Oh I am so thankful for this holy time of the year where I get to laze around in bed but then my conscious just wants to ruin my dreams of sleeping in by saying 'I know its winter break but you still have to study'. Sometimes I really want to just tell it off but what can I do I am a nerd (cue-I am a nerd-musically). Those who will get that reference, we can be friends and those who didn't, look up Liza Koshy musically compilation.
I am in my second year of college and my major is psychology. It may seem easy to people but it is one of the hardest subjects when learned in-depth but it is also one of the most interesting subjects. Also I do some extra studying of neurology because it is really important to know the human brain as well, both of them are interconnected and it is fascinating. I know sounds very nerdy but we all have that one thing that we all find passionate. Some people study music but they aren't called nerds but people who are more into logical and well centrally academic( not as creative as music or art) are called nerds which is plain stupid.
"buttercup shut your goddamn alarm, its f*****g pissing me off"
"ooh looks like someone is on their period"
"f**k you nana"
Ems shoves her middle finger in Ariana's face.
"I am. calm your t**s woman"
"where are her t**s? Never seen them before"
Ariana comments, I know she is trying piss off Ems and it is working, why? Because right now Ems is getting up with a pillow on her hand and stalking towards nana, who also has a pillow in her hand. This is so usual to me because this is our ritual, nana always pisses off Ems and then we all have pillow fight. I am always on nana's team and Angel always takes Ems team.
"well here I come b***h"
Ems says and also we curse a lot, not because we are mad at each other, it is just our way of showing love. If you think Ems is mad right now then you still don't get it. She is never mad, she always pretends to be mad and at the end we all just laugh.
"let's commence this war"
After about atleast a half-an-hour of pillow fighting and some wrestling we all stop and start laughing like freaking lunatics but that's just the way we are.
"so what is the plane for today??"
"well you tell me"
"how about---"
Angel stops Ems by putting her hand on her mouth
"I know what you are going to say and that is not happening. We are not going to another insane party where we will end up hammered. Like last night"
"jeez mom take a breath"
Ems says.
"I wasn't going to suggest that"
"ok go ahead"
"Well I was thinking we can go to this annual fair that is being held near the campus. What do you say??"
"Oh the Olly fair. I know the name is very--"
"It sounds fun"
nana replies excitedly. She loves fairs and arcades... she really likes these activities. Also yes we are staying at our campus right now.. well in our dorms. We all will go back home together because our parents all live in the same city. Our houses are pretty close too.
"thank you"
Ems says and does a little bow and curtsy and we all laugh watching her. Everyone thinks of Ems as a party person and the truth is she is one too but she likes doing other stuff too. She is majoring in Art. She loves everything related to art so we visit art galleries also. Ariana is also a party animal but she loves arcades much more. Nana is majoring in English honors. She really loves literature and wants to be a teacher so that she can teach people about wonderful but still unknown literature. Most people read the classics but never want to challenge their view by reading another types of literature which are not as common and much more unique. She wants to introduce people to literature like that. Angel is majoring in designing, she wants to design clothes which have uniqueness yet refinement. She always tells us about how there some of these mindless fashion trends which look totally not practical, people wear them to look 'unique' but not really wearable. She wants to turn fashion into something which is practical but still pretty up-there and not make it 'once wear, twice never'.
"Okay its settled then.. the fair starts at 7:30 pm. We will have to start getting ready at like six or six thirty."
"Okay I will be back from the café by then."
Ems says. She works at a café and it is the best café and it is actually not that far so it is easier for her to travel the distance. The café is owned by a very sweet couple, they are near our parent's age just a bit older and they are both so kind and caring. They love providing students with a quiet yet very lively space. Everyone that goes there knows each other and newcomers are welcomed with hospitality.
"Okay bring us the blueberry cheesecake too"
I say, I love their food.
"Yes buttercup I will. Also don't study too hard. okay??"
"Yes Ems"
"I will also be back by that time."
"where are you going?? oh meeting with lover boy??"
"yes and lover boy?? really??"
Angelina retorts smiling and rolling her eyes. Angel is dating a boy from our college and he is a business major. His name is Aaron and he is the sweetest, we all are actually friends. He is Ems cousin and we all know him since we were like toddlers but he moved away for school so we couldn't meet him but he proposed to Angel in the senior year and they have been dating since and don't worry we gave him the sis warnings.
"Nana what are you going to do??"
"Well I will be with you today buttercup. I need to do some research for my extra papers."
"Okay. I will help you after I finish my chapter reading. okay??"
"yeah I need all the help."
"You will be studying with Aaron huh??"
"Yeah after the break we have to submit a full outfit design. Its for a guy so Perfect for me."
"What's the topic?"
"event formal"
"Oh please can you do one of those suit and skirt pieces"
"I know what you are talking about. I will but I need to make it much more extravagant so tomorrow I will go for some fabric shopping so buttercup... you wanna come with me ??"
"yes I will"
And with that we all get to work.
