.

"Why are you here Lilly? Do you need anything?" Michael asked her.

"Alpha," She said.

He saw her face in confusion.

"I am fine and I don't need anything..." She said with a smile.

"But, what is going on with you?" She asked.

"Me, what is going on with me?' He repeated her question.

"Yeah!" She said.

"Nothing, I am fine." He said.

"Michael, are you alright? I didn't see you coming out of your office from last night. Is everything alright?" She asked. He nodded his head and smiled.

"Lilly, everything is fine. Don't worry! I was busy with some pack work." Michael assured her.

"Is it dinner time?" He asked. She nodded her head.

"Michael, you know how much I care about you. I don't want you to get worried about little things. I want you to be happy. These lines of worry don't suit you." Lilly said in a low and soft tone.

Michael caressed her cheek.

"Sweetheart, I am fine. Come, we will eat dinner and then I want to go for a run. Thunder is scratching the back of my head to let him go." Michael said. She giggled.

"Okay, I will go on a run with you!" She smiled.

They both walked outside of his office then came into the dining area. Everyone was sitting at their places waiting for their Alpha to join the dinner table.

Michael sat on the head seat.

The dinner was already served. Everyone started eating their food.

Lilly was sitting beside him. She is a good friend of Michael.

Lilly is the younger sister of Jake. Michael also treats her like his little sister. A bitter memory of the past ran in his head when he remembered his younger sister. He was so lucky and blessed.

He let go of his bitter thoughts. Lilly was smiling and asking him to eat his food.

Lilly takes care of him when he is angry or disturbed. Lilly is the one to make sure he is eating good and taking proper rest. She makes him feel like family.

But, Michael knows she wants more she doesn't see him as her brother. She is in love with him.

AND Michael, he doesn't believe in love. He is waiting for his mate. And that’s all, he has saved himself for only his soul mate. And she will come in his life sooner or later... But it is out of habit. There is no feelings of him involved in this matter. All wolves have soul mate. So, he must have one.

And Lilly...

The way she sees him. The way she cares so much! She is beautiful.

Lilly has green eyes and cream colour skin.

The brown hair suits her so much. She is a beautiful girl.

But Michael doesn't feel anything towards her.

He doesn't want ‘LOVE’ feeling to come into his life to ruin everything. He doesn't want any women other in his life as his weakness or his strength.
