LIANNA

Next morning, I wake up feeling refresh, do my morning routine at bumaba sa kusina para kumain. It’s still 7 in the morning kaya may time pa ako. I saw Mama and Nanay Menda preparing the table.

"Good morning ladies!" Sabay halik sa pisngi ng dalawa.

"Good morning din 'nak." Bati nina Mama at Nanay Menda.

"Halika na anak. Kain na tayo."

"Wow Ma mga paborito ko talaga ang nakahain dito ah." Naglalaway talaga ako. Paano nasa harap ko ang paborito kong ginisang bagoong na hipon na may halong maraming maliit na karne ng baboy. Yum yum! Ripe mango, garlic fried rice with sunny side up egg at tocino. Oh 'di ba ang sarap ng breakfast ko. Plus, umuusok na creamy delicious aroma ng 3in1 coffee. Saan ka pa?!

"Pang-good luck breakfast namin 'yan para sa'yo anak ng ganahan ka mamaya sa pagsagot."

"Thanks Nanay kaya love ko kayong dalawa eh. So let’s eat na po tayo."

"Nga pala bakit hindi pa umuuwi si kuya?" Hindi ko maiwasang itanong. It’s been a week na kasing wala sya dito sa bahay.

"He's in undercover misson kaya hindi s'ya makauwi. He called me last night na kapag may free time lang s'ya makakabisita dito. Sa condo n'ya sya magsi-stay." Mama answered. I don’t ask any more detail. Kuya stay in his condo kapag may assignment sya.

"Did you tell him po na nag-aapply ako sa RdA Island?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

"No baby but I’ll tell him to be here tonight. Dito n'yo na pag-usapan 'yan."

"Paano kung hindi n'ya po ako payagan Ma?" I'm worried but I already made up my mind. Kapag matanggap ako I'll stand with my decision.

"Just let your brother know your side and you're old enough to make your own decisions. Like I always said sa inyong dalawa... alam n'yo na kung anu ang tama at mali. Ang sa'kin lang maging maingat kayo. I let you spread your wings anak and use what you studied. Kung ang magtrabaho sa isla ang gusto mo talaga... I will support you kahit it's sad that you'll be far from us."

I got up my chair and go to Mama's place and hug her from behind. I'm so blessed to have a mother like her. I look to Nanay Menda... she smile at me lovingly na lalong nagpalakas ng loob ko.

"Thank you Ma. I really want this job. I hope kuya will understand that."

"He will baby. Just do your best today. And talk to him tonight. Kaya kumain na tayo ng makaghanda ka na sa pag-alis. Maagang drama ang ginawa natin eh." We laugh. I kiss her cheek first then back to my chair.

"Sabagay baka matraffic ako."

Pagkatapos kong kumain umakyat agad ako sa aking kwarto para gumayak na. Refresh myself again in the bathroom and wear the dress I chose for this interview.

I'm wearing black pencil cut skirt knee length, white silk sleeveless blouse with round neckline na pinatungan ko ng katernong blazer ng skirt. Simple white gold stud earings with it's pair necklace. I put a very light make up just to lighten my face and light pink lipstick. I only put small hairpin in my shoulder length black straight hair. Satisfied and ready to go. Simple yet elegant... that's what I see myself in the mirror.

I seldom show off some skin dahil nagagalit si kuya kaya lahat ng mga damit ko semi-conservative type. Not that I don’t like it... actually I'm comfortable on it kaysa sa mga sexy na damit. I check everything I need and I'm good to go. I take a deep breath and pray.

"God help me through this. Guide me please. This is my dream job, help me to make it come true. Thank you."

Then I took a last look in the mirror and smile.

"May the odds be in your favor." Sound Hunger Games line to me. I giggle to myself.

Pagkababa ko, my Mom and Nanay Menda are waiting for me in the doorway. Leading me out where the taxi was waiting for me. They both said good luck to me. I kiss them goodbye at sumakay na ako sa taxi.

Late na ako makarating sa G.E building sa sobrang traffic. The receptionist immediately tells me the CEO's office. I hurriedly enter elevator and press the top floor. I feel embarrassed for being late. I'm nervous. Sa elevator pa lang my heartbeats increase faster than usual. When I reach the top floor nakita ko agad si kuya Greg na nakaabang sa elevator with his worried expression.

"H-hi kuya. Pasensya na traffic kasi." Nahihiya kong sabi.

"Kaya ka pala late Lianna. Buti na lang 'di pa tapos ang pang-apat na applicant." Mukhang nakahinga ito ng maluwag.

"Buti na lang pala ng hindi halata na late ako." I joked. Natawa naman sya.

"Halika na nga." I study the place.

There's only 3 rooms divided with glass wall, it’s more mirror type but I'm sure makikita kami sa loob. Waiting area agad pagkalabas mo sa elevetor. We are heading to the middle glass door. Ang ganda ng work place. Another door agad ang nakikita ko. A CEO office, both side nito ay may nice size cubicles for his Personal Assistant and Secretary.

The rest, for visitor area. I see a mini kitchen in the left corner and the bathroom. This place speaks money and elegance. Very peaceful to work here.

"Lianna this is Lionel, Mr. Gonzalez Secretary." Narinig ko na lang na sabi ni kuya Greg.

"Lionel this is Lianna the 5th applicant and my sister's bestfriend."

"Nice meeting you Lianna. I read your files and it was impressive. Greg was right about you, beauty and brain." He wink and offer his hand for shake hands. Namula ako sa sinabi nya. I smiled.

"Nice meeting you too and thank you for the compliment. " He's handsome like kuya Greg. Kinilig ako konti.

"Don’t flirt with her Lionel dadaan ka muna sa batas ng kuya nyan bago ka makaligaw d'yan." Pabirong warning ni kuya. Naku tinakot pa. He's right though, my brother was pain in my backside sometimes when it comes with men. Napakamot na lang si Lionel ng ulo nya.

"Gano'n? Hirap pala no'n." Natawa na lang ako ng mahina.

"Talaga! Tsaka I'm sure it wont happen anyway. For sure she will be the new Operation Manager in RdA island. I bet on that." Flattered naman ako sa confidence ni kuya sakin.

"I believe you Greg. Goodluck Lianna. Don’t be intimidate to Christian ok? Be yourself." Lionel added. Their encouraging words made me calm.

"Thank you guys. I'll do my best." Kasabay ng pagkasabi ko no'n ay ang pagbukas ng pintuan ng CEO.

May lumabas na dalawang lalaki but what capture my attention the most is the yummy, gorgeous, handsome, intimidating man I ever seen. Looking so damn hot in his dark blue 3 piece suit Armani. Nakatulala akong nakatingin sa kanya. My heart is beating so fast.

The CEO Christian Alvin Gonzalez. Damn!

Ang gwapo! Sh*t my panty mahigpit pa ba ang kapit mo? Ang gwapo nya talaga kasi! Tili ng malanding mga brain cells ko.

Ayan na naman ang heartbeat ko ang lakas. Am I attracted to him already? Who wouldn’t? He's very popular in the country together with his friends. But I never gave attention to them kahit palaging sinasabi ni bessy na ang gagwapo nila sa personal.

What I feel now is not normal. He awaken something inside me. Nakatulala lang talaga ako habang nakatitig sa kanya. His spanish feature shown, full of arrogance and authority pero ang gwapo n'ya parin. Walang pangit sa lalaking ito.

Napakislot ako ng makarinig ako ng tikhim galing sa katabi ko. Napalingon ako. Si kuya Greg pala. Pinamulahan ako ng mukha. Matagal kaya akong nakatitig sa kanya? Nakakahiya.

I look at him again. Mukhang nagulat din yata ito. Is he staring at me too? This is the first time I got lost myself in front of a man. At sa mismong taong pag-asa ko pa na makapunta sa isla.

Well done Belle! I compose myself immediately. I'm scared to know kung anu ang itsura ko ng matulala ako. Nakakahiya talaga.

He blink and put his blank face on again.

"You must be Ms. Alarcon. Come inside and let’s talk." At pumasok na ito. His voice is cold. Tama nga yata sila… his ruthless. I deeply sighed.

Binalingan ko ang dalawa para magpaalam ngunit ang creepy ng ngiti nila. Okey? Tinaasan ko sila ng kilay. Their grinned get more wider now. Creepy talaga! There's something on their smile that telling me they knew something I don't know.

"Good luck Lianna!!!" They said in chorus. I just smiled and take a deep breath. Naglakad na ako papasok sa CEO office. When I'm about to close the door, I overheard kuya Greg said.

"Damn! That's the first time I saw Christian react like that." He chuckled.

"I know right." Lionel reply and laughing softly.

I just ignore it, 'di ko naman alam ang sinasabi nila eh. I blow another sigh to calm my nerves. Keep calm Belle and focus. I put my calm face on and turn around. I cleared my throat.

"Good morning sir. I'm Lianna Belle Alarcon."

"Good morning Ms. Alarcon. I'm Christian Alvin Gonzalez… CEO of Gonzalez Empire." He offer his hand for a handshake and I accepted it.

The moment our palms touch I feel the heat flowing in my body. Is this what they called spark?

"N-nice to meet you sir." I immediately remove my hand. Calm down belle.

He cleared his throat. "Have a seat Ms. Alarcon."
