The Prophecy of Crossed Genes

Chapter 1

Matagal na kaming nagstay dito sa Pilipinas, mula kasi nung nagkamalay ako we're at Spain na and tahimik ang life namin dun. I have no kalaro nor friends kasi ayaw ng mga magulang ko na lumabas ako.

"Babalik ako ng Spain, Iiwan na muna kita dito sa mga tita mo." Mom said habang sinusuklay ako.

Ziavy Antonio, She's my mother, she's only 26 years old and I am 17, she has no partner because she's focusing on me. May business din ang mom ko and I know my mom's secret.

She has a royal blood and her power is Earth, She always trained me since then and we just stopped last week. I am not her biological daughter, and that's too obvious because of our age gap. But the way she take care of me, I feel like I'm from her tummy.

"Isama mo nalang ako Mommy."

"No baby, you're not allowed to go there anymore and some day, you will know why."

I was confused but I don't have a chance to convince her more kasi dumating na ang tatlo kong tita. And my first impression for them isn't that nice. They look so classy, meticulous and bully. I just hope that I'm wrong so that I won't live like Cinderella.

"Iiwan ko siya sa inyo and protect her at all cost." Mommy Said to her sisters.

"Ito ba yung bata na na-" I saw mommy na pinandilatan yung isa sa kapatid niya. "Hi, I'm Luz." She pulled me closer to her and kiss me on my cheek.

"I'm, Vi." the other one acted like she's kissing my cheek but she didn't. "Call me Tita Vi." It looks like she doesn't want me at all.

"I am Minda." I think this one is Kind. And yung naunang dalawa maybe, kaedad ni mommy. And this one, maybe 10 years ahead sa kanila. "They're my younger sister."

After they introduced their selves, umalis na sila sa harap ko and I am here. Naiwan ako sa sofa and they didn't even said that I'm welcome here, I am free to do whatever I want.

So, because they're not entertaining me, mag-iikot na muna ako. This house is like a museum, there's a lot of paintings, but only the arts of four elements caught my attention. I can't help but to touch it.

'unleash your power child...'

I startled when Tita Luz came, she was staring mad at me and I can't say sorry because I did nothing wrong. "I am just wondering inside since I am staying here, it's not bad to familiarize the place right?"

I tried to reason out and tita Minda came that's why tita Luz is acting weird. " 'Di ko kayang pagkatiwalaan ang sampid na 'to ate Minda! Pwede bang palayasin natin to?"

"At sino ka para mag desisyon Luz?" Tita Minda's voice is sweeter than honey that's why we won't know if she's mad or not. It's good to know that she's protecting me from this witch.

"Ate Minda! Hindi naman natin siya pamangkin kaya, it's okay if she's gone." Aaminin ko, masakit marinig but she's right, hindi naman nila ako kaano-ano, I don't know where's my parents, gusto ko silang makita and ask them why they choose to throw me in why they're trying to kill me.

Naglalakad ako ngayon papunta kay Abuelito Dem. I want to talk to him and open up everything to him, my mom just left but I missed her already.

"Anong dahilan at naparito ang dalagang lumaki sa spain na lubos na ipinagpala at umangkin ng napakagandang mukha?" Fin crossed my way and I can't help but to laugh for what he preached.

"Let's go to Abuelito let's listen to his story." I pulled his hand and run through.

"Teka muna, Hindi mo ba alam na wala na si Lolo Demetrius dito?" I was froze for what I've heard.

"Gaga! Baka iba iniisip mo." I sighed for relief. "Umalis na siya sa lugar natin at hindi alam ng lahat kung saan siya pumunta." I can feel the sadness of Fin, ako rin naman, malungkot kasi hindi ko na matatanong si Lolo Dem about sa story. I really wanna know why my mom have that power and who else of her sister have it.

"Don't be sad Fin, Abuelito are just having time to cool down his memories. Or he's having a vacation." He was leaning on my shoulder now and I am playing his nape.l

"Mali ka, nawala na parang bula ang bahay niya, at may ibang hindi na nakakaalala kay lolo Dem." Dahil sa gulat, I accidentally pushed him. "Aray naman Tavi! Ang harsh mo sa'kin ha!"

"Sorry, hindi ko naman kasi nadasya na mapush kita" I helped him up and we chuckled together.

"Anong 'nadasya'?"

"Unintentional."

"Gaga! Sinadya hindi nadasya."

I faced palmed. I've been working hard to speak in tagalog without stammering but I always found myself doing it again and again.

It's been four hours since I left at home, and they didn't even bothered to contact me if I am safe or not. Maybe, uuwi muna ako doon.

"Fin, bye for now, uuwi na ako baka kasi they're looking for me na eh."

"Yan ba yung mga tita mo na demonyeta? Aasaka na hahanapin ka nila?" I was hurt for what Fin Said. He's right. They don't care If I got raped here and even mamatay man ako, they don't care.

"They're looking for me or not. uuwi ako kasi mom left me in that house and she will get me back in that house also." After I said goodbye to Fin, we separated our ways.

I am just walking in this road like no body see me, I am just nobody. I've been staying here for 7 years, umuwi kami ni Mom here when I was 10 years old. I don't know why mom look uneasy last week pero I choose to think na it's the company kaya kailangan niyang umuwi sa Spain.

"Tita Vi, can you open the gate for me please?" I saw tita Vi glares at me.

I am waiting here for 15 minutes but still, there's no Tita Vi, If I shout here our neighbors in this subdivision would be mad and they will complain for this scandalous scene. I will wait for tita Minda, bakit kasi Wala akong number nila?

Umupo ako sa cement and lie my back on the wall of the ironed gate and wait for my rescue.

'Why they're too harsh at me? If they can't accept me as a their niece, can't they even respect me as a human?'

I lost my consciousness and the last thing I knew, I'm at my room already.

"Tavi, bumaba kana, kakain na tayo." I heard Tita Minda outside my room. Maybe she's the one who rescue me outside. So, I prepared myself para sumama sa kanila mag-agahan.

Pababa na ako ng hagdan, I heard them laughing together. "Halika na dito Tavi." I smiled at tita Minda.

"Good morning po."

Nagulat ako na tumayo sina Tita Vi and Tita Luz. "Busog na ako."

"Me too"

I can feel that my face is now blushing because of shame. Is it because of me? Kung ako lang naman ang reason why they don't want to eat with Tita Minda. Tatayo na sana ako from my seat but tita pulled me down kaya napabalik ako sa pag-upo.

"Hayaan mo na sila, kumain kana." Tita Minda's voice sound so sweet.

I am a fan of art that's why, lumapit ako ulit sa painting na may image ng Fire, Water, Earth and Air. They look so beautiful kaya hinawakan ko and I can feel the grief touching it. The last time I touched this, I heard a weird voice in my thoughts and this time, I can feel the sorrow that is hiding from this painting.

I'm about to touch it again but Tita Luz came. "Ano ba! Napakapaki-alamira mo talaga ng gamit." She pushed me and thankfully, tita Minda's there to catch me. Beside me, hagdan na pababa. That was close! "Huwag mong galawin ang mga gamit sa bahay!"

Tita Minda is no match compare sa kanilang dalawa, they're so evil! And thankfully, they respect her because if they don't, that'll be hell. They respect tita Minda because elder sister nila siya. They just hate me that's why they're so cruel.

After breakfast, bumalik ako sa room ko to clean myself, Naligo ako and nag toothbrush. I already done bihis na rin with my OOTD (OUTFIT OF THE DAY). Naka mint green dress ako and white doll shoes. I put some light make up to look fresh.

"Saan ka pupunta?" I heard tita Vi, was it me she's asking with?

Nilingon ko siya to confirm if it's me or not. "Lababas lang po with Fin." I answered the moment I confirmed that It was me she's asking with.

'I hope I'm right with my tagalog this time.'

She walked out without saying even a word.

'weirdu'

I'm about to go out when I saw tita Minda. Magpapaalam nalang ako sa kanya to make her inform na wala ako dito sa bahay. I know that she care and she must know where I'm going at sino ang kasama ko.

"Tita Minda, I just wanna go out with Fin to breathe some fresh air."

"Okay, don't be late. 8 pm you must be here." Tita Minda is really good in English, they're so lucky because they grew up here and I grew up at Spain.

"Copy po tita."

God is good talaga because he didn't let me have a guardian that will bully me. It's just tita Luz and Vi but tita Minda is too kind on me.

I don't know if Tita Luz and Vi's minds and traits can be changed someday. I can't live with haters and I don't want to hate them too. They're my mother's sister and mom is not just the one to acts like my mother but she's really my mother inside my heart. I don't want to treat her sister like nobody and stranger. I love those people whom she loved.

"Huy Gaga! Nakatulala ka dyan na nakaharap sa unggoy. Ano? Gusto mo makipagpalit ng mukha sa kanya?" I was wonder-stricken as he tap my back. "Sabihin mo nalang kasi sa'kin nalang mukha mo, then mukha ko ang ibibigay sa unggoy."

"You're so sira talaga." We both laugh.

I can sense some weird looks at us and I think they're judging us like we're doing something bad here. We didn't a while ago but Fin is too delinquent and he's trying to rub some wallet or phone at pass it to me.

It's the tenth person that he's targeting now, this guys looks like something. He looks so serious and I think we'll be in trouble that's why I mouthed him to stop but unlucky, he didn't listen for my warning.

"F*ck!" The guy said as Fin grabs his phone and fin runaway and passed it to me. I stilled as fin hand it. I am thinking if I'll run he'll go after me and If I give it back to him. He'll catch me and bring me to the police.

I don't know but, I suddenly lost, I don't know where I am. Everything is gone, Fin is gone, it's only the guy and me. He was staring at me, I can only see his blue eyes because he's wearing his face mask.

' why my heart isn't functioning? Why everything now went slow? Why?'

I can see him walking and there are two spotlights that focused on him, and focused on me. As he gets closer, I can heard his heartbeat.

'Is it his heartbeat or mine?'

I saw him stilled for a while and that's my chance to go out from his trapped but I am too late.

"H-hi, It w-was given by..." I tried to convinced him for me not to be harmed. How can Fin leave me like this?

"Tavi!" I heard Fin's voice from a far and someone covered my eyes and everything went black.
