Who had she seen just now?

She was sure that she saw Regan Miles, The head of the Cassius Group and a man she somehow felt very familiar with.

She turned around, to see again who the man she had just seen. But she didn't see the two, she didn't see Regan and the man who was with him. Maybe she saw it wrong. But if it is true what she saw was Regan, then it is certain that the owner of The Cassius Group is actually with her at this time, in New York.

Perhaps this information will be of use to her best friend, Gretta. Speaking of Gretta, she hadn't heard from her in the last two months. Normally she would come to her if they had been feuding for more than a week, but this time it had been two months since she had approached or tried to contact her. Only Adrian and Gray she had now. She always cursed himself for being born into the Cartier family, but on the other hand she was also grateful to have an older brother like the two of them. If only her mother and father were still alive, perhaps they would be proud of their children.

Moreover, Abraxas and Giuliana love their children very much. Both of them will look cold and heartless in public, but when they come home, they will turn out to be very gentle. Their deaths still saddened her. Maybe if they didn't bear Cartier's name, they wouldn't have been brutally killed.

Ethan opened the door for her and she walked in. Adrian and Gray smiled when they saw her come in "You are very beautiful, sister"

She smiled widely hearing that "My brothers are also very handsome" she walked over to the two and took them into her arms. "I missed you" she said and sat down in front of Grey.

"We ordered your favourite, pasta?" Adrian said while looking at her gently

Ariel pursed her lips "I want steak" she said sulkily

"We ordered both, because you've been looking skinny lately" Gray looked at her seriously "Did that bastard Cami make you tired?"

"You know, I think we both should immediately intervene on this matter" Adrian said firmly "They are getting wild and ignorant"

"This is my fight, what Cami's family wants is mine" she said seriously "I don't want to be seen as a spoiled and weak little sister"

"We didn't mean it like that, you could be killed"

"I'm serious too, you both can be killed too"

"I was worried when Gray said your drink was sabotaged and you ended up in bed with a stranger?"

It was definitely not a question, Adrian already knew it. But he wanted to hear it directly from Ariel's mouth.

"Yes, and the man asked for something in return—" she hadn't finished explaining but Gray cut her off "Who is that shameless man?"

"Brother, I haven't finished talking" she said coldly "she asked in return by asking me to be friends with him"

Adrian propped up his chin with his hand, he looked thoughtful and Grey, his hands clenched into fists — he was holding back his anger.

Among the three of them, Adrian is the calmest and Gray is the one who is easily provoked. As for her, she was the most unpredictable. Which according to Adrian, is the most dangerous.

"Isn't that suspicious, lil pumpkin?" Adrian asked her "If he really intended to help you that night, he shouldn't have asked for anything in return because it was his choice to help you"

"Maybe he's a man who can't keep his d**k when he sees my beautiful sister" Gray teeth chattered

"fifty-fifty, he wants something that's yours" said Adrian calmly "What's that man's name?"

“Damian Lorcan” she answered quickly

Either his eyesight is slightly impaired or Adrian and Gray do freeze a little in place even for a moment. They act like normal after that.

“The owner of Cielo Pastry?” Gray asked and Adrian nodded in return

"There's something fishy about him, careful" he reminded her

"Let's finish the conversation about it later, we have to enjoy dinner tonight" Adrian ordered when several waitresses came in with the food they ordered.

Adrian ordered some food, snacks and dessert for the three of them. Also a bottle of his favorite wine. They ate quietly and occasionally chatted lightly. It was the family's habit to put aside the chatter about business and company at the dinner table.

Tonight she is very happy. She was able to reunite with her brothers.

She don't remember for how long they haven't eaten together in the morning, afternoon or evening. She left everything to Liam in London, and said she wasn't coming back any time soon. Every now and then Liam would send some documents that she had to sign via email.

Even so, she wasn't as busy as Adrian and Grey. They would leave in the morning and come home just before dinner. They didn’t show their tired faces when in front of her, but she knew very well, they were exhausted.

Her days in NYC are very quiet. She'd been here a week and neither Rory nor Verra had popped their nose. News in the newspapers have reported about her who will stay temporarily in New York, but no steps have been taken by Cami's family.

And she's very grateful for that.

However, just now she was grateful. Suddenly Cami's family — Verra Cami, asked her to meet at a Café located in the heart of the city. She knew very well why she asked her to meet in the public area, she knew very well.
