CH:4 Graduation Day

(The Next Day)

Emelia woke up at 8:00. It's graduation day... She was sitting on her bed. How did these two years of college pass so fast? She sighed.

She has made so many memories.

The happy memories in the canteen. The naughtiness in the locker room. The little fights on small nonsense things. The friendship that she developed with some amazing people.

Emelia has met so many people in college. But a few of them has a special place in her heart.

Emelia's first friend ever was Cindy from fourth grade. Her best friend! And she thought that she will not be friends with any other girl than Cindy.

But in college, she met with Samantha. She was equally crazy like both of them, And they became the best trio.

Emelia then met Johnson. The man of her dreams, it looks so unreal. And her emotions for that one particular guy. He is loving, caring, and makes her feel like a princess. Emelia is so happy with him, it's all very perfect! There was a beautiful smile on her face remembering these memories.

It makes her heart a little ache that it is all going to end today...

Emelia finally got up from her bed. She went to take a good shower for thirty minutes. After completing her morning chores. She went and open her wardrobe to take out her dress.

The dress that Cindy bought for her, she bought two dresses. One for her and the other one for Emelia to wear on graduation day.

It's a light peach dress with draping on top. A short length skirt with drapes on the waist and thin straps attached to the top. Overall it's a very elegant and comfortable dress. Emelia wore the dress and curled her beautiful hair, they look so beautiful and shiny. Emelia applied some mascara, eyeliner, some pink lipgloss and wore her silver pumps. She was all ready to get going when her phone starts ringing. She saw the screen, it was Cindy.

Emelia picked up her call. She heard Cindy's cheerful voice on the other side. She was a bit more excited than usual.

"Hey, Cindy." Emelia greeted.

"Hi, babe!" She giggled. Emelia felt it.

"What is it, Cindy? You sound like you saw a very handsome hot hunk that asked you for a date?" Emelia was also laughing.

"Yes, it's a handsome hot hunk. But he didn't ask me on a date. It's something more than that..." Cindy said in a meaningful tone. Emelia was surprised and excited.

"Cindy, tell me, please!" Cindy went silent to create some suspense. So, she asked her again... But Cindy kept quiet. Emelia started feeling anxious.

"Cindy, you are irritating me. I am going to end the call." She warned.

"No, Babe! Actually, it's a secret. But you know, I can't live without telling you." Her voice came up again.

"Ok, Come on, tell me, what is it?" Emelia laughed.

"It's about Johnson..." Cindy's voice erupts back.

"What about Johnson?" Emelia asked. She felt alarmed. She was going to complete her sentence when someone grabbed her phone.

The call got disconnected.

"What? Hello, Hello?" Emelia said. But there was a beeping sound coming from the phone. Emelia redialed her number, but it went off.

'Strange! This girl is crazy. What about Johnson? What was she going to tell me? What surprise?

I will ask her in college.' Emelia thought then shrugged her shoulders.

She turned to look back at the mirror. She was staring at her reflection in the mirror to give a final look at herself. She is looking very pretty.

Emelia has pure black silky hair. Her hairs go down till her waist. Her eyes are shiny black, her milk like skin is shinning with a natural glow. She has a round beautiful face. Emelia has a sleek and curvy body with all the curves in the right places. She has perfect height, 5'6 does suit her so much! Emelia doesn't wear heels because of her perfect height. She smiled.

'I look good, Maybe...' She said in a little less confident tone.

She sighed then turn around to get going, Emelia saw her father standing in the door frame. He is smiling.

"My daughter is looking beautiful! I didn't know that she will turn into a beautiful girl so soon..." He said. She smiled looking towards her father.

"Thanks, dad!" Emelia went and hugged him.

"I bought you a graduation gift!" He said. Emelia smiled then look up to her dad.

"Oh, dad, you didn't have to..." She said. But he shook his head.

"I wanted to... AND this is something very special, Mia. It is a very special gift. I was waiting for your graduation day to give it to you." He said.

Emelia look up to her dad, he took his hands in his pocket. He let out a small black velvet box. He gave that box to Emelia. She opened the box.

Emelia was mesmerized! There is a pendant inside of it. It is a moon-shaped pendant. Its sides are made of silver. In between the slot of silver, there is a stone. It's a pure white stone that is carved like the moon.

Emelia fell in love with the locket. It's eye-catching.

"Thank you, Dad, It's so beautiful." She cheered. He smiled.

"Dad, help me wear it." She said. He nodded his head then closed the hook of the locket. Emelia smiled.

"Take care of yourself, Mia." He said and kissed her forehead.

It's well-matched with her dress. She was feeling so happy wearing it.

Emelia felt a jolt of energy after wearing it. She felt something awoke in her inner self, it's like something is inside her that was sleeping. And it's wake now in full energy.

Emelia zoned out. Her father cleared his throat to grab her attention. Emelia looked towards him.

It feels like he wants to say something, but he is hesitant. Emelia felt like he doesn't want to spoil the moment.

"Dad, anything you want to share?" She asked. He smiled looking at her face.

"No, My princess. It's nothing. Mia, take care of yourself. Also this pendant, it's a very special gift." He said. She nodded.

"Now, Go. Johnson is waiting for you." He said. A blush came upon her cheeks.

She took her phone then came out of her room. She was walking towards the door. But before leaving the house, she turned around to look at her dad. And said...

"Dad, I will wait for you to come. I want you to feel proud when your daughter will be graduated."

He laughed. He thumbs up to wish her luck.

"I will be there." He said.

Emelia said goodbye to her father then left the house.

She was feeling excited, happy, nervous at the same time. But there is one more feeling. A strange one! She doesn't know but she feels as something is going to happen.

It's a very strong gut feeling. Emelia was in her thoughts when she collided with a hard brick wall.

"Ouch!" She cursed. Her hand went to rub her forehead.

Emelia looks upward to see the wall. She found her handsome boyfriend looking dashing in his black suit. He laughed looking at her scrunched face.

"Johnson, you are laughing at me?" She frowned then made a pout. He stopped laughing.

Johnson grabbed her hands in both of his hands. He starts looking her in the eyes directly with a passion. She blushed scarlet. Johnson came closer and whispered in her ear very sensually.

"I think, I am dead after seeing this beautiful girl in front of me. The girl is looking dangerously beautiful." He complimented.

Her blush went dark on her cheeks. Emelia hid her face in her hand. She knows her cheeks would be red.

Johnson laughed. He kissed her on the cheek. They both were so caught in the moment and both were looking at each other with a passion when passing by a man said.

"Cute couple!" They both burst out laughing.

"We are getting late, let's go," Johnson said. She nodded her head. She starts walking towards his car as they reach near the car. Johnson opened the door for her, he is a gentleman. Emelia thanked him for his lovely gesture.

She sat inside the car and they drove off towards the college.

After the drive for twenty minutes, they reached college. He parked the car and they both get out of it.

Emelia spotted; Her two best friends came towards them, Cindy and Samantha.

They came near them And then said in a chorus.

"Love Birds!" Emelia smiled looking at both of them. They all went inside. There are all their batch students and their parents.

All of them took their coats and caps and wore them, they all lined up.

Emelia was looking at the audience for her dad. But, he was not there... One by one they called all students.

Finally, it was her turn. The principal called her name and she went on the stage. He smiled looking towards me. The Principal handed her the degree. Finally, she got the degree. Emelia was feeling very happy and proud. They are graduated!
