"Just so you know, Delinda," I said as I turned to face her, "this will be the last chance at backing out."
She appeared startled but managed to keep her head straight. I have to say that I admired her bravery.
"There's nothing to worry about, Alpha Jason. I'm sure of my words and I'm also sure the test results will return positive," she said just in time for the pack doctor to come back into the office where we were waiting.
He had a smile on his face as he clapped his hands while approaching me with his eyes on mine. It felt weird.
