"Baby girl," I whispered softly when I embraced Ruby in my bedroom.
She was quiet and looked sad.
"Sweetheart, did anyone do something to you?" I asked in concern.
"No, mommy left me all alone." She whispered softly.
"I'm sorry, it's just that I went out to talk to your father." I lied.
She looked at me for a long time then lowered her gaze.
"Is that man daddy?" She asked surprising me.
Wait, come to think of it I didn't take time to introduce them ever since I came here. Yes, she might have heard me say something about us, but that didn't mean I had officially introduced them.
"Yes," I answered with a smile.
She faced up then lifted her hand and pressed it on my cheek.
