Drunken Mistakes III

Elliot  I try my best to avoid Devin for the weekend. I hang out with Ashley, so I didn’t have to be over there at all. We watched movies, sang karaoke, ate pizza and got drunk. Ashley called me an Uber when I insisted on going home.  I trip on my way into my apartment and big strong hands catch me. “Where have you been?” Devin asks as I lean against him.  “Me, just had a great time with a friend,” I slur out trying to make him a little jealous but the sentence ends with a hiccup, so I end up giggling instead.  “Are you drunk?”  I giggle some more. All my words are glued together and I know I sound drunk.
