I woke up with a banging headache and an influx of memories.
"Mommy, is my mommy going to die?" Sapphire cried as she shook my arm.
"Just keep quiet. Can't you see she's sleeping?" Jake scolded his sister, who was brawling uncontrollably.
I had to do something but my eyelids and limbs were the heaviest.
I took a deep breath and tried to push back the memory forcing itself on me. I didn't want it, but I couldn't reject it either. I'd have to confront them sooner rather than later.
