After seven hours of flight from London, she finally arrived in New York. She arrived at three in the morning, but the airport was quite busy with a lot of people. She tightened her coat as she pulled her suitcase, her eyes searching for someone in the midst of the many people she passed.

Grey promised to pick her up at the airport, but she didn't find him at all. She stopped and took her cell phone out of her bag and immediately looked for Grey's contact.

"Yes, darling?"

"Don't darling me, where are you?" Ariel hissed, annoyed

"Uh, it's three in the morning. I need to sleep, bye” and he hung up. She cursed Grey in silence, if she knew this she wouldn't be in a hurry to go to New York

Someone tapped her shoulder making her startled "Miss Ariel"

He was a man who had blonde hair with green eyes, dressed in all black clothes and a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"Ethan!" she shouted, quite surprised to see him here to pick her up. They rarely saw each other, the last time they met was when they went to a family party.

"Come on, miss and let me carry your suitcase" he said

"No need. Lead the way, Ethan" Ariel pleaded and Ethan immediately walked with her following behind.

She quickly got into Grey's black Audi, leaving Ethan to put her suitcase in the trunk. Her hands clenched into fists, after this she would lash out at his brother for breaking his promise and ordering Ethan to pick her up.

"Sorry to trouble you" Ariel said as Ethan got into the car.

He replied with a small smile "It doesn't matter, it's part of my job, miss"

"What do you mean?" she asked confused

“I was ordered to be with you while you were in New York, Mr. Gryy knows you will come alone without Liam" he said with a sweet smile

She was at the Cartier residence in ten minutes. The state of the mansion is very quiet, there are only a few guards at the front gate who are still awake. The maids were also nowhere to be seen, they were still asleep. Of course because it was still very early. The sun hadn't even appeared yet.

Ariel immediately entered the mansion and ordered Ethan to sleep. She also needed sleep, she didn't sleep on the way to New York. Her body was very tired and needed rest, she immediately lay down and fell asleep. She didn't care that she was still wearing her office clothes.

A knock on her bedroom door made her wake up. "Come in" she said hoarsely

Julie, a middle-aged woman who was also the head maid of the Cartier residence, immediately entered and greeted her. She was very close to her, she always called her a little angel. Sometimes it saddens her, because in reality she is a demon.

"Aren't you hungry, miss?" asked Julie softly

"No" she said quietly and she still closed her eyes, she was so tired

Ariel could hear Julie sigh softly, “But you missed breakfast and lunch. Besides, dinner will be served in two hours, Ariel.”

She was shocked and woke up from her sleep "Did I sleep that long?" she said hysterically

“Yes, you slept for fourteen hours. I'm sure you're very hungry, aren't you?”

“Right, I'm really hungry”

"Then hurry up and take a shower. I will prepare your clothes” and without saying much she went into the bathroom.

She came out of her room an hour later, because after taking a shower she did the work that Liam sent her. Luckily she finished before dinner time. When she got down, she didn't see her two brothers below. She only saw maids passing by

"Do you know where Adrian is?" she asked one of the maids

She seemed to think for a while “Mr. Adrian is always in the library before dinner, miss” and she immediately walked towards the library after thanking her

And sure enough, Adrian was leaning on the sofa, reading a book. "Aren't you tired of reading on?"

Adrian lifted his face from the book and immediately looked at Ariel "come here" he asked and she immediately sat next to her brother.

He put the book on the table and immediately sat facing Ariel, "Are you okay?" his hand stroked Ariel's cheek

"I'm fine, as you can see, brother"

His eyes softened and looked at her intensely “But you're getting thinner, you're pushing yourself too much, aren't you?” he leaned back on the sofa again and rested his chin, but his eyes were still on Ariel

"I do a lot of work, that's why I am who I am." She tries to explain

"Did that family tire you out?" he looked coldly at his sister "they are a big burden on you, I guess"

It's no secret, Adrian hates the Cami family. Especially Verra and Rory. Not only Adrian, Grey and people close to her hate the family.

They're a wicked family.

Sometimes that sadden her too. Since she was no different from that family, she was also very evil. But sometimes she was also a little amused by the nickname given to the Cami family.

"Don't get hurt, sister"

"Why?"

"You are my little sister, the blood that flows in my body is the same as the blood that flows in your body." He explained “If you get hurt, I will destroy Cami's family. I don't care who protects them."

She felt her eyes heat up now, she wanted to cry. She had not cried in a long time, the last time she cried was when her parents were brutally killed. Other than that never.

"You must always remember that before you act rashly, sister" said Adrian and he immediately got up and walked towards the exit.

"I don't want to bother you with all my problems" she said slowly "Being here will make you clean up all the mess I'm about to make"

Adrian stopped walking, he turned his body towards her "You don't bother me at all. Stop talking like you're not my sister" he smiled faintly at her "Come on, let's go to the dining room. Dinner is served now"

With enthusiasm she immediately jumped and hugged her brother's arm "Come on, brother"

He giggled, looking at her warmly "I'm glad we all live together now" he said "just like we used to"
