Just as he was about to have another thought, the door behind him that was not entirely closed was suddenly pushed open. When turning around, a woman was already Infront of him, smiling at with sadness in her eyes when she saw what he had in his hands.
Just as he was about to have another thought, the door behind him that was not entirely closed was suddenly pushed open. When turning around, a woman was already Infront of him, smiling at with sadness in her eyes when she saw what he had in his hands.
This woman looked a bit similar to Brittney, but she was far much beautiful. Daven slowly looked up and down with a thumping heart.
The woman wore a pair of skinny jeans that lined her curvy body perfectly, with a black plain T-shirt that she tied on her waist in a stylish way and left two curls hanging down at her face.
Daven frowns in puzzlement. Who was this woman now? ' Is there also someone living here with Brittney? '
" The wedding was planned to happen in 2 years." she slowly takes their marriage certificate from his hands, and looks at it sadly.
When the voice was heard, Daven immediately recognised the owner. ' But how can it be? '
" Huh? " Daven's mind was swimming in confusion. " Britannia... right? "
' Great! now he even doesn't remember my own name.' Brittney looked straight in his brown eyes without saying anything, until the moment later she said, " It's Brittney..." she paused and puts down the certificate before trying to hold his hands.
When she does this, Daven quickly shoved his hands away with a frown. " I don't think it will be a good idea for us to be holding hands. We are not together anymore so..." His cold words were like knives stabbing in her chest.
Fast as light, her tears began welling up but she held them back. " What do you mean we are not together anymore? We never divorced or anything like that."
" Well then I don't think it's a good idea for us to be together then." Even if Brittney was the most beautiful woman in the world, he still would not consider marrying her or another woman, as women right now are not his priority.
Brittney couldn't handle what was happening now. Everything felt like a nightmare that was not going to end sooner. " What happened to you? You used to love me and care about me, saying that you would never leave me..."
" And you believed that?..." Daven didn't know how much his words hurting Brittney, he just considered them as casual.
" Word of advice, never believe anything that comes out from a guy's mouth. Especially when you have something he likes that almost any girls has." with that, he looks down at her hinting what it was.
Brittney didn't pay attention to his last sentence and looked at him with wet cheeks.
" I don't believe that you don't love me anymore... you just need time to get your memory back and then you'll see." although her cheeks were in tears, she still showed some confidence saying that.
Seeing her confidence, Daven chuckles in his heart. ' They are always stubborn.'
" And what if I don't remember anything about us? "
Brittney thinks for a moment before responding, " I will still be there."
"What if I fall in love with someone else? "
" Th...then I'll let you go." as she finished her sentence, large amount of tears flowed down thinking about what he said. ' But I don't to lose you! '
From the looks of this girl, Daven knew that she was just saying the words. She would probably never give him up.
" Stop wasting your tears on something that is not worth for them." Daven thought he was comforting her, but didn't know that his words were knives stabbing her heart within mercy.
Brittney could only turn her head away and cry in silent. How is it going to take her for Daven to get his memory back? What will she have to do in the meantime?
Those were the questions that were in her mind right now. How can this ever happen to her with everything she has been through?
" Where... will you go now? " She voice out this sentence still sobbing.
Daven really didn't know where he must go. His original plan at the hospital before he finds out about everything, he was supposed to go back to his family, but now it seems like he can't. Going there now will only be asking for death. All he could do now is hide away from the people that would recognise him as Daven Quinn.
" Err... To be exact, I don't know."
Immediately, her eyes beamed with joy hearing his response. That's the response she was hoping for. " Well you can stay here for a while..." she continues, " After all, it is still your house also."
Daven didn't really care about what her plans were for them, all he wanted was a place to hide away for a while before he could put his revenge on action to his cousin. " Hey, I thought you brought me here for a bite." He rubbed his stomach childishly.
Seeing how cute he was when he did this, Brittney found him abnormal as he only did something that made him look cute quite a few times in their 5 year marriage.
" You can go upstairs and take a shower while I'm preparing something for you." with that being said, she rushed to the kitchen.
Before he leaves the study room, he noticed the picture frame and glanced at it a few times before taking a look at it.
It was a picture of him and Brittney holding hands with beautiful smiles on their faces.
Daven tried to remember the day, but nothing popped up in his mind. He puts it down with a sigh and goes out of the study.
When he starts climbing the stairs, he freezes and goes to the kitchen where Brittney was.
" Uhm... where can I take a shower? "
" just go upstairs, the first door on your left. " Her voice was warm as before, when he met her at the hospital.
He tries to figure out what made him fall in love with her, in disappointment, he could only sigh in frustration.
