MEETING HER, ACCIDENTALLY

1305 Words
The sun was already shining in the baby blue sky with clouds moving with the wind above. Birds are singing their favorite song and so does Abria, while taking a bath in the bathroom. The speakers are full of volume and she mimics the lyrics with her delicate lips. Elijah knocked softly on the door first but when she didn't respond, he banged loudly, "Abria! You will be late for your college. Get out now or I will turn the temperature." "What the hell?" Abria thought to herself. "Coming…" she shouts and drape a bathrobe around her body. She chooses to dress simple today so denim jeans and a plain black top will be great. She combs her long hair and puts it in a ponytail. After checking everything, she carries her backpack and descends the stairs. Elijah was putting breakfast on the table and smiled cheerfully at her. "Someone is going to put an accurate impression, hun?" He raised his brows at her. "Seriously, dad? It's a plain boring black shirt and my regular denim. There is nothing new to impress someone." Abria huffs and stuffs the omelette in her mouth. "You are so charming that it doesn't matter what you wear, you stand out from the ordinary." Elijah compliments and takes out his stuff. "I have an early shift today, there will be a lot of work. I might get late so I locked the doors and.." Elijah was cut by Abria. "Windows, so no one can attempt to kidnap me."  "I am talking about security, don't you know how much the crime rate has increased?" Elijah widens his eyes and hugs his daughter, "I always worry for you." "Dad, i am no longer a kid now, more i know kung fu so i will hitfu anyone who will try to messfu with me." She winked at her father and Elijah crackled hard. "You will never change. Let's go, I will drop you."  Abria takes the passenger side and Elijah drives her to the University of British Columbia. "Here is the destination of your dreams. Go and make your father proud."  "Thanks, dad." Abria blush. "Daddy loves you." "Love you too." Elijah drives to his office on the seaport. There is a heavy rush on the docks and it drives his interest there. "What's happening there? Why so much rush?" Elijah yelled at his workers. "Mr. Collins! Good morning, these are a few bags and luggage we have to transport to the other side." One of the workers stated. "Then why hasn't anyone transported them yet? Do you all need an invitation or special requests are to be made, then only your men will work? Hurry, and clear this place." Suddenly, Elijah's phone rings and he picks it and gets busy with the client on the call. A red headed woman approached the worker and stated, "sorry for the inconvenience but these are our bags. Someone mixed them up."  The worker returned the bag and indulged in his daily task. After a few minutes later, Elijah asked the worker if he had transported the luggage and the worker explained everything to him. This infuriates Elijah and he shouts at him, "are you out of your mind? How can you let go of your things without proper inspection? What if those people lied?"  "But that lady said it was her luggage so I returned it to her." The worker stammered. Elijah fumes in anger, "if something happens then you will be responsible."  Elijah left in anger and the poor worker felt embarrassed. Daphne and the young Princes drive to the famous college, The university of British Columbia. Daphne sighes and rubs her forehead while checking the papers. “So, this is your college and today is your first day! Congratulations!!” She tries to cheer up two Princes. Both of them grunt lowly, “why today? They could have waited for a day for us.” Igor commented. Daphne pressed her lips in a flat line and ordered, “both of you, remember this carefully that you are not Princes in this land. Your identity should remain hidden as long as you will stay here. And according to the rules, you have to attend the first day of your college. Education is important.” She exits the vehicle and drags both boys to the primary entrance. After filling up the forms, she looked for the administration block. The university was huge and one can easily get lost there without a map. It was difficult for her to walk gracefully in heels but most of the mothers were there in heels and she hated them too much. “Wait here! I will meet the Dean personally so both of you can attend the first lecture.” She commanded them and went further inside the university. She kept turning blocks and blocks and bumped into someone. “Oh! I am so sorry! It was my fault.” a young girl apologized to her and she helped Daphne to stand. “I am really sorry, I was in a rush.” the girl apologized again. “It’s okay! I was in a rush too.” Daphne stated but got her tongue tied when she saw the girl standing in front of her eyes. She couldn’t help but gasp which made the girl frown at her. Her long brown hair and ocean green eyes are the centre of attraction. “How could this be possible?” Daphne whispered to herself. “I am sorry, can you please give me a side, i have a lecture to attend.” the girl asked politely. “Yeah! Sure, but can you tell me the way to the admin block?” she asked the girl. “Yes! Go straight first to blocks and turn right.” Abria smiled at the woman. “Thank you!” Daphne smiled slightly but what amazed her was the looks. She resembles so much to his dead brother. She shook her head and ran to the admin block. She filled the necessary details and made the boys attend the first class. It was just an introductory class and later the books will be issued. Abria was in line and completed the student survey. She took her books and packed them in her backpack. Her eyes noticed someone, he was charming with ash blonde hair and electric blue eyes. He was no ordinary guy, there was something about him that drove every girl in the campus crazy. He was lost in his own world while watching the decor and the plants carefully. Abria smiled while looking at him. “He is a new guy here and he is so cute!” Elle, Abria’s friend commented. “I was just wondering who he is?”  “Do you have a crush on him?” she teases her. “No! But there is something about him that i can’t explain.” Abria scrunched her brows and left the college with her friend. Daphne noticed her leaving and she wanted to follow her but she has something else to do. “Did you collect the books?” Daphne asked. “We have to collect? I thought they would hand them to us.” Dwyn frowned. “You.. !! both of you, go, get in line and grab your stuff.” she hissed angrily at them and the boys immediately followed the order. “Pissing her off will create issues with us.” Igor winked at his brother. Daphne watches them but her mind is distracted since she spotted the girl that looked so familiar. She wanted to talk to her, but this is not the right time. Abria went home and locked the doors like her father instructed her. She had her dinner alone because some nights, her father worked till late. She packed her bag for the next day and went to sleep. Daphne parked the car and entered the villa, they rented for boys. Zohar welcomed them and presented with the delicious food on the table. “I know you guys must be hungry. Go and freshen up quickly.” he smiled and his eyes noticed a troubled Daphne. “Hey! Is everything okay?” he was concerned. “Yeah!” Daphne smiled. “It doesn’t look like that! You never get troubled easily. Tell me.” he insisted. “I saw a girl today and she reminded me of Elijah!” her eyes were shining from the water collected in her lower eyelids.
