Heading to Aurumfaust 2

The next time Julius woke up, he was startled awake by his wife who was frantically shaking him. “Julius? Julius? Honey, wake up!” “Ouch!” Just as Julius was about to wake up, Eisha slapped him across the face. “W-what was that for?”  Julius said while holding onto his face in pain. This was Proto’s body and it was naturally weaker than his normal body so Eisha’s slap was rather painful. “Ah, sorry about that, honey! But now’s not the time for that! We’re being attacked!” Julius immediately sobered up and asked, “Attacked? By who?” “The dwarves!” “What? Why?” “Everything was going well until we were suddenly attacked by a few human forces and a few of the mimics’ cloaks were torn away.” “...And what of the humans?” “Some of them fled away while the rest perished under our joint attack but now, the dwarves are aiming their weapons at us!” “...” Julius had a solemn look on his face upon hearing this. He grabbed Eisha’s hand and walked out of the carriage. “Look, I’m telling you. We are not humans!” “Save it, ye backstabbing swine! Ye kill yer own people and deny that ye’re of their race when clearly, yer a human!” “For the last time, we aren’t humans!”  Aria was currently arguing with one of the dwarves. Julius could see that the dwarves all had their weapons out and poised to strike at any time while his fiends had sheathed their weapons and didn’t show any sign of hostility.  He walked to the front with Eisha and Aria quickly noticed them. They had taken off their cloaks so their faces were revealed. Unfortunately, no matter how they went about this, Julius and his fiends looked human through and through. However, fundamentally, they were different. Aria stepped to the side and bowed when Julius and Eisha approached. “This is my race’s king and queen. We’ve come specifically to help you dwarves and conduct business with you.” “Enough of yer jabberin'! We’ll never again do business with ye spineless humans!” Julius looked at the dwarf and used Proto’s unique [Transform] skill. He changed his body to look like his normal body’s Metamorphosis form. Seeing his fearsome transformation, the dwarves all took a step back in caution. They didn’t appear afraid which put a smile on Julius’s gruesome face. However, this smile only looked menacing to the dwarves. Eisha and Aria also transformed and used their [Metamorphosis] skills. Aria had 4 pairs of bones pierce out of her like spider legs and it lifted her from the ground while her mouth split open as fangs replaced her teeth and two mandibles grew from the sides of her face.  Her arms split into 2 pairs and she now possessed 3 additional pairs of eyes on her forehead. She looked terribly menacing and this raised the dwarves’ caution.  After experiencing her evolution, Eisha’s Metamorphosis form had a few changes. She now had 2 pairs of wings and they were much larger than before but she had them tucked in so they didn’t get in the way. There was a third eye on her forehead but it was closed at the moment. This third eye was the physical manifestation of her [Fiend’s Eye] skill and it granted her the ability to see a few seconds into the future while also letting her fire a concentrated beam of fiend energy from it. After completing her transformation, Eisha quickly flew up into the air and with incredible speed, flashed towards the cliffs nearby. Aria also followed her lead and jumped up onto the cliffs. After a few seconds, bodies began dropping from the air, landing right in front of the dwarves who were shocked at the sudden development. Julius checked his map and made sure that there were no more red indicators nearby before he nodded at Eisha with a smile. The bodies that his wife had dropped in front of the dwarves were all human corpses. The dwarves saw this but they continued glaring at Julius and the others.  “This ain’t proven nothin’! Ye still have humans in yer midst!” Finally, Julius opened his mouth. “Don’t equivalate us with those loathsome creatures.” “Huh?” “Although we do look human, I can assure you, that we are not humans.” That much was already certain because Julius and Eisha’s transformation was anything but human. However, their forms didn’t match with any of the races the dwarves were familiar with and they did business with nearly every race in the world. Julius snapped his fingers and a few mimics hefted over a few crates filled to the brim with gold ores.  “This is our goodwill gesture to you.” Julius had the mimics place the gold ore-filled crates in front of the dwarves whose eyes were sparkling, not with greed, but with desire. The dwarves had some abnormal love for ores and minerals so they couldn’t resist themselves when they saw so much in front of them. “You don’t need to grant me passage. Just tell your king this: ‘We have a way to bring back his daughter from the dead’.” “Hm?!” “Also, what we’re talking about is not necromancy but resurrection. He can have his daughter back without any repercussions. My only request is that we be granted an audience with him.” Julius said this before reverting to his normal form. Eisha and Aria did too but this didn’t lessen the level of wariness the dwarves were showing to them, however, the leading dwarf whispered something in the dwarven language to one of his compatriots and that dwarf used some kind of spell and disappeared from the spot. “...We’ll let our King know of yer intentions...however, if ye betray us like those humans―” Julius quickly cut off the dwarf’s threat and said, “Their vanity will be their own undoing. They think they’ve developed to the point where they don’t need you dwarves’ assistance anymore so they tossed you aside with the excuse of ‘vanquishing’ evil.” “...” “Rest assured, my race isn’t so treacherous. You dwarves aren’t the only ones who have been screwed over by the humans.” Hearing this, the dwarf leader loosened his frown while a clear tinge of surprise flashed in his eyes. “So… yer ‘race’ has already experienced their treachery?” Julius wanted to smile since his slick tongue finally worked but he held it in. “This is hardly the place to talk about my race’s history. Just know this, we aren’t humans. We are fiends.” “...Fiends?” “If all else goes well, we’ll have plenty of time to interact in the future.” “...” It wasn’t a moment later that the dwarf from before suddenly reappeared and whispered something to the commanding dwarf. “Our king has agreed to see you. However, he says that if you are lying...the consequences will be severe.” “We’ll know about that later, won’t we? “Hmph.” The dwarves allowed passage for Julius’s caravans and they were escorted by the dwarves all the way to the city of Aurumfaust. Along the way, Julius had his eyes fixed on his map. Whenever a red dot suddenly appeared on it, he had Aria move to deal with it. Some of the indicators were monsters but most of them were humans who were spying on the Aurumfaust City. They were monitoring the situation to see who was coming in and out of the place.  Julius didn’t want his existence to be known to the humans just yet so he made sure Aria promptly dealt with all of those spies. The dwarves were surprised at first whenever they saw Aria break off from the group and even thought that she was trying to do something detrimental so they stopped the caravans and began threatening Julius again. However, when she came back with a few human corpses, their anger and suspicion dissipated a bit. The dwarves’ deep-seated hatred towards the humans was still blazing due to recent events so every human corpse they saw, the dwarves’ felt a small sense of elation and their level of caution and wariness towards Julius and his fiends toned down a little. To the dwarves, they saw each other as family so just losing one of them would cause immense grief and sadness. This was especially so because it was their princess they had lost this time. Of course, they were still unsettled with the mimics’ human forms but it wasn’t like Julius could have his mimics dispel their mimicry. The mimics had a drawback that once transformed, they couldn’t be dispelled because they would lose that form forever and they would need a new form to transform into. Due to this, human corpses were precious to Julius since he needed to use them to let his mimics transform. Of course, he was able to prove their race innocent because, in front of the dwarves’ eyes, one of Eisha’s newly spawned mimics devoured one of the human corpses and transformed into said human in the next instant. As the Matriarch, Eisha gained the ability to spawn fiendlings. These fiendlings would randomly grow to become one of his available units, a mimic being one of them. The process of spawning these fiendlings was rather s****l since Eisha needed a fiend to impregnate her with their seed so that she could give birth. Naturally, only Julius was allowed to do this and through Proto’s body they worked together to spawn a few fiendlings, and thanks to her [Growth Enhancement] addition, the fiendlings were quickly incubated inside of her and after she gave birth to them, they quickly matured. These created fiends were just a product of her skill and not natural-born babies that grew inside her and possessed their own souls. The souls embedded inside these fiends all came from the fiends’ collective consciousness so they couldn’t exactly be called Eisha’s children. They were having s*x inside their wagon and a single load of Julius’s c*m allowed Eisha to spawn 10 fiendlings at once. They only stopped after Eisha was able to spawn 2 mimics to which one of them Julius ordered to display its powers to the nearby dwarves to assure them that the ‘humans’ in their midst weren’t actually humans at all. The dwarves had let down their caution by a few levels after seeing the mimics’ ability. The other mimic Julius had placed on standby to showcase their ability to the dwarves’ Mountain King so that he could prove his race’s innocence. “H-Honey…” Eisha was lying on Julius’s body at the moment, exhausted and drained from their session. She had to spawn quite a few batches of fiendlings before the right ones grew to become mimics.  Her [Spawn Fiendling] skill used up a lot of her energy and she needed to rest and recharge. Julius wiped away her sweat and dried his body before putting his clothes back on.  He lifted Eisha up and placed her on the other seat lying down so that she could rest. Julius didn’t know what to think about her new ability. She was slowly becoming the true mother of the fiends with each of her new evolutions. “Lord...We’ve arrived.” Aria knocked on their carriage’s door a few minutes later. Julius stretched his body and straightened his clothes. Before asking Eisha, “Are you still tired, my Love? You can rest in the wagon while I go deal with the Mountain King.” “N-No...I’m fine now. In your current body, you’re not as powerful as you normally are.” “We have Aria…” “I know, but I just don’t feel assured since I’m not at your side.” “...Mhm.” Julius checked on her condition before agreeing to let Eisha come. “I just need to eat something and I’ll be fully recharged.” “We’ll buy a few things along the way.” “Thanks, honey~”
