I collapsed onto the bed in Sienna’s room. It was almost as spacious as Ashton’s, but I imagined she wished it were even larger.
“Goddess, this morning went worse than I expected,” I sighed. Ashton truly viewed me as nothing but the enemy, and Sienna had brought that upon herself, yet I was the one paying for it.

“You know, I don’t even know your name.”

I smiled a little. “Nice to meet you, Ember. At least you’re on my side.”

“And you have nothing to worry about. It isn’t your fault. We tried, but maybe we just can’t mend what has happened between Sienna and Ashton. It is what it is. I should just focus on how to be Sienna now and if there is a way to go back.”
