Chapter 17: Wave Seeing

Jamie could not wait to learn the water magic that the Merpeople had! Jamie was guided into a large hall with Lux and King Caspian.

“Now I always think it is better to start with something medium sized. Large and small things require a lot more concentration” King Caspian said

“That makes sense” Lux commented

“Lux my dear boy, could you go hide somewhere in this hall? Make it easy please!” King Caspian said

“Of course!”said Lux said as he swam off.

“Such a good lad, much better then that rude demon of pain! You know what I mean?” King Caspian said

“Absolutely!” Jamie said.

“Glad we are on the same wave length! Wave length get it?” King Caspian said with a chuckle,

“Did King of the Seas really  just say a Bad joke?” Vanth Mindlinked 

“Does matter how high born you are, you can still have a bad sense of humour!” Jamie Mindlinked back.

“Right I give him enough time. Now the first thing to do is to open your mind’s eye. Can you do that alright?” King Caspian asked.

“Yes, through total concentrating breathing” Jamie said dutifully.

King Caspain snorted and said “who told you that? Some land loving Earth magic user I am guessing?” 

“Why yes, how did you know?” Jamie said shocked

“Because they always going on and on about centring! Don’t get me wrong, that is good for lots of magic, but you don’t need it to open your mind’s eye! It must take your forever!” King Caspian said

“Yes and I can only see elemental threads for a short amount to time” Jamie said

“Hmmm let’s have a look shall we?” King Caspian said. Jamie felt a warm flow all over her body and she knew King Caspian was using his magic.

“Interesting, you seem to have a few blockages. Have you ever broke your back recently?” King Caspian asked.

“Yes! But the healer unblocked my energy flow when she healed my back” Jamie said remembering the incident with Raoul, where she fell it into a mountain river.

“Yes, she was good but she missed a few. No matter, we can sort it out now!” King Caspian.

“How?” Jamie said

“By doing this!” King Caspian said before flicking Jamie in the middle of the forehead.  Jamie immediately felt a power surge in her brain as she felt her head spin. 

“Jamie!” She heard Lux shout over the roar in her ears. She fell to her knees as she saw stars in her vision.

“She is fine in a few moments, obviously she had a bigger blockage then I thought!” King Caspian said

“She better be!” Lux snapped

Jamie head stopped spinning and she lifted her head. “By the Goddess!” She whispered. She could see the different colour threads of the universe with out thinking. She also noticed the threads were different thickness and length. Some of them where joined to others and there already some tied in knots. 

“Are you Ok?” Lux said and Jamie turned to look at him. He was a mass of black and multi colour threads. 

“I can see all the threads! It is so beautiful!” Jamie said In wonder 

“It is child, Father Light  and Mother Universe knew what they were doing when the created this world” King Caspian said softly.

“So what now!” Jamie said

“We have to organise the water threads. This might be slightly tricker for you, because I presume as the Moon Child you can see all of them!” King Caspian said and Jamie nodded.

“Well it is simple, call all the water threads to you and then release them” King Caspian said.

Jamie tried for a few minutes to will them towards her, but failed. 

“Try talking to water like you normally do” Lux said helpfully 

“OK!” Jamie said 

“Water?” Jamie said and suddenly she saw a blue ball of light appear in front of her. It quivered in excitement about being called,

“I can’t believe you are here! Water like very much! Nice merman healed you qWater mind-linked

“I am glad you approve! Can you gather all the blue threads and bring them to me?” Jamie said 

“Only blue?” Water asked

“Only blue” Jamie said. Within seconds the water element had zipped around and brought her the threads. Jamie had to will the threads to stay close together. The  pulsated blue and vibrated - they wanted to return to the place they had come.

“Now what?” Jamie asked in a strained voice.

“Let them go with a bit of power” King Caspian said

“Alright” Jamie said and she let the threads go. Instantly the rushed away creating waves of power that bounced off every surface. Jamie could see for a couple of second the whole room down to the cracks in wall.  Jamie then heard a boom.

“What happened?” Jamie said panicked as she sensed panicked guards coming in fast to the hall. Lux’s instinctively pushed Jamie behind him.

“Are you alright your Majesty?” A Guard said 

“Yes, we are fine! Stop your fussing!” King Caspian said

“But your Majesty the roof of the hall has been blown off!” The Guard said astonished

“Well I misjudged the power of the Moon child, it is an old hall anyway!” King Caspian.

“One built by my late Grandfather!” Coralia pointed as she had come to see what is the fuss about.

“I am so sorry!” Jamie said genuinely upset. She had manage to destroy to important elemental sites in less then 24 hours! Some reincarnated Goddess she was turning out to be

“Oh don’t be child, we were planning some renovation of the Palace anyway!” Coralia said

“You are not angry?” Jamie said shocked

“By the Goddess no! We are of water and go with the flow! The important thing is, did you manage to see anything?” Coralia said

“ yes!” Jamie said

“Good, because we have just got a report that one of the sea mares has been poisoned” Coralia said suddenly seriously.

“Poisoned by what? Lux said 

“Chaos!” King Caspian growled.
