Porridge

I threw the door open and Zeus was standing and facing his back at me while looking around the neighborhood. "What in the cat's d**k are you doing he—" I cut myself when I coughed. "Cats are not d**k, they're pussy." He said and welcomed himself inside the house. I just glared at him and he looked around the house as I coughed again. "Why are you here?" I asked and I glanced at the wall clock. It was five, forty-ish in the afternoon. Zeus didn't answered and I didn't bothered to expect so I walked back to the couch and laid down when I suddenly felt dizzy. I didn't care what he would going to do there as log as I could rest. "I heard from Mr. Lander." He said. "Stalker." I muttered, not sure if he heard me though. "No. He called to his supervisor and I know everything that's happening in the company." He explained and I rolled my eyes without opening them. "You're not helping. Just seeing your face worsened my headache." I said and coughed. "You know you should drink water every after you cough." He said and I frowned as I opened my eyes and Zeus placed a bag of I don't know and he remained standing. "When did you care?" I muttered and rolled on my side, facing the back rest of the couch. "If you're looking for your coffee, I gave it to someone already." I said. "Okay." He said and I sighed and closed my eyes again. I didn't noticed I fell asleep and I woke up when someone shook my shoulder. "Cameron." I heard Steve's voice and I groaned as I tried to stand up. I coughed. It was strange because it felt like Zeus had been there but the bag he brought with him and placed on the table was gone. Am I hallucinating? "Did you take your meds?" Steve asked as he placed his coat on the backrest of the couch. "I forgot the third one." I said and walked slowly to the kitchen where Steve was heading. "Were you sleeping the whole time?" "I guess." "Did you made this?" He asked and I frowned. There was a pot in the table and Steve lifted the cover making steam escaped from the pot. "What is that?" I sat on the end of the table. "Porridge and there's a bag of medicine also left in the table. Your friend visit you?" I gave him a confused look and then I remembered Zeus. "No way." I said and Steve frowned as he tasted the porridge. It wasn't a dream or a hallucination! Zeus really did came! "What no way?" "Nothing." "It's good." He said after tasting the porridge and grabbed a plate and poured some of it. Just seeing it made me want to puke. I had been eating it for the whole day and I didn't think I could stomach it that time. "Was your visitor a lady?" He asked as he placed the plate in front of me and I wrinkled my forehead. "Why?" I picked the spoon and stirred it gently. "You should ask her out." He said and if I was eating I would certainly spew everything out from my mouth. "The porridge was tasty." "Ew." I said muttered and ate the porridge Zeus cooked. I was surprised that it tasted good compared with Steve's porridge. Well, it was way so much better that Steve's and I suddenly felt hungry. "Good, right?" Steve said as he made his own dinner. "It's tolerable." I said and Steve chuckled. ** My temperature dropped down the next morning but I still had the cough. I went to school with a mask on my mouth because I couldn't stop coughing and I didn't cared when my friends teased me about it. I went to Zeus' office still wearing the mask and he looked at me when I went inside his office which was unusual because he never pays attention to me. "Still not over with the cough?" He said and I rolled my eyes and coughed. Fvcking cough! And I won't be suffering this if it weren't for him! "None of your business." I said and threw my bag in the couch. "Should I get you coffee?" "No. I want you to type something." He said and I felt relieve because I didn't have to run or carry bond papers back and forth. I walked to his desk and took the paper he handed me and his computer. I did my job on the couch and I was trying to not to cough so loud but I couldn't control it. I was halfway with my job and my cough just wouldn't stop. Zeus suddenly stood. "Do you need something?" He asked making me raise my head and looked at him with a confused look. "Water? Or do you want me to cook you another porridge?" I frowned and glared at him but deep inside I felt so embarrassed. I was thinking that it wasn't Zeus who made the porridge yesterday, maybe it was Ron or any of my friends and maybe I didn't noticed them coming in yesterday and cooked me that porridge because I couldn't imagine Zeus doing something like that. But I was wrong. "I prefer water." I said and looked back to the computer screen. ** ** ** ** **
