Chapter 7

(A/N: Ninang is a Tagalog word for godmother and for Godfather it’s Ninong.)

"Pretty Ninang! Pretty Ninang!" Elena and Elliot shouted as they both run towards my direction.

I’m in Damien’s house right now in Tagaytay. When I went this morning at Aria’s uncle’s house. Her Aunt Mandy told me that Aria and the twins are right here in Tagaytay right now. Thankfully, she gave me the address and Mr. Gorio drives me here. Mira is not with me right now.

I just arrived a moment ago. I didn’t get the chance to surprise them because my arrival is already on social media. But I’m still thankful for Nathaniel’s help at the airport. I successfully avoided the reporters because of his help.

The twins pull me inside their mansion. My mouth parted when I saw how extravagant the interior is. I’m sure it cost a lot of fortune.

"I miss you babies," I said to the twins and start kissing them on their heads. I didn’t even look at my best friend. My full attention was on the twins who were hugging me.

Elena lifts up her head. “Kuya Elliot and I miss you too Ninang. You’re still so pretty Ninang like me,” she said.

Aria chuckled. “Elena, you’re tricking your Ninang again. I know you just excited about her souvenirs for you.” She said teasing Elena.

Elena pouted and look at me again. "Did you bring something for me Ninang? Do you remember the doll that I told you when we talk last time… the baby alive in the baby forest? Did you have it?” Elena said with full of expectations in her eyes. She was smiling widely…  suddenly I have an urge to pinch her chubby cheek.

I sigh and comb her hair using my fingers. “Of course, I have it with me, baby girl. You know that Ninang will never forget you want” I said and handed the things I bought for her.

The little girl jumps in glee as she took the box of the doll. She runs to her mom. “Mommy look. It’s so pretty.” She turned to me. “Thank you, Ninang.” She giggled and walk towards me again… and hug me.

I tap her head. "You're welcome, baby." I smile and turned my gaze to her brother. Elliot was looking at me too. I waved my hand to him, signaling him to come closer to me. “Come to Ninang, Elliot. I also got the RC Drone that you want.”

His eyes widen and immediately run towards me. He smiled widely when I handed him his new toy.

“Thank you Ninang…” he looks at me. “how did you know that I want this drone?”

I smirked. “Ninang loves you that’s why I know what you want,” I said. But the truth is Aria told me what Elliot wants.

The twins excused themselves to go to their rooms to play their new toys.

"Best how about me? Where’s mine?" Aria asked out of nowhere. 

I looked at her in disbelief.  "Really Aria? You want to have a souvenir too. We just saw each other three months ago in New York.

She pouted. “Meanie!”

I rolled my eyes and took a mini eco-bag inside my bag. I give it to her. “Here! This for you and stop pouting your lips… your fiancé is not here so no one will kiss you.”

She frowned when she took the eco-bag in my hand. But her eyes when she opened it. She’s smiling widely when she looks at me again. Of course, she’ll be happy to see what’s inside it… it’s her favorite.

“This is the choco—”

I cut her off. "Yes, it’s the chocolate from Paris. The one you go gaga, that I need to buy for you every time I fly there for Paris fashion week.”

Arianna clapped her hands in joy. It looks like she’s in so much happiness while she starts eating chocolates.

The time passed quickly as I hang out with Aria. When it’s almost six in the evening, she starts to prepare dinner for family… I help her in the kitchen. I miss cooking with her. I met Nana Kris who took care of Damien since childhood and now helping Aria on taking care of the twins.  

“I’m sorry if we’re too loud Nana Kris.” I apologized because Aria and I talking too loudly.

 Nana Kris shook her head and smiled. “It’s okay… I understand that you both missed each other.”

I was about to say something when Elliot appeared. He looks at Aria. “Mom, Dad is already here.” He said and run outside of the kitchen.

Aria’s eyes widened in happiness to what her son said. I shook my head as I look at her quickly step out of the kitchen. She looks so excited that her fiancé arrived… She’s so in love. I followed her outside.

I immediately saw the twins with Damien. Aria is walking closer to him.

"Hey, hon!" Damien said and kiss my friend.

I noticed that there’s a man behind Damien. My mouth fell apart when I realize who is it.

Fuck! You have to kidding me. The jerk is also here.

"Hi, Yna! It’s good to see you again." Damien greeted me.

I smiled. "It’s good to see you too, Damien."

Aria starts talking to Nathaniel but he didn’t bother to look at my best friend. He’s just staring at me… his gaze is so intense. It’s making my heart beat insanely fast. I blinked twice when I heard Damien is calling Nathaniel.

I cleared my throat.

"Bro, my fiancé is asking you," Damien said to Nathaniel.

Nathaniel turned his gaze to aria. "I'm sorry Arianna. What is it again?" He asked.

I looked at Aria and she smirked at me before looking at Nathaniel. “I just wanted to know if you’re going to join us for dinner? Oh, before I forget Yna helps me cooked and she also made her special recipe.”

My eyes widen and my mouth fell apart. I can’t believe her.

"Of course. It would be my pleasure to taste Georgina’s cooking again." Nathaniel said that makes my heart pound even faster. I don’t know what is going on with me. It was mixed emotion that I can’t be named or maybe I knew it, I just don’t want to recognize it. 

I can feel my cheeks flared. I know I'm red as a tomato right now. I looked away so he can’t see me red as a tomato but I was welcome by my best friend’s smirking smile. It looks like she’s having a good time seeing me like this. I hate her right now.

I hope I can disappear in front of them right now. I don’t know what to do.

But I sighed in relief when Nana Kris appeared. “The food is ready. Let’s go to the dining area.” She said. I immediately followed Nana Kris.

They seated on the chair. I decided to sit beside Elliot but Nathaniel grabbed my arm and pull me to the seat beside him. I don’t want to cause a scene in front of the twins so I just let it go. But deep inside me, I want to smack Nathaniel on his head.

I lift my hand to reach for the rice but Nathaniel took it first… I was surprised when he put rice on my plate.

“You don’t need to do that. I can do it by myself.” I said. I tried not to sound mad. But he pretends that he didn’t hear me and continue putting foods on my plate. I noticed that the food is a little bit too much for me so I try to stop him. “I think it’s enough.”

He stops and turned his gaze at me. "No. You need to eat more… You’re so thin!” he paused and his brows met. “You know what, you should stop modeling it’s not good for your health.”

My mouth fell open in shock. I can’t believe it. “Why don’t you mind your own business Nathaniel and I believe that there’s nothing wrong with my body. I’m perfectly fit. And actually, one more thing, there’s nothing wrong working as a model… it’s a decent job.” He’s really annoying me.

His jaw clenched. "Yeah, maybe it’s a decent job for you. But until when are you going to do that work. Are you planning to be a model for the rest of your life?”

I shook my head. “Of course not. Actually, I'm planning to retired after my contract ended." I look at my best friend. "Even aria knows about it," I added.

Aria nods her head as a confirmation of what I said.

Nathaniel sighed. "Good!" 

I rolled my eyes. I don’t why he’s meddling with my life. Why is he showing interest and concern in my life? We’ll I don’t even have a plan to know why. I just want to stay away from him.
