Chapter 24: Heaven’s Gate Harbour

Somewhere in Thule’s Capital 

“Everyone is in position my Lord Commander ” a Thule Sargent said.

“Excellent, everything must be timed exactly to work” Raoul said as he looked down into a scrying pool. He saw Thule’s warship heading towards Their target : Heaven’s Gate Harbour. A key port for Riverswell’s trade and supply line.  It was well defended, but Raoul knew exactly where and when to strike. He was determined to have his old friend King Stephan on his knees as he handed over the crown to his precious Country. 

“Soon they will have no where to run. The Empress is please” Hannya mind linked 

“As long as she keeps her end of the bargain” Raoul mindlinked in reply.

“You will have your reward, the Empress is a Goddess of her word, unlike the Moon and Sun God’s” Hannya assured him

“Then the Empress will have this Realm presented to her on a silver platter” Raoul replied with a smile.

Jamie was riding Mare Nubium at great speed, but she was still worried she would not make it in time. Jamie was also nervous about being in the middle of an ocean, in what essentially a body of water.

“We will make it Moon Child, with time to spare” Mare Nubium said firmly. The Mare was as good as her word as she reached the beach before sunrise. As expected her Guardians were waiting for her.

“About time and no Amaethon and I are not please about being kept out of the loop!” Fluff mindlinked.

“Oh hush, you would never have agreed to this and I don’t have time to argue!” Jamie snapped out loud. Fluff just grumbled as he teleported himself on to Jamie’s shoulder, something he hadn’t done since he was a kitten.

Jamie turned to the Mare and said “Thank you Mare Nubium, I will remember your kindness. Please inform the wildlife and residents of the area to evacuate” 

The Mare nodded and said “Consider it done and good luck Moon Child” before galloping back into the ocean.

“Well, let’s get started!” Jamie said as she jumped on to Windsoul. 

“Where to first?” Windsoul mind linked

“The Guard house of course, we need to warn them” Amaethon said 

“Let’s go!” Jamie said and Windsoul galloped off.

Heaven’s Gate Harbour’s  Navy Headquarters.

“Please! You have to listen to me, Thule’s War ships are coming this way! They will be here any minute, you must deploy your soldiers and send a message to the King before it is too late Captain Hogsmead!” Jamie shouted at the old Commander who sat behind a desk. Jamie guessed correctly that Captain had seen any action recently.

“Now you listen here, my Mages regular check the area and sensed nothing. Now if you think I am going to listen...listen to some common w***e come in and tell me what to do, then you are mistaken!” Captain Hogsmead said making sure he sprayed each word.

“Because your arcane mages can’t detect chaos magic! Where is your Elemental users?” Jamie argued.

“Elemental Users? We are a proper regiment here! Why would we have any of those vagabonds here?” Captain Hogsmead roared.

“But the King..” Jamie started to say had ordered a elemental user for each regiment but she was interrupted.  Captain Hogsmead slammed his fists down on the desk.

“I don’t know who you are, but I don’t need you to tell me what my King said. I am personal friends with the King, so I don’t need a Common Slut to tell me what he said!” Captain Hogsmead roared.

“It is too late!” Fluff hissed as a solider burst into the room.

“Captain Hogsmead, a fog cloud is heading towards the Harbour!” The solider said gasping.

“So what? We are buy the sea!” Captain Hogsmead shouted.

“Goddess help us!” Jamie roared exasperated 

“It is moving too fast to be natural, Captain..there is a possibility...” The solider was saying 

“That it is hiding Thule’s war ships! Now sound the Alarm and evacuate the people!” Jamie roared. There was a scilence, as Captain Hogsmead did not make a move.

“Fine! I do it myself! You....get the royal mages!” She commanded the solider.

“But..but...” the solider said

The furniture round the room started to shake. “I would not  piss me off at the moment. So I suggest  you go and get the Royal Mages and meet me outside!” Jamie said quietly. This scared the solider even more then shouting and he raced out of the room. 

“You...you can’t!” Captain Hogsmead

“Oh I can! I am the Trickster Queen, the mate of the King of the Rogues and the Direct descendant of the Demon of destruction! So trust me when I say, you best not get in my bloody way or I will send you to the close chaos pit!” Jamie said in a dangerous voice before teleporting her way to the Dock side.

Jamie suddenly heard the bell ring as the alarm was raised. Jamie felt Windsoul and Amaethon appear next to her.

“ The fog is definitely magic, it is about 5 leagues out and approaching fast” Amaethon mindlinked

“How long till it hits” Jamie asked

“10 mins max. What happened to the Captain?” Amaethon S asked

“He was a bloated bag of s**t. We are by our selves guys” Jamie said with a sigh as the people started to run for cover.

“Incoming” Fluff said as two Mages appeared.

“Gosh they look young!” Windsoul mindlinked 

“Who are you?” One of the Mages asked

“No time! You are here to open portals to get back up from the mountains right?” Jamie said. 

“Yes, how..” the other mage said

“How long will it take?” Jamie asked

“To open the portal? If we both work on it, around 30 mins. We are not that strong and it is a fair distance” The mage said.

“Can’t you open a portal anywhere else?” Jamie asked

“No, the army has moved to the mountains because of the mass gathering of Thule’s army. They are making a push towards the capital” One of the Mages said

Jamie cursed before saying “I will give you as much time as I can. But you must get the portal open and the people through. Understand?”

“You?” The young Mages scoffed

“Elements, protect the Harbour” Jamie said. Instantly, the ground rumbled and a black Gaint came forth, a lightning bird and fire fairy appeared and a large water dragon rose out of the water.

“We will protect the harbour” the elements said in unison

“I think we got this guys, now go!” Jamie said and she heard the Mages gasp and run off. 

“Windsoul?” Jamie said

“I will guide the people to Saftey and carry the sick” Windsoul said.

“And I will organise the troops” Amaethon said

“And I the Mages defences” Fluff said.

“I knew I could count on you guys! Be careful!” Jamie said as she felt them disappeared.

Jamie took her Matantur out of hair and willed it into a staff shape. She slammed it into the ground and put herself into the lotus position

“Let’s give them some trouble, shall we Vanth?” Jamie said outloud,

“Let’s “ Vanth said filling Jamie’s body with strength.
