4 Alpha Ceremony

Six Months Later

Scarlett POV

I can't believe Jackson is six months old. Today I will be taking over my Alpha duties from my dad. He and my mother aren't going anywhere and will still help with the day to day running of the pack. He wants me to have the title because, as he says, "you've earned it." I have completed all my training and dedicated a few months to having time to enjoy Jackson before I stepped into my full responsibilities. I'm not worried about being the best mom and Alpha because I know I can do both. I decided to wear an a-line dress for my ceremony. Today I chose a deep blue colored dress. Maggie and Sienna will be helping with my make-up and hair. All the surrounding pack Alpha's have been invited to attend the ceremony.

My mother made the guest list as is traditional for the Luna. I never even thought about her inviting all the Alpha's because I didn't think about him. When my mother told me a few days ago that she had invited Alpha Zane, I wanted to puke. I know she had no idea, but I had hoped he would just stay in the past. I could see my father wanted to tell her why he should not be invited, but I stopped him. Did he respond, mom? "Yes, he and his Luna Vanessa will be attending." "He mentioned something about re-approaching you about becoming an ally pack." I take a deep breath and before I can say a word, my father does. "We will never be an ally to that pack." I turn to my father with pleading in my eyes. "I'm sorry Scarlett but your mother should know." "Know what, what secrets are you two keeping she says in my father's direction." "Scarlett never exactly told me but I figured out that Alpha Zane is the one that rejected her." My mother headed for the phone on my desk with a pissed look on her face. What are you doing mother? "Calling that asshat to threaten him to not show up." No don't, I won't let him think he won and that I'm devastated. I want to show him that I have moved on and I'm happy. My mother set the phone down and hugs me. "I'm so proud of you Scarlett."

I have had two days to think about it since we had that discussion. My father was in the doghouse for not telling my mother what he suspected until he made it up to her yesterday. I don't want to know what that means, gross. Maggie brings me out of my thoughts when she walks in with Jackson on her hip. Hey baby boy, you look so handsome. I take Jackson out of her hands. "Scarlett, he just drank, he could spit up on you." It's fine, don't worry about it. After I kiss him for a few minutes my mother comes in, taking him with her. After Sienna and Maggie are done, I look in the mirror at their work. Thank you both. I love it. Sienna is the only one I have actually told about Zane. She whispers in my ear "I can't wait to see that prick's face when he sees you." I laugh and smile at her. "What is the secret I want to know?" Maggie, there is no secret I say before hugging her before we head downstairs.

Alpha Zane

Vanessa comes toward me in the dress I bought her. "I hate this dress." I don't really care you're not going embarrass me by looking like trash. "F**k you Zane." I would be careful when you talk to me Vanessa you haven't been able to do the one thing a Luna should. "I told you I'm not ready for a pup it will ruin my body." I grab her by the arm Vanessa, I'm giving you six months to have a pup, or you will no longer be my Luna. I see the shock at my words. "Are you threatening me Zane?" I most certainly am. I am the Alpha. Don't forget that ever Vanessa. She turns and heads out to the car. When we get inside, I turn to her. You had better be on your best behavior, Vanessa, or you'll be sorry when we get home. "Fine Alpha" she says.

We pull up to the pack house and get out of the car so the driver can park. We head to a garden area that is decorated for the ceremony. The current Luna and Alpha are greeting the guests as they arrive. We walk up next and as soon as I introduce myself, their smiles fall. "Welcome to the Crimson pack, Alpha Zane and Luna Vanessa", Alpha Xander says. Thank you for inviting us. "Yes, your garden is beautiful." When can we meet Alpha Scarlett? "Be very careful Alpha Zane." Now I know for sure he knows who I am. Of course, Alpha Xander, I mean no disrespect. We were invited, and I just want to show my support. I don't mean a word I'm saying, but I still need this pack to ally with me. All the calls turned out just as I thought they would when they heard that Crimson refused to ally with me. "Please take your seats, the ceremony is about to begin." I lead Vanessa to two vacant seats. Once we sit, she tries to ask me what just happened, but I silence her with a look.

Scarlett POV

My father comes through the double doors, and I can see his look before he smiles at me. He's here, isn't he? "He is, but your right you need to show him that he is nothing to you now." I smile and kiss my father's cheek before I thread my arm through his. When we walk through the door, I focus on Elder Shane on stage. My father leads me to stand next to the elder and the ceremony begins. I can hear Jackson babbling as the Elder starts his speech. My father cuts his hand, letting blood flow into the chalice, handing it to the elder. "Scarlett, do you promise to put the packs' needs above your own and always lead with the packs interest first." I do I say before I drink from the chalice. I feel the pack link, which is a lot at first before I get it under control. "Crimson Pack I present to you, your new Alpha." "Alpha Scarlet Rose Wolfe will now lead you in a pack run." The pack bursts into howls and bare their neck to me as a sign of respect. I walk off the stage and kiss Jackson before I shift into Ember. Jackson pets her side before I take off leading the pack. I hope by the time we get back that asshole is gone.

I come back to the stage and shift back, slipping my dress back on. Alphas begin to approach me to offer congratualtions. The first in line is Maverick, Maddox, and Alexia. "Congratulations cousin, you will be a great Alpha", Mavericks says, while Alexia and Maddox nod in agreement. Thank you for coming, my Queen and Kings. Alexia shoots me a glare. I whisper, I don't want to be disrespectful in front of the other Alpha's. I look up and see Thomas and Jenna with Alexandria standing by my parents. Xane Jr lifts me up, spinning me around. Xane put me down you goof. "Come on cuz you are going to be one hell of an Alpha." Thanks, I'm going to even be better than you. "Now let's not get crazy" he laughs. I'll see you inside with your parents. He kisses my cheek and when I look at the next person in line my smile falls. He actually tries to lean in and kiss my cheek. I stick out my hand, Alpha Zane, thank you for coming. "You look beautiful Scarlett." Alpha Scarlett and thank you. This must be your Luna Vanessa, I say, turning to the blonde b***h I remember from the night he rejected me. She sticks out her hand and I take it, shaking it harder than necessary. "Alpha Scarlett, it's nice to meet you" she says as she pulls her hand back."

If you two will excuse me, I have others to greet, please enjoy yourself. I'm just about to walk away when he grabs my arm. I smile I suggest, if you want to keep your hand remove it from my arm. I look to see my father and brother heading in my direction, but I raise my hand and they stop in their tracks. What I failed to see is Maggie coming from the other direction with Jackson. "Scarlett, Jackson wants his mommy." I take a deep breath and turn to take my son from her hands. Thank you, Maggie head inside with mom and dad. Zane steps back like he was slapped but I don't even give him a chance to ask any questions before I walk toward the pack house.
