Chapter 11: Mated

Two Months Later

Elijah

I had just returned from attending King Cayden's coronation, his father stepped down after the assassination of King Aidan, Prince Tyrell, and Prince Draxon. They were double-crossed by Prince Roman, now King, and his loyalist in a coup a few months back, I couldn't do anything about it. I had to bargain with King Roman for my men who were there held captive during the coup, thank the moon goddess Piot didn't go or I would have started a civil war to get him back. I knew something was going to happen but I didn't expect it to be so soon after giving Lady Addison my blood. Roman knew he couldn't afford a war with me when tensions between us were so high, he sent a maiden to mate with my brother Piot as a sign of a treaty between us. I for one, don't know how he found out Piot was my younger brother, not even my mother knows about him, and two, we have a traitor in Vampora. This was our secret and I had hoped to keep it that way, so we have to be extremely careful about who we let know our business and Kolie had agreed to help flush them out.

The Moon goddess came to me telling me that it would happen this way for their transformation and no one could interfere because she had plans for them and to wait. The Supremes will return and I am one of their Royal Advisors so we mourn and now we wait for however long it takes for them to return. Barron became King of the Bears when his father stepped down, I missed his grandfather Joe but after the death of his family by my former mate, he eventually went crazy and killed himself forcing his young son Jr. to take over at fourteen. Barron wasn't happy when Roman double-crossed Aidan but they were a small community and he had to keep the peace among his people especially since changes would come when Roman got his hooks in things to have the ultimate power he wanted. I walked down the hall to go see my future mate, Marie, we had to put the coronation on hold because of the coup.

I was skeptical about having a mate again, I was burned and I had locked my heart to love until I met with Marie, I don't know how I was able to feel the bond with her. I had to contact Marion and she told me it's a true mate bond so it wouldn't work, I was furious especially now that I had found Marie, this would mean my second mate would be revealed soon. I had stopped by my daughter's mother to make sure she was safe and I did something rather stupid, I hope this doesn't change things in the future. I decide to take a bath and head to my quarters instead to get Jana's scent off me, only to see Marie on my bed reading a book. She looked at me and smiled saying, "Elijah," and ran over to me hugging me before I had a chance to stop her. I felt the tingles of our bond and I hugged her close to me feeling so loved and safe sniffing her neck, hearing the blood in her veins wanting a taste.

She sniffed the perfume on my clothes and said, "You have been with someone," I couldn't lie to her so I admitted it omitting the part about having a daughter and she slapped me in the face. I was shocked to see the tears in her eyes as she went to hit me again but I held her hand and she yelled, "Reject me if you are going to have whores in your bed, I will not be an afterthought if I am going to be your Queen." I looked into her beautiful green eyes because that was a first, I liked it, loved that she put her foot down and my d**k was hard in my pants loving her boldness, not being afraid to go toe to toe with me. I said, "I will not have mistresses if that is what you want and I won't go to Jana again, I promise you that," and I told her about my past with her sister and why I am afraid to fall in love again but she was my solace and I knew that she was different. We spent the next few days getting to know each other until the coronation.

Piot was happy for us and I knew that he was right about taking the time out to talk to Marie, now as I look at her mingle with our guests with her tiara on her head, she fits in well. Piot's chosen mate was sitting looking like a lost puppy and he didn't like her due to the fact she was sent by Roman, someone we didn't trust so we had to keep close tabs on her but he would do anything for the crown as long as it pleased me. I walked over to my lovely mate and put my arms around her linking her, "Are you ready for the change, my love?" She replied, "Yes, as long as you are not going to cheat on me," and I said, "Well it's too late now, the ritual is done and you are my Queen, I only need to finish the mating," and I looked in her eyes saying, "I will never cheat on you." She tip-toed kissing me as I lifted her bridal style taking her to our quarters to finish the mating as the moon shone high in the sky, our guest prepared to party away for the remainder of the night.

Marie

I was nervous as Elijah placed me down on the bed and turned to get more wine, I almost rejected him for Piot because he was my sister's mate and it felt wrong. My mother talked me into giving the King a chance and I did, but I was angry when he was still sleeping around and Jana was the last straw. I was going to reject him but he chose me, I was handed a glass of wine and he told me to drink as he lifted my dress and I whispered, "Elijah," feeling his kisses on my inner thigh. He linked me, "Drink, my beloved," before I felt his fangs on my thigh and I got so aroused closing my eyes and breathing heavily. I drink the wine in one go as I felt his mouth on my core sucking on my clit and I was lost in my surroundings. I woke up to a burning sensation in my stomach, I was hungry to the point of madness, the room was dark and I felt so different, my eyesight cleared up more and I could focus on small things. My hearing was better as I heard voices coming from outside the window with the servants. I opened the door and heard Piot down the hall arguing with his mate, I remember I needed to ask Elijah about Piot being his brother because everyone in Ravena thinks that he is an only child since his sister was killed many years ago. Then, I screamed as my gums started to hurt, Piot turned to me and Elijah came around the corner yelling, "Marie, my love, you're awake," biting his hand and said, "Drink, you need to complete the transition." I wasted no time as I started to drink his blood, it tasted so good and I wanted more as he pulled back saying, "Take it easy, my love," Piot gave me a bottle, it had blood inside of it and I drank it all.

A servant came forward and offered me a drink turning her head and exposing her neck, Elijah guided me so I wouldn't kill her, this taught me how to drink without killing. He said, "Clean up and I will show you around," I kissed him feeling his love for me, my mind drifted to the night we mated and he mind-linked me, saying, "I can read your mind, love," I was embarrassed covering my face but he moves my hand away smiling, I looked at him with lust in my eyes wanting him to f**k me again. He picked me up tossing me on the bed as I screamed giggling, he said, "You don't have to ask me twice," and I knew that I never even asked but he read it in my mind.
