Chapter 5: Black Rose

"You look happy,"
Tinignan ko ang weird kong katabi na bigla bigla nalang nagsasalita. Inirapan ko siya at hindi pinansin. Of course I'm happy, but he's kinda ruining it.
"Good morning!"the professor entered the room.
I looked at Dane.
"What?"
Napansin ko lang. His senses are so fast. Parang alerto siya sa lahat yung tipong kaunting tingin mo lang sa kanya ay napapansin niya na kaagad, baka nakadrugs 'to ha?
Pero wala naman sa mukha niyang ang nag da-drugs.
"Nothing."

After class I left as usual and he followed me.
"I'll come with you."he said.
I rolled my eyes. Hindi na muna ako dumeretso sa Garden. For sure dun din ang punta niya. I walk towards the cafeteria. I can feel him behind, following me.
"Cleo! Akala ko pupunta ka dun sa garden?"
Fans started to fill the whole cafeteria, covering me, but I still have the space to get through. Pinuntahan ko sila Zeus sa normal na pwesto namin.
"The new student?"
They become serious, halos manliit nalang si Dane sa titig nilang tatlo. Kaya wala ako nagiging boyfriend eh. I looked at Dane, but he's serious too. Aba nilalabanan pa yung titig nila Zeus.
"Meet Dane. Dane meet my bandmates."sabi ko.
They all stood up and give a hand to Dane. He accepted their hands like it's nothing. Dane's tall but kuya Daniel and Gabby is much taller than him.
"Sino ka?"Daniel asked.
"Idiot! Kakasabi lang ni Cleo!"Gabby protested.
"Triggered!"John said and laughed.
Nakitawa din ako dahil ang epic nila mag salita. kuya Daniel pouted, yuck di bagay!
"What's your plan? Bakit ka sumasama kay Cleo? What's your relationship?"Zeus asked.
Surprisingly Zeus is more protective to me than the other boys. Mas close ko kasi siya and he doesn't want anyone to hurt me.
"We're classmates," Dane said.
Because you followed me then deal with them.
"So what if you're her classmate? Why did follow her all the way here?"
"Tama na nga yan!"
They all stopped. Naging kalmado sila.
I suddenly remember Howard. The guy who wants to court me years ago. I gave him the permission to court me, but I told him na kailangan niya din daanan sila Zeus.
Ganyan din ang ginawa nila, but not that epic. Mas nakakatakot sila noon. 'Howard the coward' ang bansag nila sakanya. I tried to stop them, but the title already spread around the campus so he transferred to another school.
I feel bad kaya kinausap ko siya. We're in good terms now.
"Eh kasi naman Cleo just tell us why is this guy with you?"tanong ni Zeus.
He became more serious and curious. Wala naman kasi kaming relasyon! They're asking me and Dane like we're hiding something from them.
"Zeusko naman! We're friends, classmates!" sabi ko.
They looked at me like they didn't believe what I've just said. I rolled my eyes. Ugh!!
"Are you sure? Tell us the truth habang maaga pa."sabi ni kuya Gabby.
They won't believe me 'cause they know I don't make friends especially with guys except them of course.
"Aalis na ko,"I said and waved at them.
"Wait Cleo!"narinig kong sigaw ni Dane.
The boys stopped him and asked him with non-stop questions. Aww! How pitiful! I'm sorry Dane, but they'll take care of you from there. Hindi ko siya pinansin at umalis.
"I need to go! What the f**k!"

I finally reached the garden, but something's wrong. What is that smell? A rose?
Parang ang tagal ko naman na nandito pero wala naman akong nakikitang rose. I searched the whole garden and found a black rose beside the falls.
Wow! This one rose actually spread it's scent in this whole area! I wonder if I can keep this? Wala naman tao diba? I tried to pick it up, but it's too strong.
Nevermind, I'll just watch it grow. Napaatras ako nung bigla itong lumiwanag.
Dane's POV
Today is the day where I need to take Cleo to the Queen, but this f*****g bastards can't keep their mouth shut. They won't even let me go!
"What's your business with my sister?"sabi ng lalaking nasa harapan ko.
I scoffed. Sister? Sister my a*s Jasper. Cleo's bandmate looked at me confused. They should be 'cause Jasper's talking to me informally.
"You already know what it is. Whatever you're thinking, yun na 'yon Jasper."I said.
Jasper is a pretend brother of Cleo.
"I'm asking you. Did the Queen sent you here?"he asked.
"Yeah. She's ready to meet his daughter. If you don't mind. Can you inform Georgina and Michael?"I said.
I saw the sadness in his eyes. I know napalapit na sa kanya si Cleo same with Georgina and Michael who pretended to be Cleo's step parents, but what the queen wants needs to be done.
Besides, they'd be reunited sooner or later.
"Okay I'll tell them."he said.
Biglaan din ang nangyari. The Queen sent me to stalk Cleo so that she can plan things perfectly, but she suddenly changed her mind. I don't know who changed her mind but I think it's for the better. Cleo shouldn't be living in a world she doesn't belong with.
She deserves to know everything about her and she needs to be ready to be the next queen of Belvoir in the future.
"I need to go, Jasper."I said.
Tumango siya.
I teleport myself to the garden. Once Cleo touched the rose which I know she will, she'll lose her consciousness. Luckily catched her before she fall down to the ground. I went inside the falls and chanted a spell.
"Yo Dane ordeno que abra la puerta a Belvoir."
A portal opened, It will teleport us to the gate of Belvoir. The knights bowed when they saw me, I can't teleport inside the palace without showing my face here first.
"Traerme al castillo."
I lay her down her bed. All she needs to do is to sleep. The Queen wants her to be relaxed before she meets her.
Cleo's POV
Ahh! My head hurts!
I had a very bad nightmare. I saw a black rose in the garden and minutes after I touched it, I felt dizzy and I don't know what happened. I passed out, I guess?
Wait... What the hell? Where am I?
Inikot ko ang paningin ko sa kwarto. This is an extravagant room but... Dane from afar caught my attention.
Why is he here? I checked my clothes underneath the comforter. I released a deep breathe when I'm still fully clothed. Phew!
Wait, did he kidnapped me?
"I didn't do anything to you. I also didn't kidnap you. Kind of pero hindi talaga."he said.
What? Wala akong naintindihan sa sinabi niya. I need further explanation! Like what is this place? Where am I? Why am I here?
This guy is insane! Where is this place and why did he bring me here?
"I'm not insane."
He can read my mind too!
"Of course I can." He said.
No! This isn't real! Nananaginip lang ako! Wake up, Cleo!
