33- Fight

Kelsie's POV I shut my eyes close and lowered my head. I stare at my feet and try to calm myself. I know I've been disliked by this pack since then. I do not know why I am even surprised by how they reacted. I wonder if they were satisfied when my stepsister and stepmother beat me to death. "Answer us, Kelsie. Is Alpha Connor giving you a favor? May we know why?" I can hear Kristine's footsteps walking in my direction. She stopped right in front of me. I lift my head to meet her eyes. The mockery on her face is evident. Her usual teary-eyed and soft-spoken voice is now gone. Are her followers not even surprised by how fast she changed her attitude? I bet they are aware of how fake she is but none has the courage to call her out. "You had your way before because you were the Alpha's daughter. You're scared of having no one so you tried to seduce Connor!" she accused. I shoot a brow up. "Coming from someone who was once a no one but her mother married an Alpha so she became the Alpha's daughter." Her chest rises up and down. I can see her cheeks burning. If this is a movie, I bet there's already smoke coming out of his nose. "How dare you drag my mother and question her love for our father?!" she hysterically replied. "How dare you accuse me of something you also practice?" I replied. My brows furrowed. Did I question it? I was just saying that I am not the only one who benefited from nepotism. Her mother provided nothing on the table but my father still accepted and married her. She should stop acting as if they worked hard to be where she is now. She scoffed. She look to the side as if she couldn't believe what I just said. The tension between us thickens. And I can sense everyone in the room can feel it. Our surroundings went dead silence. Everyone is watching us, looking forward on what we might do next. Between us two, I am the one who decided to break the silence. "Tell me, why are you so mad about the rumor that I and Connor is a thing? Are you jealous?" Kristine crossed her arms over her chest. She smirked at me but I can see no humor on it. She's more than pissed while trying so hard to annoy me. "Why would I be?" This time, I am the one who smiled. I travel my eyes around the group of audiences and back to her. "Does anyone here isn't aware that you like Connor?" She gulped. Her eye blinked uncontrollably. My smile grew wider. She gritted her teeth and glared at me. "At least for me, I like him. How about you? You never liked Connor. You don't like anyone at this pack, and now you're flirting with him? Why? Because he's already an Alpha?" She catch her breath after her long rant. Her chest is rising up and down while trying to calm herself. "You're such a user. You're trying to show everyone that you can do it on your own, but the truth is, you are just being forced to be alone because no one wants you- Before she can finish what she was about to say, my palm landed on her cheek. I hear the gasps of almost everyone in the room as my stepsister's head turn on the side. Kristine instinctively caress her cheek and looked at me with a shocked expression. I smiled at her, mocking her more. "You, b*tch!" she said in a low tone. I have good senses.I can easily hear someone's whisper form afar. I can distinguish someone's smell. And I can see everyone's action in a slow motion... just like how Kristine lift her arms and attempted to throw a punch at me. Before her fist landed on my face, I catch it with my left hand, twisted her arm, and give her leg a kick. "Ahhh!" she screamed. Due to what I did, her back is now facing me while her knees are kissing the floor. I leaned forward to make my lips closer to her ear. "What did you say?" I asked. I made sure she hear me smirking. She did not answer me, but she forced herself to stand. However, I did not give her time and yank her hair. "Ahh! let go of me, b*tch!" she yelled. "I thought you were strong. You managed to beat me to death, right?" I said. She tried to kick my leg, but I easily dodged it. Was that even a kick? I thought a child was poking me. She reach for my hair and pulled it. I have long hair and it is currently not tied so she easily pulled them. "B*tch!" I uttered. We pulled each other hair. The crowd cheered. I am a little taller than her and definitely stronger, so it was easy for me to overpower her. "What is happening here?!" we heard someone from a far yell. I am busy beating my stepsister while she's trying her best to not be beaten to death. We have no time to check who it was. I felt someone grab my arm to pull me away from Kristine, however, I am too eager to inflict pain on her so I snatched my arm back. "Aww!" the man yelped. As much as my curiosity want to check who it was, I'd rather continue pulling this b*tch's hair. "Enough, both of you!" The man once again yelled, but none of us want to let go of each other. Two of the boys from the crowd stepped in and forces us to pull away. "You, b*tch! You should have stayed in your room forever!" Kristine screamed. She attempted to free herself from the hold, but the boy did not let her. On the other hand, I tried to reach her arm and scratch it, but the guy who is holding me quickly catches my wrist and stopped me from hurting my stepsister. "Not going to happen, b*tch! Be intimidated for life!" I yelled back. The guy snaked his arm around Kristine's waist and completely pull her away from me. While the boy who is holding me gently pushed me and stand in front of me to block my view of Kristine while still holding my wrists. My chest is rising up and down as I catch my breath. My glare stays on Kristine, not until someone in the crowd speaks. "Oh my gosh, sir, are you okay?!" the girl from the crowd asked. When I look in their direction, I saw an elder on the floor with blood on his nose. 'F*ck!' I cursed in my mind. Don't tell me I did... "What have you done, Kelsie?" My eyes shifted to my sister. She is now calm. Her arms are crossed over her chest as she flashed a smirk on her face. I glared at her. D*mn it. Why does this have to happen now?! ----- Unedited. English is not my first language.
