Evelyn was so happy to receive Cole’s response that she wrote him a long message on f*******: that took up half the screen. She apologized on the family’s behalf and told him about everyone who was going to be at the funeral, including their maternal aunt Katherine whom Cole was surprised to find out was still alive. Evelyn also wrote an entire paragraph about how much Cole’s homecoming would mean to her. Cole didn’t want to call it a “homecoming” but simply labeling it as a “visit” didn’t seem right either. He appreciated the sentiment nonetheless.
