Aurora's POV
“What are you doing here?” His strong voice repeated from behind me and I could feel my heart beat faster. As I stood still in the water, I wondered why the other girls couldn't notice he was there. They are not weak werewolves. They should have sensed his presence.
This was it, I was going to die before I got any chance to connect to my mate. I closed my eyes preparing for a violent attack from the alpha king, waiting for my doom to come to me.
Suddenly, I felt his palm gently rest on my shoulder, and his chest rest on my upper back.
A shiver went down my spine. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know if I was supposed to turn around or run away as fast as I could.
