special treatment she received

1043 Words
Xavier POV When a morning beam of light penetrated through the curtain and fell on my face, I woke up from my fitful sleep. My head felt heavy due to the lack of proper sleep. Flipping to the other side, I tried to fall asleep again, but suddenly I felt a tickle on my face. Opening my eyes at once, I found Sofia lying beside me and strolling her finger on my face. She was still in her red lace dress from the previous night. Shoving her hand away, I got up at once. “What the hell are you doing in my room, on my bed?” I grumbled. Hastily, she got down from the bed. “I– I was just –” she stammered nervously. Sparing no chance for explanation, I grabbed her arms. Dragging her out of the room, I threw her on the floor. “I have made it very clear that you are not allowed to stroll around my house. Especially my bedroom. That is why I gave you a room to use when you are here. Then how dare you climb my bed?” Getting on her knees, she immediately apologized, “I am sorry, master. Last night you gave me special treatment, so I thought–” I shot her deathly glare which instantly shut her down and lowered her gaze. Little does she know that the special treatment she received was just to escape myself from the thought of Ashlyn. Finding only my umbrella instead of Ashlyn outside the gate, I had returned home. Though I had thought her departure was a good thing, I was not able to stop worrying about her whereabouts. When her thoughts got heavy, I sought my submissive, Sofia’s company. I had a big hope that playing around would help me, but it failed drastically. After refreshment for some time, when I tried to sleep she was in my mind all over again. She not only messed up with my thoughts, but also the intention of Sofia. “Don't – don't you ever dare to cross your line,” I rumbled, pointing at her. "I took you as my submissive. It will never go far from that. And why the hell are you still in the same dress? Are you trying to seduce me?” She shook her head hastily. “No! Not at all!” “It better be that way. Or else you know how much you owe me if you go against the clauses of the contract.” “I– I will keep that in mind, master!” “Get dressed and leave. Don't show me your face until I call.” Plunging on the sofa, I leaned my head back and shut my eyes. Just as I was going to drift into a deep sleep, suddenly, the doorbell rang. I ignored it, hoping whoever the person at the door was would understand and leave. But in the next second, the person started to pound the door. “Brother Xavier, Big Brother!” I could hear Emily calling out. “Emily, not now. Go away!” I said in a weak tone. “Brother, it’s urgent. Please open up!” “Ugh!” Furious, I marched to the door. Just after I pulled the door, I grumbled, “Emily, I have provided you and Evan with the entire main house just so I can be at peace in this out house. Why the hell are you still here? Are you not in love with your life?” “I am sorry! But it's dad. He wants to talk to you–” she said and pushed the phone towards me. Alarmed, I snatched the phone at once. Pressing the phone against my ear, I said, “Dad, where the hell were you? I have been calling you since last night.” “And I have been calling you since morning, you are not picking up!” he said, which made me think about my phone's whereabouts. “Anyway, I called to check on Ashlyn. How is she? She got there safely, right? She must be having feats as she is not answering any of her mother’s calls. Please take care of her.” I signaled Emily to go, and then I shut the door. Then I rumbled, “Dad, I am not doing this again. First it was twins and now her. Do you see me doing anything more than raising people?” “As far as I know, Ashlyn is a grown-up girl. She can take care of herself. You don’t have to–” “Dad, you know what I am talking about. I am telling you I am not taking her in. Twins are all enough for me to create trouble.” “Xavier, my son–” I could sense his voice softening, which he often did to convince me. “No! No! No! Dad, don't even think of manipulating me. That is not going to work. I am not taking her in and that is final.” He sighed heavily before saying, “Okay! Fine! fine! I will find some other way for her. Until then, you can at least look after her, right?” “No, I cannot do that either as she is not here.” I sat on the sofa, trying to have patience. “What? What do you mean? Did she ever show up?” Rubbing my forehead, I replied, “She was here yesterday, but I chased her away.” “You did not–” “Yes, I did, and you can't blame me for that. You should have consulted me before eloping away with your lover.” “I know you are angry and–” “Alex, Alex!” he was interrupted, probably his new wife. “What is it, Mia?” my dad asked. “Ashlyn– Ashlyn– is finally calling.” Hearing her name automatically put me in an alarmed position. “That’s great, put it in speaker!” said my father, and I got eager to hear. “Mom! Mom! save me! Please! Mom, they are gonna kill me. Mom, please–” I heard her crying out.
