Chapter 14: Golem

“Just Breath” Afra Dune said. 

“I am breathing!” Jamie said and felt a smack across her back. She was sat with her legs crossed and her hands in the lotus position. They were outside in a stone circle that hummed with elemental magic.

“Not correctly! Total concentration breathing takes..” Afra began to explain

“Total f*****g concentration? We have been doing this for hours!” Vanth mind-linked in a bored tone. Jamie made the mistake of smirking.

“Something funny Moon Child?” Afra snapped

“Oh no! Sorry, I will try again but I am not sure what I am suppose to be seeing!” Jamie moaned

“I don’t know how you do it Dion! I really don’t know how you managed to teach her anything!” Afra said  in an exasperated voice.

“Well it has taken a lot of time and Repetition” Dion said dryly

“I can see, I thought she was suppose to be gifted? She is suppose to be the reincarnation of the Moon Child, I see no evidence of this!” Afra said Sceptically.

“Pardon?” Jamie said suddenly feeling angry.

“What is the matter? Can’t take constructive criticism? Have you been wrapped in cotton wall all your life?” Afra said

“Afra, don’t...Kitten can’t always control her magic!” Dion warned. Even he with his limited people skills, he could sense trouble.

“Well that is the problem! She is sloppy and is about as bright as a cave! She can’t even control metal yet, I have 5 year olds who can do that!” Afra argued.

“I know Earth is my weakest element” Jamie said, trying to control her temper. She took deep breaths in and out, concentrating on filling and emptying her lungs. Slowly in her minds eye she could see coloured strands starting to form in her mind. 

“You telling me! This breathing technique is just simple basics! Maybe, it is because her mate is a demon....they are stupid, brutish creatures. What is the saying if you lay down in dirt, you get dirty? I think that is very much true!!” Afra bitched

Anger flowed through Jamie in waves and she stood up.

“You dare insult my mate and my friends?” Jamie said quietly in a dangerous tone. The copper strands and the red strands suddenly started to shimmer wildly. They were moving towards her like they were begging for her to touch them.

“Why not? It is true, they are filthy creatures that should be purged from existence” Afra said

Jamie growled and grabbed the copper and red threads. 

“I should say that you shouldn’t do that....but the b***h has got it coming!” Vanth roared in through their mind linked

Jamie Pulled the threads towards her and tied them. Instantly the threads glowed violently and the ground started to shake. The threads turned a bright orange.

“Jamie what did you do?” Dion shouted as the ground continued to rumble. A large explosion happen and a large creature climbed up. Jamie could see the creature, it glowed orange in her mind. It was a giant man shaped figure that radiated heat.

“You summoned me Weaver! What wish do you want me to fulfil?” The creature’s voice boomed

“What are you?” Jamie asked

“I am a Lava Golem, you willed me into existence and I am now here to serve” The Creature’s Voice boomed in reply. 

“Ohhhh look at you go! We can have some proper fun now! Ask it to squash that b***h, then I can play with her soul!” Vanth said wickedly. Jamie was tempted, very, very tempted!

“Jamie? JAMIE!” She heard Loki’s voice shout as she felt his presence appear. 

“She has called a Lava Golem!!” Dion shouted as he cast a perfect cube encasing him and Afra

“She can control Lava! There hasn’t been a Lava user in over a thousand years!!” Afra said shocked

“I told you not to piss her off! Now those Demons you hate so much are going to have to sort her out!” Dion snapped.

“Woah Princess, that is impressive! I thought you were doing complete control breathing?” Loki said casually.

“I know what you are doing and it is not going to work! Golem, break that cube!” Jamie said. She was going to teach that b***h a lesson! She thought. The giant creature turned and slowly walked to the cube. With a big fist it started to bash the top of the cube. The cube was starting to get covered in red hot lava, making the temperature unbearable inside the cube.

“s**t!” Dion cursed.

“You got me! Of course I was trying to distract you. I am taking a guess Afra has upset you in some way?But  don’t you think willing a elemental creature into existence is a bit extreme?” Loki said calmly.

“She insulted me, my mate and friends!” Jamie snapped

“Do wolves care about the opinion of sheep? That is what Afra is to us, a weak sheep” Loki said seriously 

“Hurry up Loki!!” Dion shouted as the cube started to crack 

“Sheep?” Jamie asked. Loki had a point, why did she care about the opinion of this women? Demons certainly did not! Richard would have just laughed!

“Fine! But if she says anything insulting again..” Jamie warned

“I will help you and Vanth consume her soul for all eternity!” Loki promised 

Jamie sighed and said “Golem, return to your home please”

The creature stopped and turned to Jamie. “Is this your will?” the Golem asked

“My will is to be done!” Jamie said

The Golem turned slowly walked to the hole before climbing down into it. Dion dismissed the cube.

“I am going to cool off” Jamie said as she teleported away.

“Where has she gone?  The stone circle is ruined and she has ran away!” Afra snapped

Loki quickly moved in front of her and stared directly into her eyes.

“Listen you stream of infected Chaos piss, you ever and I mean ever, insult any of us again, I will make sure your soul is consumed in a chaos pit. How do you feel about spending an eternity been tormented by a band of lowly chaos demons?” Loki said his eyes glowing.

“You wouldn’t dare! The Queen would not allow it!” Afra said confidently 

Loki threw back his head and roared with laughter. “You have no idea who you dealing with do you? Let me educate you a little.  Her mate is a direct descendant of the demon of destruction, Edward is a direct descendant of the demon of Death, Harper is a direct descendant of the demon of Famine and me? Well I am direct descendant of Demon of War!! We are all high demons, the guardians of the starlight barrier and the generals who won the  last chaos war. So belive me when I say that you are nothing mortal! As for Princess? You are not worthy to kiss her feet! The only reason I am not feasting on your beating heart is because of her! So I suggest you go back to your scrolls and start learning some f*****g Lava magic and actually be some use!” Loki said. With that he launched himself into the air to find Jamie.

“You OK? I know Lux can be full on when Loki has taken over” Dion asked

“I never understand why the Queen let them in the Island” Afra said

“Why? Jamie is friends with the Elements” Dion said

“Friends? We have affinity for the Elements, but we are not friends with them!” Afra scoffed

“You misunderstand me, my Dear. Friends with the Elemental Gods and Goddess! Very good in fact, she visits them in the Dream Realm” Dion said

“Are you sure she is not just making it up?” Afra said

Suddenly there was a gust of wind that pushed Afra to the ground, which suddenly started to swallow her.

“Think the Elements are saying she is not lying!” Dion remarked as he helped her up.

Jamie meanwhile was paddling in the sea swimming pool. It was one of her favourite places! A swimming pool that was refilled with the tides. Jamie heard a splash.

“Hello!” A familiar voice said

“Hello” Jamie said with a smile
