I learned that this lady is the head housekeeper. She oversees all the other female staff members and the larger affairs of the manor itself. She’s an immigrant from Zambia. When I asked her what her name was she looked very amused, said a name I can’t pronounce, and then told me to call her *Kana. She was extremely skilled in fixing my hair up and had me dressed and ready for dinner in 5 minutes flat. She’s genuinely impressive.
