Georgina
I left Nathaniel’s condo the day after the night of my encounter at Nathaniel. I left his spare keys and a note saying my thanks, I still want to thank him even what happened that night. Even without breakfast I still left his condo.
After getting out of the elevator, I walked to the lobby. An older man came up to me. I was confused when I notice that his face was so familiar.
"Miss Yna!" he called me.
My eyebrows knotted. I tried to remember when did I met him.
The old man tilted his head. I think he notices that I don’t recognize him. "It looks like you don’t remember me Miss Yna! I’m Gorio, Sir Nathaniel’s family driver.” He smiles while introducing himself.
My eyes widen when realization drowned inside my head. I smile at him.
“Mr. Gorio! Oh my, how are you? I’m sorry if I didn’t recognize, maybe because you look younger now than before." I tease.
He chuckled and shook his head. "You still haven’t changed Miss Yna. You still really know how to flatter other people."
I laughed a little. "By the way, I’m just curious. What are you doing here, Mr. Gorio?" I asked.
"Sir Nathaniel send me here. He told to drive you to a hotel.”
Oh! I smile upon hearing it. I don’t Nathaniel will do this. How thoughtful of him.
"Ah! I didn’t expect this. Thanks, Mr. Gorio but I think can take a cab, I don’t want to bother you."
“Don’t think that way. You will never be a bother to me." He took my suitcase from my hand. "Come on Miss Yna!" he added.
I sighed. “If you insist. It would a less hassle to my part.” I laugh and follow him on the way out of the lobby.
While on the trip, Mr. Gorio and I talk about the past. If we’re not talking, I always look outside of the car window. My forehead knotted when we pass a couple of Hotels.
"Mr. Gorio?” I called him and I pointed out that building we just passed. "Isn’t a hotel?” I ask.
He nodded. "Ah! Yes.”
"Why didn’t stop there? I’m going to a hotel, right." I laugh.
He laughed too. "Don’t worry Miss Yna, Sir Nathaniel already booked a hotel reservation for you. It’s a good Hotel, actually, it was own by his friend, Sir Nick. You knew him, right?” he asks while looking at by the rear mirror.
I nodded. "Yes, I knew him." Nick, Nick Imperial was my former schoolmate in high school. One of Nathaniel’s best friends.
"Sir Nathaniel settled everything you will ever need. And he also orders me to drive you to your friend’s house today."
I swallowed. It was too much but it will be convenient on my part. "Oh, my. Thank you, Mr. Gorio, and also send my thanks to Nathaniel. I don’t really want to be a bother but it will help me a lot for today."
He laughs again. "Don’t think too much about. It’s okay, I’m just doing my job and that’s taking orders from Sir Nathaniel. Oh, that reminds me. Since when did you get back together?”
My eyes widen from what I heard. It made my heart beat fast.
"what? No! We didn’t get back together. That’s false news." I defended.
He just laughed and tease me while he was driving until we arrive in front of the hotel.
As per Mr. Gorio says, Nathaniel really took care of everything. From the moment I arrive at the Hotel. There’s already a crew waiting for me.
They lead me to the front desk and they handed me a key card. I handed my credit card but they didn’t take it and told me that it was already paid for three months' stay.
I just put my hand in the head when I heard it. I’m really going to get bury by debt to Nathaniel because of this. He really wants me to owe him something.
While walking to the elevator, two teenage girls recognize me. They ask for an autograph and a picture. And by that, the people around me start coming to me. But when a group of boys is going to ask a photo with a woman wearing an Armani suit stop them.
She faced me. "Sorry ma'am but Sir Nathaniel’s order no man will get close to you except Mr. Gorio. " She said. "Let’s go inside the elevator ma’am." She added as she pushes me inside the elevator.
What the f**k is wrong with Nathaniel? What is the meaning of this? And who’s this woman?
I try to stop myself from asking, I’m just going say it when I’m inside of my suite.
When we get inside of the suite and also the hotel crew leave. I face the woman.
“Who are you? And why are you here?”
She stands straight before answering me. “I’m sorry ma’am for doing what I did a while ago. I’m just doing my job as your bodyguard. And before I forget my name is−”
I cut her off. "Can you please call Nathaniel. I need to talk to him immediately." I asked her. I ‘m sure she can do it. it’s her boss after all.
The woman nodded as she tucks her hand inside her pocket and pulls out a phone. I watch her when she pressed something in it, after a second, she starts to talk.
“Sir, Miss Georgina wants to talk to you.” And she handed me the phone.
“Hello!” I speak.
"Hello Georgina," he said. Damn his voice does damn hot.
Focus. Yna! You're mad at him.
"Why do you send me a bodyguard Nathaniel?" I try my voice to the firm.
"Because you don’t have one. You told me yesterday that you left them in New York."
What the F! I'm trying to calm down because there is someone in front of me but it’s really hard to hide it.
"I don’t need bodyguard Nathaniel. I left mine in New York so I can go like a normal person."
He snorts. "I don't care if you don’t need it. The bodyguard's stays! Can you at least listen to me just once? It’s for your own good. It’s for your own safety" Irritation is evident in his voice.
"For my safety? Then why she was shooing the group of men who want to have a photo with me? Was that really for my safety?" I retorted back.
I almost jump in surprise when I hear a loud crash on the other line. "What's that noise, Nathaniel?"
"How many?" He asked out of nowhere.
"What? Are you still talking to me?"
"No, I’m talking to myself.” He sarcastically answers me. "Now answer me." He added.
My jaw clenched. "Stupid! You really are a jerk, Nathaniel!” I shouted and ended the call. I handed back the phone to the woman in front of me. It’s too late for me to notice that she’s still in front of me.
I smile sheepishly. "Thank you, Miss... Uhm! What’s your name?"
She smiles at me. "Miracle but you can call me Mira, Ma’am."
Woah she's very pretty.
"Nice to meet you Mira and please cut the ma’am. I think we’re at the same age, Yna will do..." I look at her from head to toe. "You're too pretty to be a bodyguard. You look like a model to me." she’s not just beautiful, she also has a great height.
Her cheeks blushed. "Thank you, Yna. I may look gentle and mild but yes, I'm your bodyguard and I swear I can protect you. I'm Sergeant Major Miracle Clarisse Ortega mam from the special task force."
There’s pride in her voice.
I was about to say speak again when her phone rings and I immediately saw Nathaniel’s name flashing.
I excuse myself and turned around. I heard Mira answer the call as I enter the bedroom of the suites.
