Peaceful silence during dinner

He took her bags and gave it t one of the bodyguards that came along with him and they headed out, while they were leaving Tiana did not even look behind like how other people do when they leave a place they have been for years, but she did not, she walked out as if she were here to visit someone and that too with her head held high.

While he was in the car, he stole a few glances at her and saw her eyes flicker with emotion, she was happy and who would blame her, she was locked up in that place for years and it was beginning to suffocate her. She was watching the beautiful city of Seattle with its tall building and beautiful lights; she saw the Hamilton company from a far and she realised how much that hospital took away from her. it took her freedom, dreams, happiness, and goals who knows maybe she would have won another businesswoman of the year award and completed her collection of trophies, she would have had a baby boy or girl.

She wished that Adrian was alive so she could make him pay for everything but since he was not here, she would settle for everyone who wronged her and helped her monstrous husband. It was time to pay up her dues and she was more that ready, she had two years to plot the perfect revenge.

When she started having mental break downs, she really thought that maybe she was really going insane, I mean she was overworked and always stressed, and she thought that maybe her body and mental state were shutting down and giving up on her since she never took a break. She became suspicious when she went to the mental asylum and she saw how different her pills were from the other patients, so she stopped taking them and slowly she became sane and realised that it was all a huge conspiracy that was planned to take her down and that was when she plotted her revenge.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Blake who nudged her and when she looked at him, he looked worried, she did not know if he was faking it just like his brother, so she did not trust him at all maybe he was sent to finish her up. She was not going to trust him until she had proof that he was not involved in this entire conspiracy. when Blake saw that she was lost in her thoughts he was curious to know what was going in her head and heart, but they were not friends that she would pour her heart out to him, the girl did not even want to talk to him or look at him and when she did, she spoke in short answers.

He led her to a three-bedroom suite that was now his new home, he moved out of the Simon mansion and to his suite so he could take care of her because he knew that in the Simon mansion his sisters would make life miserable for her, I mean they hated her ever since they met her.But also because Adrian clearly indicated that he must not live with her in their parents mansion.

When the elevator doors opened the entire suite was filled with a delicious aroma of food and Tiana could not control herself, so she ran to the source of the aroma. She found herself in a big, beautiful kitchen but she could not admire its beauty because she needed to find where the aroma was coming from, all she wanted was food. She was too busy looking for the food that she did not notice that there was someone there until she heard a soft chuckle, she was so distracted in her mission that she did not even notice the beautiful old woman who was in the kitchen. Her cheeks changed colour and a small dimple appeared as she smiled nervously embarrassed by her behaviour. “I am sorry, I was so hungry that I didn’t even see you there, hi my name is Tiana” she said holding out her hand to the old woman who then gladly took it.

She was surprised by her behaviour because a lot of women who come to the suite do not even look her way yet alone apologise for not seeing her, it only meant that the young woman was raised well. “hello mam, please don’t apologise, shall I dish up for you?” she asked in the same gentle and respectful manner and her smile reminded Tiana of her mother. Her mother visited her everyday while she was locked up, but then she got into a car accident and has been in a comma since then.

Whoever wanted to harm Tiana went as far as to harm her mother just to prove a point, it was okay if they harmed her, but her mother was off limits.

She realised that she had zoned out because the old woman was looking at her because she has not replied yet “yes mam, and please call me Tiana” she finally replied, “if I can call you Tiana then please call me Maria” … “While you are dishing up for me please do it for Blake and yourself, I do hate eating alone” Tiana said in a soft voice.

When she started eating it was like the whole disappeared and it was only her and the food, she has not had real seasoned food in over two years and Maria’s cooking was the best. She was oblivious to the stares and the smiles that people around her were giving, they were both amused by how she did not mind using her hands while eating.

When Blake saw Tiana running, he thought that she was having another break down, so he ran behind her but when he saw her in the kitchen with Maria he stopped and listened to their little interaction, when she was talking to Maria, she looked normal and looked like she wanted to talk but when she spoke to him, she was always distant and a little aloof. he watched her as she ate a full plate and even asked more, for the first time in his life he enjoyed his dinner and the company. The silence that was there was very peaceful.

After dinner he took her to her new bedroom, it was painted red which was her favourite, she looked around and saw pictures on the wall of herself and family and there were two doors which she assumed was the bathroom and closet. She saw that he put in a lot of effort to make her feel happy and welcome, although she did not trust him, she can at least appreciate his efforts. She then heard Blake say, “there is everything you need in the bathroom and I also had Maria buy you new clothes they in the closet”. She was glad that he bought new clothes because she could not wear the old ones ever again, she wanted nothing to do with all the things from her past.

As he was about to leave the room, she gently held his hand “thank you Blake, for taking such a big responsibility and I am so sorry about your brother. Yes, he was a horrible husband, but he was not a terrible brother, goodnight” she said all that a kissed his cheek, it was more like a small innocent peck, but it made him feel things that he shouldn’t feel for his sister-in-law it also turned his world upside down. He felt this overwhelming lust and desire and deep down he was embarrassed of feeling such things but at the end of the day he was a man. When he got in his room, he decided to take a cold shower to calm his body which was burning up from desire.

As he was in the shower, he realised something, he realised that his life has changed drastically and that the woman whose room is opposite his will awaken his deep darkest desire, so he decided its best he maintains a safe distance from her..but how since the suite is so small, he is bound to see her and he needs to see if she is okay and taking her medication, there was actually no way he was going to ignore her.... When he closed his eyes the last face he saw was hers....
