Chapter 6 - It's a Trap

1410 Words
***Jessica’s POV**** I was flabbergasted by what he had just said. I couldn’t be pregnant, especially with his pup! I know you shouldn’t lay down with someone that you wouldn’t want kids with because once you do, they’re you’re equal. He sauntered away with a chip on his shoulder, almost like he was proud to have gotten me pregnant. Did he do this on purpose? This b*tch just trapped my a*s! Well, now I know how NFL and NBA players feel. This is all too confusing. Usually, aren’t guys the ones that don’t want to have kids with their one-night stand? “Well, you did tell him about your ex-mate and the sh*t he’s putting you through. So, maybe he thought you would want him as a chosen mate.” That was said with so much venom and hatred, and I didn’t know my lycan could sound like that. “Woah, wait. What has gotten you so fired up? I swear it has been a minute since I’ve heard from you. I know you never left me, but it was like you distanced yourself from me.” “Because I did! It was becoming too much for me, both emotionally and physically! I know you know how it feels physically, but what about on a beastly level!? AXEL AND I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH UNIMAGINABLE AGONY! He never wanted to be with another woman, but somehow, he was being blocked from connecting with Ivan! You don’t understand the pain of knowing that something/someone is purposely blocking you from not only your mate but your human counterpart! In that situation, you feel so f*cking helpless or powerless! Whichever one you want to f*cking use, that’s how I’ve felt for goddess knows how long!” I was stunned; I never stopped to consider how they felt. I was being an a*shole and assumed that his wyvern agreed with his behavior when that wasn’t the case. As much as I wanted to make things right with Ivan, I was pregnant with someone else’s pup, and wyverns are known to be territorial. It would be considered an understatement to say that I was beyond f*cked! “Isn’t f*cking what got you into this situation?” My lycan sneered at me. As much as I wanted to be mad at her, I couldn’t because she had a valid point. If it weren’t for my deep desire to get back at Ivan, I wouldn’t be pregnant right now. I was torn because part of me wanted to terminate the pregnancy, but the other part wanted to keep it. “I swear on the moon goddess herself, if you get rid of this baby, I’ll do everything I can to leave you, even if it means rejecting you as my human counterpart.” Her voice broke at the end, which told me that she didn’t want to do that. However, based off of her tone, I knew she was serious. It was extremely rare for someone’s wolf or lycan to reject them, but it has happened, although that was on extreme occasions. Instantly, my blood began to curdle. We’ve always agreed on everything, except we’re polar opposites this time. She retreated to the back of my mind in a flash but didn’t put a block up. That warmed my heart because it meant she would still be there for me. However, I could tell that our conversation had affected her emotionally, so she needed her alone time. In the meantime, I need to figure out how to navigate this sh*t. There’s only one person that has always saved my a*s when I f*ck up, my sister. I returned to the hotel room to get my keys, only to find where I had put them empty except for a note. “I’m sorry, but I had to take your keys. I can’t afford for you to run away with that f*cking ugly lizard-looking beast, especially when you’re carrying my pup. Please take this time to relax and focus on the family we’ve started together.” XOXO -Luke I launched into a fit of uncontrollable laughter, and it was the most sinister sound I’ve ever made. Crumpling the paper into a ball, I tossed it into the trash. “Well, Luke, welcome to my villain era. I was attempting to try to forgive you for removing the condom while we were having s*x, although I know myself, and I’m way too petty to forgive that sh*t. “Yeah, we know. You still haven’t forgiven that girl from 3rd grade for putting gum in your hair.” My lycan mumbled at me. She couldn’t hide the playfulness in her tone, yet I knew she was still hurting over this a*s backward situation I got us into. Since I didn’t have my keys, I was stuck until I devised a plan that excited my lycan and me. I started the process of removing my clothes until I stood there in my n*ked glory. Without thinking twice, I waltzed out of the room, heading toward the forest. “Jessica, you do know that you’re stark naked?” My lycan hissed at me, almost like she was a cat. I shrugged my shoulders before I realized that she couldn’t see me. “Yes, I know. Did you forget that we have the ability to go invisible?” I all but scuffed at her sometimes. It’s like she believes that I just make impulsive decisions. “Do I need to remind you about your ex-boyfriend Derrick? Or the felon that you almost dated?” “Okay! You didn’t have to hit below the belt like that! Anyway, let’s shift so we can make this run because we have a long a*s trip ahead of us.” It was almost like clockwork with how easily we switched control. Since she had complete control, I decided to use this time to think about my current situation. ***Martha’s POV (Jessica’s & Amber’s mom) POV**** I know hel* is hot, but d*mn. If I had known that it was this hot, I would’ve covered my tracts better. “You du*b b*tch! Do you really think that you’re smart enough to cover your tracts from me?” The grim reaper's daughter sneered at me. At the sound of her voice, then and there my blood started to boil. For f*cks sake! How long is it going to take for them to find a way down here!? I mean, it’s not every day that someone is willing to go to h*ll although, wyvern are known to live a long time and are hard to kill, so that might be a barrier for him to get down here and the fact that it’s f*cking impossible to escape h*ll. “Mate.” A harsh, raspy voice whispered behind me. Immediately, a rage that I hadn’t felt in years overtook me. “Oh, hello, Lucy.” A c*cky smirk was plastered across my face. Suddenly, the room became hotter, and I knew I had gotten under his skin. “You’re playing a dangerous game, Martha. It would be wise if you remembered who the f*ck you’re dealing with! We’re not in the lycan kingdom anymore! B*tch, you’re in my hood.” The smirk that crept across his face made my previous one look pitiful. It was clear how evil and twisted he was. He spun around on his heels and started to walk out. “Oh, by the way, if you thought I was f*cked in the head before, you’re in for a surprise.” He threw that last statement over his shoulder before a blood-curdling cackle practically shook the walls. It was then and only then that I finally allowed myself to break down. My tears were flowing so fast that they could rival a monsoon. Violent sobs rattled my chest as I allowed the grim reality to settle in. I was going to miss Amber’s wedding, that is, if it hadn’t already happened. I don’t know how long I’ve been down here since h*ll exists outside of time and space. How much of both of my daughter's lives have I missed out on? It’s bad enough that I wasn’t able to be there for a majority of Ambers’ life, and then this sh*t happens! “I can help you escape, but it’ll cost you.” I looked up to see the last person that I’d ever expected to see, f*cking Blair!
